I needed a black dress shoe for my son for a school concert. I didn't think he'd get much use of them beyond that so I didn't want to spend a lot of money. I had already been to the usual big brand stores around town looking for a cheap pair, but they either didn't have his size or didn't have the style/color. I needed them fast too. So I thought I would try Amazon. These fit the bill perfectly. They were priced right (around $20). And they offer free returns on shoes so if they don't work out for you, you can send them back without having to pay for return shipping. I'm a Prime member so I don't pay shipping costs. So what did I have to lose? They fit great and my son said they were plenty comfortable. He never complained about them hurting his feet or anything like that. They are inexpensive shoes, so don't expect to win any fashion contests with them, but they are more than acceptable for typical use.
These run a bit big, maybe by about half a size. I got a size 3 for my son and they were just a little big. But it's not a problem at all, he can still walk in them just fine and they'll last a little longer, which is a plus. They look good on him and are perfect for formal occasions.
