handy for a portable washer

I purchased this to use with a portable washer I have. I wanted to be able to use the washer in my bathroom and not have to leave it there. The wheels on this push on carpet very easy. This holds my portable washer that is 50 pounds and is 18 inches by 18 inches and 31 inches high. I like that this has wheel locks and they work great. It is simple to lock and unlock. This does not move when the washer is being used. This is very handy for me to hide my washer and be able to move it when needed.

I brought this dolly to make my life easier when using my portable washing machine. The washing machine is made for people like me that live in an apartment and have limited space, but enjoys the convenience of washing at home. The machine is not meant to be staionary like traditional machines and does come with 2 wheels in the back for moving the washing machine as needed. But one must tilt it and head in a one directional fashion and it can be both daunting and inconvenient. Therefore I wanted something that could be multi direction and easier to move and store my machine. This dolly was the answer. Trust me I am not the do it yourself handy woman at all. I rather pay people to do things. Yet, this dolly was so easy to assemble, even for a person like me. Everything that you needs come conveniently in the box, even the screw driver. The only thing is on the "not so helpful" instruction page it appears that there should be a balancing level included, but it wasn't. If you already have a level you can just use that one, but if you don't like me (remember I am not a very handy person) you can use some diy methods. Personally I just balanced it on the floor and adjusted until it was even. It worked perfectly. Admittedly the instructions included are not good at all. Yet, it is fairly simple to assemble and figure out on your own. Especially those that have some know how. My sister was even impressed that I assembled this on my own. She is usually the person to assemble things for me, she is more handy and has a degree in industrial design. I am so proud that I did not have to use her expertise and assembled it on my own. I leave my machine on it permanently. My machine is about 150 pounds and can move it from the kitchen back to its storage place with total ease. This is across both hardwood flooring and area rugs. I also attached pics of the process while assembling in case you are looking for more clear visuals to accompany or just plain toss out the instructions.

A SERIOUS SOLUTION TO MOVING ONE'S PORTABLE WASHING MACHINE AROUND !!!

I AM THRILLED WITH THIS SPACECARE UNIT! IT IS THE SOLUTION FOR MY CONCERN THAT MY PORTABLE WASHER WOULD ONLY MOVE FORWARD & BACKWARD. This unit made my washer easily & fully mobile. I had the unit already set up & waiting for the delivery team to deliver my GE Portable 3.1 cu ft washer. BOTH men were so impressed w/it, asking WHERE DID YOU BUY THIS? I responded "AMAZON, OF COURSE!. Each deliver person requested the model no. info so that they could p/up as a solution for their own household or a family member's. I am a 60-yr old woman & I assembled the dolly with no issue. It is solid & seamlessly supports my larger, heavy portable washer. I am able to roll the washer into my kitchen to connect to my kitchen faucet for laundry time and roll it out to the storage unit when done. It is a serious solution to this concern. Visually, the dolly is under-stated and is not an eye sore under my washer. I WOULD buy again and have already recommended it twice. Measure carefully for your needs, the unit is moderately flexible for adjustment. I found this dolly is solid &, after weeks of using it, I am assured that I can count on it!

As expected!

I needed this for my mini washing machine which gets moved back and forth from closet to kitchen sink. This is adjustable on all sides, so you can customize it between min-max lengths for different uses. Very good quality product, would recommend.

Perfect Adjustable Dolly

I bought a 4 wheel and this 8 wheel. The only difference is that the 8 wheel version has 2 wheels on each corner. They are slightly thinner than the wheels of the single wheel version (STFD001), but there are two of them on each corner. This is the ONLY difference. And with that, they increase the load rating to 250 lbs vs 200 lbs for the single wheel version. After looking at numerous dollies and not finding the size I wanted, I found these adjustable dollies. I have some plastic bins that nest quite nicely, but become cumbersome to move around the building, so I wanted to get them on wheels. Most everything in my shop is on wheels, to quickly move things around as space requires for various chores. To my surprise, once these were assembled, my bins nested neatly into the corners and rails of this Spacecare dolly and fit perfectly. Couldn't have made them any tighter, so not only do they support the bins which I have nested about 6 ft high, but the rails and corners actually create a ridge that keeps the bins from rolling off. I know these were designed for moving washers and dryers and the like, but I found them to be perfect for my use. The only thing I am concerned about is the tires flattening over time. We will see come this spring how they held up under 250 lbs of continual load (recommended max) I write reviews because I want to help other people make decisions. Perfect for my portable washing machine!

This is just exactly what I needed to cart my portable washing around in between uses. It's the perfect fit, and I love that it has the little gripper pads in each corner to prevent the washing machine from walking, plus the locking wheels. I live in an upper-floor apartment, and before I bought it, I was thinking I would have to move the washer off of the platform to prevent vibration and walking. But it doesn't budge, and it doesn't cause any extra noise at all. I'm very happy with this product, and I would buy it again. I have noted that some commenters have said it's not sturdy, but I suppose it depends on what you're using it for. For portable washing machines (which are not very heavy), it's just right!

This things a lifesaver!

This makes moving my portable washer around the kitchen much more effortless since the built in wheels on the washer are pretty much useles. The manufacture even went as far as including a screwdriver and tape measure so you can make sure you adjust the dolly’s telescoping rods to match the proper size. Didn’t see the need to use the included adhesive foam padding. The dolly doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy and it’s surprisingly very well constructed. The rubber wheels swivel very nicely and it practically glides as long as it’s your typical tile or smooth surface. I believe the unit is rated at a weight capacity of 300 lbs but I wouldn’t want to attempt it. I’m very happy with my purchase! Would highly recommend this product. Pictures in my review is the RCA 2.1 cubic foot portable washer which compliments the unit nicely.

Use your own measuring tape! :)

Well designed with solid castors. Easy to assemble and adjust. Kit even includes a screw driver to mount the castors (standard Phillips head) and a measuring tape (Metric on one side, Imperial on the other) to size the dolly right for whatever you are putting on it. One word of caution, the measuring tape on the Imperial side (inches) is not accurate! :) Each inch measurement on the tape is comprised of ten 8ths of an inch. Pretty funny--just use your own measuring tape, US buyers!

Using for a washing machine

Easy to assemble, and they even provide u with the screw driver and measuring tape. Arrived quickly, on time with appropriate packaging. I'm using mine to support a haier portable washer and the measurements are perfect. The wheels, swivel and locking mechanism is sturdy and well made. The wheels roll quietly and smoothly across my wood floors. All four wheels lock and swivel. Durable enough to stay strong through the wash and spin cycle of my machine. Not a single problem with this dolly. P.S. I ordered a Zao Home appliance dolly from amazon and returned it immediately. This SPACECARE one is for keeps.
