This is a fabulous product! Please note that the curve should be downward when you cut. I had a 4lb hard shell lobster during New Years, when I used it for the first time. Growing up in New England Coast & having a Grandfather who owned a Seafood Business for years, I've broken a lot of shells. I can definitely say I'm glad I bought this. I depend on reviews greatly in buying products online, so I try to do my part to give feedback. Some comments made that I would like to address from my experience with these. These are scissors not a nutcracker, so don't try to use them as such and you won't be disappointed. I twist off all the parts of the lobster with my hand. Once you get to that point, use these scissors to cut through the openings of the shell just enough to be able to push the meat out with the other seafood poke tool you have, or a pointy fork end, or even the end of the nutcracker you have. When you get to that claw end, you have options, if its small enough, use your nutcracker if you wish. I used this product to open up the end as much as possible & even though I had the nutcracker on the counter, I never used it. One thing I will say that you do need to be careful with, particularly with a hard shell, is to be careful that fractured peices of the shell is wiped off. I would highly recommend these scissors for hard shell seafood

We love sea food and these scissors are perfect for pre-treat shrimps, open the lobsters and crabs shells. After buying the first one I order several more, so all my guests could have one.

There were TEN OF US at a crab feed. We shared the scissors (and had several crab crackers, picks, etc.) The scissors were GREAT for opening the claws and the larger portion of the legs. Of course, I made points with everyone else for bringing all the tools. Thank you for the supplies.

I'm very pleased with this purchase, it makes eating seafood very easy, great quality and great price.

This is so nice! Love the different sizes! Small for the young ones, next size is our usual, and next size for picnics. I buy the 10 pound Chub of Hamburger. (Cheaper) cut in half. Season some with Mesquite seasoning (our favorite) and some differently each time. Press them out. Place on cookie sheet. Use parchment paper for differen layers freeze for 3-4 hour. Then take 6 or 8 make two stacks, placing wax paper between them and vacuum seal. Now you always have seasoned hamburger patties for those nights you don’t want a lot of work in the kitchen. I figure this saves me, time and lots of money! I get brags!

I was expecting a dozen crabs and needed more tools to go around. These worked perfectly and since I did have any they added to my tool collection in the kitchen.

These rings work very well. I use them to make around 5-8 at a time and it so much easier to make a consistent size burger. The case is nice too, it helps to keep track of the rings so they don't get lost in a random drawer in my kitchen. I pack the ring by hand before I press it to get out any air pockets. The burgers stay together better using this than when I hand made the patties.

These are exactly what I was looking for. We were having a birthday party for our son and wanted to make sliders, but I wanted a quick way to do it since there was a lot of them to be made. This was inexpensive and worked perfectly. It took a few tries to get the hang of putting the right amount of meat in the circle, but once you're in the flow of it it was pretty effortless. It made the food prep a lot easier!! Also, what made me decide to purchase this patty press was the fact that it is all self-contained. Everything fits perfect into a small plastic 'case' that the actual press locks into. Barely takes up any space and it fits neatly in my drawer. Great purchase, works perfectly for the job it's supposed to do, and price is right!

I really like this hamburger press. My mom has one that is more container like, with a bottom. I like this one better because you just need to get the ring off after pressing. I press them right on the freezer paper sheets and stack them to wrap and freeze. The biggest is great for the really big buns, the middle for normal size, and the smallest for those really tiny buns you can find sometimes. I don't find the press or rings stick until I've done quite a few hamburgers. Then I wipe it with a paper towel quick and keep going. Throw it in the dishwasher when I'm finished.

This is probably the best all around burger maker we've seen. Multiple size options, easy clean-up, and all-in-one storage.
