I don't know what's wrong with me. I found out that my local big box store (rhymes with Smarget) wouldn't deliver Easter candy. What the heck, Smarget? I had a hankering for jelly beans during the season and thought this bag would do it. 5lbs of jelly beans is a lot. I mean really a lot. If you've got a jillion kids or some kind of jelly bean distribution network, you'll be fine but for a single person this was a bit much. Flavors aren't very strong. Even the black ones (which I love) aren't as flavorful as I'd like. But they work and if they're for kids, I'm sure they won't care. Great value for the money but seriously, it's a huge bag.
This is my second bag. Not stale and hard, I'm re-upping getting another bag. A few beans work well for a sweet fix without being tempted to eat another high calorie or fat desert, without being tempted to over do it i have actually lost a couple pounds. Instead of adding more sugar to coffee i actually have tossed a couple jelly beans into my large cup and they dissolve quickly. I am on a strict medical renal diet, minimizing potassium, phosphorous and sodium and doctors ok jelly beans whereas so many many things are not allowed. And they aren't messy. Very shareable. i pack some in small baggies for long trips. Some of these will be traveling for 3 weeks to the canary Islands but they aren't coming back, not adding a lot of junk to my trunk either.
Five pound of yummy Brach's jelly beans! The price was really good and the jelly beans taste as fresh and tasty as one would want their jelly beans to be. The different flavors are a treat. I do love the licorice flavored ones and I know some don't so keep that in mind since this bage contains them. These are larger than the other fancy brands and I actually like the larger size more.

Generic jellies sometimes taste like pure sugar, and sometimes specialty beans are inky and bitter (especially purple and green jelly beans). Gourmet jelly beans hit the spot, but only in a way just gourmet jellies can. Sometimes, as great as those are, I really crave just plain old regular Jelly beans. Something sweet, with that distinct fruity flavor. These beans are really tasty. Not the best, but better than most. The bag I received had about 30-40 black beans in the bunch, which is a low ratio. I'm not a fan of the black ones, so I didn't mind missing out on those. If you enjoy black licorice flavor you might feel a little shorted here.
I had to come and write a review. I almost didn't order because of reviews that they were stale, without flavor, or not really Beach's. Let me tell you, these are the real deal! They are fresh! Just the right crunch when you bite into them but the are a nice, lasting chew. And the flavor? Wow! From when you first bite them and the flavor bursts into your mouth until you are done chewing it, the flavor is spot on! Oh, and plenty of black ones. I would say that all of the colors were evenly distributed. I wholeheartedly recommend them, and will be reordering them again.
Brach's jelly beans arrived timely as promised. They are fresh and just as I remember Brach's flavors to be. Perfect. According to the rating scale, the packaging is for wholesale, no problem, but not noteworthy, and as for gift-ability, it does look like a wholesale purchase. I have ZERO complaints, but according to the rating scale for those characteristics, I couldn't score it higher on those two scales provided (only) for packaging. If you're not purchasing this candy product for presentation, it's a perfect buy!
Jelly beans are my wife's favorite candy. However they are very difficult to find except around Easter. Brach's are her favorite and this was a great bargain. She does not like Jelly Belly's just plain old large size jelly beans. As advertised, arrived quickly.
I was a bit worried when the 80 oz bag cost significantly less than the 40 oz. But the jelly beanss I received were exactly what I expected! I confess, I prefer the brighter flavors in other bands to the Brachs. Which is why I buy them around Easter. But I need to keep some on hand for blood sugar lows, and these fill the bill for that. The bag says they are made in Mexico
Fresh and packaged great to keep the freshness. I got several smaller bags in one large pack but that helped keep the jelly beans from getting hard/stale

Tasty not bland, fresh not hard. great price
