• Use the precise setting you wish to strip from 22-8 AWG wires with ease
  • Made with cast alloy chassis
  • Convenient recoiling spring design and tension loaded wire grip
  • Stripping holes are machined precisely to remove insulation without damage
  • Fast compound wire stripping action

I have experienced a few wire strippers which provided better guides (so the wires end up gripped firmly). However that's a very minor gripe because the upmarket solutions were much more expensive. I recently rewired an all-electric house using this tool - overall, no complaints or issues. Upon inspection the quality of the strip was excellent with no damage to the core(s). This applied to everything from 4 amp, non-flex single wire up to 32 amps multi-core. The design could be improved upon by having a guide on the gripper side of the tools. The tool appears robust and has proven a good fit for general electrical work.

I have a very old stripper that functions just like this unit, which I inherited from my father... I have been looking for a new one for a couple of years as the old one is rusting and getting dull from 50+ years of use. Hopefully this one will serve me as well and then my son if he wants it later on.

A heavy built tool. I appreciate that. They made em like that long ago. Old guy like me was weirded out by the stop gauge, but once I got used to it, I really liked it. Well made, work well, glad I purchased.

I bought this because it's similar to the product I use on aircraft electrical systems so I'm familiar with the mechanics of it. This tool is used as a wire insulation stripper. It also caters for a wide variety of wire gauge types so it goes from 10-22 awg . I used it on my motorbike to repair an electrical fault with the wiring system between the stator and reg/rectifier. It's a simple and easy to use tool. If you don't have the same knowledge as me, then practice on a spare piece of leftover wire before using it on the wire intended as it will help you determine the correct setting. I'm happy with the tool as it produces a consistent result and far safer than using a Stanley knife. A reasonably price for the tool.

Works well on aircraft wiring down 22guage wire, does not work on Shielded 22 guage wire. The price is outstanding and they arrived quick. My other wire strippers went out for calibration and these filled in for the most part. The cutting blades can be changed out for aircraft wire with teflon insulation. Those blades can be up there in price. Would recommend for aircraft or home use on cars, boats, trucks, SUV's ect............

I've been hunting for Klein Katapults for awhile now as I've used them for 8 years now and I absolutely love them! I'm an automotive mechanic specializing in electrical diagnostic and repair and these are absolutely indispensable. You can perfectly strip even short lengths of wire regardless of insulation thickness or condition and they just work every time. I love these things so much!

Absolutely useful product. I used to lose about an inch of wire before successful stripping the wire with a plier. This stripper removes the plastic insulation very smoothly. Check to see the range of gauges it can strip.

This item is a must if you do any auto or home electrical. Saves so much time if you are doing car audio...strips a wire to perfect length in under a second. No need for manual strippers and pliers.....i have 2 pairs of these, one for at home and one for our cabin.....get this and never look back!!

I had one of these that I lost years ago. They work well and I am glad I found this item to buy. I justwish the gripper portion was wider to use at an angle. Sometimes it misses gripping unless you can get the wire straight on.

Fun product to use. I even took the step to order, directly from Capri, an additional set of cutters so I could use this product to strip 24 and 26 gauge wires. Using the Allen wrench that originally came with the Capri strippers, removing the original 16 to 22 AWG stripper blades and installation of the 18-26 AWG Blades involved removing two Allen screws and holding plate, removing the 16-22 AWG blades, installing the 18 to 26 AWG blades, and reinstalling the holding plate and Allen screws. People at Capri, in Pamona, CA, were pleasant to work with.
