A variety of sizes makes food preparation very efficient! It's been a while since I used metal bowls but decided to go back to them when I inadvertently cracked a large mixing bowl on a granite counter. These three bowls appear small but when I used the middle bowl to prepare 2.5 pounds of turkey meet for a recipe, I found that it was large enough to accommodate extra ingredients, including bread crumbs, eggs etc.! Thought these would be too small to work with but they are in fact very appropriate. I love the non-skid bottoms and these work well on the slick granite countertops that I prepare food on. No more spinning light weight tin buckets that toss food every where. These bowls are practical, deep and manageable. Love that I bought this set!

Beautiful & Functional

These bowls are a beautiful addition to my kitchen. They look very nice and are nice to use as serving bowls for parties, or mixing bowls for cooking and baking events with family and friends. The rubber bottoms and air-tight seals also make them very functional for preventing slips and spills, and keeping food fresh in the fridge. Thanks for a great product. I highly recommend these to anyone who spends time in the kitchen!

My best purchase so far this season!

I love these bowls! They are good looking, lightweight yet strong and stable, clean up and stack together nicely, and stay firmly where you need them to be. (If they could somehow morph into a living, breathing human male we'd be headed down the aisle toward blissful, holy matimony this very day!) I bought these for my Thanksgiving dinner prep and boy, did they deliver! They did get a bit scratched up on the inside from the beating blades of my mixer (hence the 4 stars for durability, but then again, what doesn't, right?) The only downside to these bowls is that I did not buy more (a problem I shall soon resolve in the very near future!) If you're still on the fence about making this purchase, get off of it, hit the BACK button in the upper left corner of the review screen, add this to your shopping cart, and CHECKOUT already! You'll be so glad you did! (And remember to read the instructions when you get them, especially about how to properly seal the lids. Hint: there's a REASON for the bullseye in the middle! Best of both worlds

This is a great set of inexpensive yet good quality mixing bowls. I have a set of Pyrex mixing bowls that are useful for the microwave, but they are rather heavy and inconvenient to get out of the cabinets for just mixing ingredients. I also have a set of cheap plastic mixing bowls that slip and slide all over the counter when I try to mix anything vigorously in them. This Fitzroy and Fox set gives me the best of both worlds: they are lightweight enough to be convenient, but the silicone bottoms also mean they stay put on the counter. The bowls are very attractive as well. The reflective finish is nice. The lids and bottoms are a pretty blue. The bowls don't ugly up my kitchen when I leave them out overnight while soaking beans or letting a non-knead bread dough ferment. The fact that they have lids is a great bonus. I don't understand the complaint made by another reviewer who says that the lids don't close but merely rest on top of the bowls. I think perhaps she has the lids upside down 🙂 as they are designed to fit *inside* the bowls, not rest on top of them. Personally I find that the lids seal nicely. They even provide a bit of air tightness if one presses down on the center of the lid as one closes the bowl. The lids are perfect for storing items in the refrigerator. I can whip cream in the bowl, close it with the lid, and store the cream in the fridge for a bit until I'm ready to use it, with no danger of spills. The set would be perfect if there were also one smaller and one larger bowl, and if the lids were silicone rather than plastic. But I imagine those would increase the price of the set a fair bit, so this set is optimal for price-value ratio.

These bowels solve every mixing and storage problem I can imagine. The right sizes with a lid. Time will be the test.

These are darn good bowls

My wife likes them. The three year old likes them. The middle size bowl is his new favorite hat. But I'm the one who cooks in them. I like that they're sturdy with no sharp edges. They look really clean after I use and wash them. Some bowls just never get really clean looking. Maybe those ones are made from cheaper metal. These bowls are substantial enough to stay put even when I have to use some force to crush tomatoes or mix thick batters. Darn good bowls. All the caps fit well, too.

Best Bowls Evahhhh

First off, love love , love these stainless steel bowls. Best I've ever owned. No more plastic bowl sets for me or glass ( which can break if you are clumsy like me or my family) lol. Anyways, every since I bought my beloved Instant Pot pressure cooker I fell in love with the stainless steel bowl it has so when I ran across these bowls here I thought I'd give it a go. NOW PAY ATTENTION! I had read many,many reviews before I ordered. I always like to hear opinions. Well, lemme tell you, I did take notice of complainers and like always, lol, it's usually because they are doing something wrong or not paying attention to instructions or tips. Soooooo, listen. There's nothing wrong with these lids on the bowls if u use them right. Geesh people. I make sure when putting the lid on I press on that center circle,bulls eye if you wanna call it, and let it seal correctly. It never has popped off yet and I've had several weeks now and use all the time. Plus don't throw the lids in the dishwasher, duh, you should know high heat can runi things and distort them, ok? So don't whine and complain they don't work if you are not paying attention. Ok? ok, lol. Lastly, heeeheee, and here's where I get a big chuckle and laugh, the company Fitzroy and Fox,Inc. that handles these wonderful items,well,they send the best follow up letters to see if you got them and how do you like them, and oh they are wonderfully funny and silly in there greetings and I love their staff,lol,I've been pretty busy so haven't answered any of them until now,lol, so thanks Mike Tecku for getting through to me,lol, first by calling me wonderful, then by offering to name your first child after me,rofl,that's PEGGY LEA, get it right Mike.lol, plus by planting a cherry tree in my honor,lol anyways, thanks, I do love them.

Convenient and good quality!

I have been using these regularly for marinating meats & prepping meals for the past few months and could not be happier with them! The lids are air tight, and the bowls are sturdy and can be placed in the dishwasher. I love that you can place the lids on and shake the bowls to evenly distribute seasonings, dressings, and/or marinades. The lids are also nice when placing prepped vegetables/leftovers in the fridge. While I also have other mixing/prep bowls without lids that are plastic, I always reach for these first!
