Used it for the first time today teaching the wife how to harvest dead fall. Take into account that this is my first folding saw, but for the things that happened I have pro's and con's. Pro's are that when they say durable, they mean it. I got overzealous and attacked a full 6" branch and against their recommendation I was sawing back and forth, it got hung up on a pinch point, must have bent at least 2-3". I just pulled it free, no damage at all, not normal with saws I usually use. It is small enough when folded to fit in the little cargo pocket on my old Carhart pants, you know the ones, the diagonal short ones and I got through the 6" oak in maybe 5 mins. Not a pro or con, just a heads up, like they suggest it really does cut best on the pull stroke. Now for con's, I wish the closed position had a lock or at least a little tension, when you pull it out if you let go just a little, it will open. The pinion screw is a little janky, it was way too loose when it was delivered, I tightened it 1/8th a turn and it was way too tight. As I was sawing I think it even loosened a little, maybe a screw or pin lock to keep it where you like it would be nice. So, the overall? I don't regret the buy one bit, is it the best? Of course not, is it a very durable, perfectly functioning, small enough to pocket and worth it's price? Heck yea it is, I am more than satisfied with the price I paid and the quality I got.

comfortable in close quarters

I bought this saw for clearing invasive plants along streambanks where heavier equipment cannot be used. I recently did that with this saw for the first time, and it worked very well. It is hard to cut plants that are close together with a bigger saw, but this saw allowed me to readily work through clumps of privet and bush honeysuckle with trunks up to 2 inches in diameter. It fits well in the hand and is comfortable to use. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Worked perfect and had a nice straight cut

I dig this little saw.. I ordered one to keep in my camper and I recently used it to cut through a 2x4 and two 2x1 boards. Worked perfect and had a nice straight cut. The cool thing was when I received it, it had a flyer saying to register online and receive a free sheath, which I did, and got it in the mail less than a week later. Having a lifetime warranty is pretty cool too. Great price to boot.

Great gardening tool for medium size branches.

I added this tool to my gardening tool bag for those branches which are too big for my hand tools, but not big enough to get out the SawsAll. While I have only used this on a limited basis, I do really like it. It's small enough to easily have around, but folds out into a perfect size blade. It is very sharp and fits well in my hand.

it's the best folding saw I've used

In my search for a decent bone saw at a reasonable price (for dressing big game and prepping fire wood) I came across EverSaw's offering for $20 and took a chance. Honest opinion, it's the best folding saw I've used. Many makes in this price range are of less than mediocre quality, durability and functionality. I'm not one to boast about products but this one is awesome.

This pruning saw is, by far, the best saw on the market in a reasonable price range. It is easy to use and it looks like it will last forever. The Japanese cut is the only way to go. Buy this saw, you will love it.

Not the best design. UPDATED: A much needed product and wonderful customer service

My husband got me this for Christmas, so I haven't really had a chance to use it much. But the one thing I noticed right away is that the blade will not stay closed if it's hung by the hole on the handle. Since I will only use this to hang it in my shed, I didn't return it right away. I will update my post later in the spring after I have a chance to use it in my garden. Update 03-06: After posting my review above I was contacted by the seller. He explained that the screw on the hinge area of the blade could be adjusted and that should solve my problem. If not, they would GLADLY send me out a new saw. Today was a great sunny day here in the PNW so I headed out to do some yard work and YES, tightening the screw just a small amount solved my problem. (insert DUH moment here:) I also got in a bit of use of the saw and im happy to say that the saw worked great. I'm a lady in my fiftys and i was able to saw through some 2 1/2 to 3" branches easily. Anything larger I will probably need my husbands help, but that's more because of my weak wrists. So with the great customer service,ease of use and the fact that the blade does stay closed :) I'm changing my rating my 5 stars.

Nice saw!

Wow, a pruning saw that works! I have two or three saws like this, and none of them cut well. This little saw sliced through one to two inch limbs in no time. The others take so long to cut through the same size limbs that I stopped trying, resorting to my carpentry hand saw at times. This is easy to use, and lightweight, too. I think it could handle some larger limbs than what I used it for. I do use my lopping shears, but they take two hands. If I'm up on a ladder, I prefer having one hand free. This fits the bill nicely. Sharp, too!

What a saw!!

After looking the company up on line, I decided to order one of their pruning saws. WOW!!! What a saw. It is very well made and unbelievably sharp!!! The saw cuts on the pull stroke instead of the normal push. It cuts through a dead branch like butter. I would order another one of these in a heartbeat if anything happened to this one. Thanks Home Planet Gear for a great product!!!!!

Great hand saw...........

Received this almost the next day, it was quick. It replaces one that either got lost or had legs on it. This is my 2nd one of the same make and model. I didn't get the first one from Amazon but they are the same. It's a great saw and it will not wear you out using it. I was satisfied with the first one so I really don't need to say more... Hk
