It's wonderful

I'm living in a warm southern climate now, but having been born and raised all my life in a northern climate I know what bitterly cold nights are. This lighter weight comforter is perfect here for the milder but still cold winter nights. I actually worked late last night, slept in this morning. The postman brought the comforter, I opened it and fluffed it a bit, laid it on the bed and went back to sleep. I was nice and warm right away, it didnt even need time to fluff up to be warm and comfy. It's not a very crackly crunchy noisy fabric. It has no strange smell to it. It comes rolled up tight, vacuum sealed to fit in a small shipping box, but open it up and fluff it out, after a couple hours it's perfect. It's like sleeping under a warm soft, fluffy cloud. Flannel sheets, one old lightweight polyester comforter (because I like the color pattern), this down comforter with a duvet cover = the perfect sleep experience. Yes, do buy it. I also bought a twin size comforter and twin size duvet cover to go on a double bed. Measure carefully to get what you want. This was perfect for me, as I didn't want to spend more money for more comforter that spilled over the edge of the bed and not used. I want most of the comforter on top of the bed where I'm sleeping, not extra draped all down the sides.

Comparable to our authentic European down comforter

We have a (very expensive) down comforter straight out of Germany with a very similar thread count and fill power as this one. We bought this for the guest room and noticed some similarities and some differences between this and the other one. The warmth of the two are very comparable as are the weights. (They are both pretty heavy and that’s what we wanted) I think it weighs about 9 pounds. Both are King size and we have the same duvet cover on both comforters. (Also purchased on amazon) I did not notice any odd smell or discoloration of fabric when I opened it. After a few hours of being unpacked it fluffed up nicely and is warm enough that I need no other sheets or blankets to go along with it. The differences between the two are that the material on this one is slightly stiffer than our European comforter. Both make a rustling Sound when moving around but the European is a bit quieter. I know some reviews have been negative because of the rustling noise so I guess I’m just saying that the expensive ones do it too. The other thing with the material being stiffer is that when you’re under the German-made comforter it almost feels as though it’s hugging you as it seems to settle nicely around your body. This comforter also does this, just to a lesser extent. For the price I feel like this comforter can’t be beat. The only reason I might have ANY negative remarks is because I’m literally comparing it side by side to one that is higher quality but also higher priced. I have zero problems with this comforter whatsoever and I’m so glad to have it. Happy slumbering everyone!

"Its like sleeping under a pie"

I recently purchased this as a christmas present for my boyfriend, but the comforter is so big I had to give it to him early because I didnt have anywhere to hide it! Im happy about this though, very happy. My boyfriend has sleep apnea and all around just has a hard time sleeping, he had this cheap polyester filled comforter that made him sweat like a pig and he would wake up in the night. When I moved in I brought with me all of my down pillows and my fluffy down blanket. Turns out, hes a blanket thief. Then it was my turn to wake up in the middle of the night but I woke up to the cold because of him taking MY blanket in his sleep, and so the quest was on to find him a blanket that will firstly and most importantly help him sleep well; and secondly, one that he loves so much he will stop stealing my blanket. My quest is over. I bought the oversized king size comforter because my boyfriend is 6'4 and its difficult to find things long enough for him, it most certainly is. This sucker on a queen spills out every which way and if im in bed you cant find me. Fantastic for scaring your loved ones. When we settled down to go to bed he had a massive grin on his face, he said its like sleeping under a pie. The comforter is THICK thick with 4 K's, its fluffy and has a nice weight to it EXACTLY what I was looking for for him, he absolutely loves it. The first night he sank under the covers and was konked out snoring by the time I got netflix going. He didnt move once in his sleep, and a similar pattern has follwed since we've had this comforter. My sweatheart is finally getting the much needed rest he deserves and Im so happy that I found this for him, its worth the money thrice fold. He no longer tosses and turns, and my favorite by far... No more sweating! I might purchase a second one once we get our larger bed purley for comfort, like I said this baby is THICK; its wonderful to curl up in when youre in bed alone. All in all, if you want a big fluffy down comforter that has some meat on its bones; this is the way to go. Once it airs out its actually pretty heavy, just what I was looking for but that might be a deal breaker for some. This is a fantastic comforter and a great gift for loved ones. P.S: Even the cat loves it!

Happy with king size down comforter!

I was very nervous to purchase this online. My previous down comforter I purchased from bed bath and I absolutely loved it. My dog has ruined it and I could not bare to pay the amount again. I read tons of reviews for months & finally narrowed it down. It arrived very quickly in good packaging. I read to lay it out for a few hours and it's beginning to fluff up. It does not have a smell like some reviews mentioned. I think I'm going to be happy with this purchase. I ordered a kind size. It fits my bed perfectly. It is soft also. Update on first night! Kept me warm and very cozy! The dog slept like a baby also! I've never seen her sleep so cozy! I changed sheets to linen sheets

Can't wait to go to bed every night now!

This comforter has really made it difficult to get out of bed in the morning. When I first got it, I was absolutely certain I would hate it and I even put into motion the return process. It felt rough on my hands when I expected it to be very soft. But my husband and I couldn't return it till the next day so we decided to try in out for the night. After "sleeping on it" the cotton seemed to break in and it grew noticeably softer after a couple days. Now I can't wait to go to bed at night and sleep in my lovely cloud. We live in San Diego and even at the height of this seemingly never ending summer we are able to use this blanket. However, we do leave the air conditioning running and keep the house between 70 and 80 degrees. I'm sure that I will be able to use this blanket all year, and even when I want to relax I enjoy simply laying on top of it. Make sure you let it fluff up out of the package as it was vacuum sealed for shipping. It does fluff up nice and thick. Also, I haven't seen any feathers flying around so it must be a good quality. We originally purchased the Buffy Comforter, but I would always wake up stifling hot because it's polyester. So we returned that and figured we should try REAL down and cotton. It really does breathe much better! I couldn't be happier with our purchase and I highly recommend this comforter. I hope if you buy it you won't be discouraged if it doesn't feel super soft at first touch, trust me, it will in a couple days. Sweet Dreams!

I get cold easily and like to be warm

I've never had a real down comforter, but this one is for real! It's so soft, so warm, and just so luxurious feeling, it's worth every cent of the outrageous cost. I get cold easily and like to be warm, really warm. This thing is relatively light, but extremely warm (never too much though, just perfectly comfortable). It fluffs right back up again every time too. I didn't know if I should be spending so much on a comforter, but it truly is worth the money. This is an outstanding product.

High Quality/Great Price

When my local dry cleaner lost my down comforter (it remains a mystery as to what exactly happened to it), I was forced to start the laborious process of replacing it. Something I was dreading. Fill Power, feather to actual down ratio... The terms used to describe down products can be baffling. But after some research I learned that a fill power of over 600 and over 20oz means it'll be warm. (I believe this fill power is 750 and 50oz). In complaining to a friend about the outrageous expense and lack of quality of comforters from brick and mortar stores, she recommended I try Amazon. And I found this one. Very reasonably priced and with a high thread count. Leaking down and feathers can be so annoying. A high thread count was important to me. And although I haven't checked the label, one other reviewer here claims it's 100% down. Which is great. Anyway, it's warmer than I could have hoped for (I like to be really warm when I sleep), and better made than any of my previous down comforters. The only thing people might not like is that the fabric makes mild "crackling" sounds when one moves. I don't know if that's due to the super high thread count or the way the cotton was processed. This fact doesn't bother me. Just be sure to use a cover to help keep it clean. I'm extremely pleased with this comforter. The manufacturers even include a nice bag to store it in should one want to not use it in warm weather. I highly recommend this product.

This blanket will ruin your relationships!

I bought this for my GF, and now we never talk. We used to talk all the time. She was too cold with her existing blanket. We talked about things like the weather, and how she's freezing to death. I bought her this blanket so we could talk about something else. Now, every time I call, she says she's busy. Sleeping. Reveling in bed wrapped in the cozy warmth of her amazing new blanket. I think I've been replaced. I used to think I could earn side money being a warm cuddling buddy. This "goose down" technology has ruined that too. (okay, seriously though, it's a pretty awesome blanket at a decent price. definitely recommend it!)

It’s a comforter ... use your brains when it comes to expectations please.

I spent hours going through each and every review before purchasing this product. I must say it is exactly as expected. It is on the heavier side (which is what I like) and the material is excellent! I have not and do not plan on washing this or any other comforter, I dry clean only no matter what the label says. It does fluff up nicely (I’m not sure what ppl are expecting when they use the term fluff... it’s a down comforter not a terry cloth robe), after 2 days or so. I did put it in the dryer with a couple of dryer sheets and the scent (you know, from vacuum packaging) was gone in 3-4 days. Overall this is an excellent product and I will be purchasing another color from this company

GREAT GOOSE DOWN

I absolutely LOVE this Comforter, it is perfect!! I live in Wyoming and it is heavy enough to keep me warm in the winter, but it is great for summer!! And it was great no feathers coming out!! I looked and looked for the best price Goose Down, and I went with this one because of the reviews and I can honestly say they were right!! My sister spent $800 on her's and she even said it was just as nice....she was so jealous!!! That never happens, thanks!!
