Work great, but do NOT overheat them in the microwave, of they will MELT!
I have a fridge with a moisture problem....bad seal. I initially bought 3 of these, and they made a huge difference. I used to have pooling of water at the bottom of my fridge from water running down side, and now totally dry. I now have 6 of these in my fridge because I recently bought 3 more. I believe these do have a shelf life of about a year or so...they will start to get a bitter smell after a while, despite how many times you dry them out. I always knew I needed to microwave them when I'd open the fridge and get a whiff of it, so I guess it wasn't all a bad thing, as far as giving me a signal they were moist, other than the pink color (which stops working after many uses). WHATEVER YOU DO, do NOT OVER-MIRCOWAVE these things! They will melt, and you'll have pellets all over the place. I learned the hard way initially. I do THREE bags at a time for 4 minutes on each side, 8 minutes max and then let them dry out by for any remaining moisture. At first, I had put 1 bag in there for 5 minutes and it almost caught on fire, so take caution!! The 3 I do all at once really do steam up the microwave, so prepare to wipe the door and sides down between each session. These do work...trust me! It is a bit of a pain microwaving them every week or so, but worth it.

No wonder some people burn it...
I give it five stars for now: Just received my order of this product. First thing i notice is that the instructions say 4 minutes in a microwave to dry it out. On the outside (back) of the box. No mention of 600W. No wonder some people experience burning. They need to update package..

Works great for guitar cases
I have used several sizes and brands of reusable desiccant packs and these are the best that I have tried. The relative humidity in the Southeastern US can be really high at times and it can be difficult and time consuming to monitor and keep desiccant packs microwaved and usable. These are a dream. One pack per case in the headstock area of the case keeps the average relative humidity at around 45% in my cases. They have a clear and easy to read, color coded indicator on the front side so you can tell when its time to microwave them again. Hint...make sure you know how many watts your microwave is. Then follow their instructions CAREFULLY for the appropriate number of minutes for your microwave's wattage output. I recommend going below their number of minutes for the first time until you get to know how many minutes will work for you. This is important or you may burn up your desiccant pack as some have done. It is also helpful if you weigh each one NEW as soon as you open the plastic package. The total weight of each one of mine averaged around 155 grams when new and dry. As they take on moisture you will see the weight rise.

Heavy duty boot strings
I have always used these bootstrings for nearly all my life. They work well and seldom wear out. My old strings started looking a little worn so I bought two more pain. I wouldn't use these is they were not so durable. I even rub beeswax into them prior to lacing to maintain them when I am in a damp area.

Works and is easily reusable.
They work, and the fact that they are reusable without needing to run a small heating element 24/7 or constantly buy new Silica Gel replacements is great. I find they work the best and last longest between needing to be "recharged", when used in a sealed container, rather than something like a closet or a lockbox without any weather stripping.

Cost effective!
Works like it should. Verified by checking humidity in a safe vs ambient air. When “full” you simply bake it and it’s new again. Way cheaper than the disposable type.

Five Stars
It just works well. Purchased for a safe that was damp. This fixed the problem.

Important addition for every safe
Keep the things in your safe safe from mold with this. Unlike Silica Gel you can tell when this is saturated with water, and a simple microwave will heat the water out. Works great so far.
