Easy to use and sturdy
I used it for acrylic drawing and it works ok! It is sturdy and when it drys out it doesn't mess up your work.

Hold up well to liquid and acrylics
I have used these a lot for my smaller work. I work with watered down acrylics and I pour TONS of paint onto my canvasses and work with multiple layers upon layers. I was afraid these wouldn't hold up to the way I paint but they really did. There is a bit of curling upon drying but that can easily be fixed by laying them under some books for a bit or framing them as I've done. I'd highly recommend these for both finished work that you plan on framing and practice/planning exercises.

Great
This was sent as a gift along with a painting kit, so I have not actually seen the product. I have used this kind of paper myself however and for a person who is learning to paint with either oil or acrylic, or just for painting without bothering with a stretched, gessoed, canvas, this kind of paper is great.

Held up to sitting water
Worked really well. I used acrylic and even blasted some water for effect, nothing bleed through and piece dried really well... Like I let puddles of water sit flat on it. No issues. Good beginner pad for my first piece!

Nice quality paper - Love for making cards
I love painting on this Canson paper! It's 9x12, and I use it folded in half to make a card. It makes a sturdy, 6x9 card. (It could certainly be framed by the recipient, but 6x9 is not a standard size, so you could always cut 1" off the long side before you fold/paint it, to make 6x8). What I do is tape them onto the back of an 11x14 canvas board to stable them for painting. And I can use my easel then, too. I drew a blue line on the fish painting to represent where I place the artists tape, right along the fold seam, so you can paint a nice clean edge, and it keeps the back of the card clean during painting, unless you are just super wild with your brush strokes! 😂 They make such nice cards. I love giving these out to my friends. Oh, and it varnishes nice, too. Looks really beautiful varnished. PS, I'm using acrylic, with very little water. If you add lots of water to your acrylic, these will warp, they are paper after all. But as you can see in the photo, no problem with them drying nice and flat in acrylic with little water.

Basically canvas in paper form
It's very thick and sturdy. One side is slightly less rigged, deppending on how you like to paint. I put down gesso before painting and that makes things run smoother. I use acrylic, so I don't know how oils lay out. I tape the paper to a board, but ocassionally the paper warps a little of I use excessive water. I prefer this paper to canvas as it feels better, doesn't flex under the brush. More control. Cheaper too.

Practice away..
This is exactly what I needed to practice my painting before I actually painted on a canvas. Acrylic paint does not bleed through to the other side. Very satisfied with this product!

its great for quick studies and if needed projects
its great for quick studies and if needed projects! Just used some!! Textured and holds paint well! For those complaining about crinkle, your not supposed to water down acrylic paint you need to dilute it will special thinners, and yes it will crinkle as its paper, water color does the same. to fix the issue take it down to hard surface and it should be pretty flat when its dry and completed!!! Great brand I always love their stuff, its cost effective and good quality!
