... using rustoleum chalk paint & must say I've very pleased how my project looks after a few coats
First time using rustoleum chalk paint & must say I've very pleased how my project looks after a few coats. Inexpensively transformed a few pieces of furniture. I also used the rustoleum matte clear coat when finished.

I stained my brick fireplace!
This paint works marvelously for staining interior brick! I researched for a long time and looked at many project reports for staining a raw brick fireplace. Finally I committed to this chalk paint and my fireplace looks better than any I have seen elsewhere. I diluted it to a half paint : half water ratio, applied one coat with a brush and worked it into holes and crevices with a sponge. Very easy to do, if surroundings are appropriately protected from the very thin splashy paint.

Great Chalk Paint!
When this arrived in the mail, it was leaking a little in the box. It was also shipped with another Amazon item that paint got all over. Thankfully the other item was wrapped in plastic, so it wasn't damaged. This is just something to keep in mind when ordering. Perhaps order your paint by itself to reduce chances of it getting shipped in the same box as other things. That does not effect my opinion of how the product actually works though, so on to that. This is my first time using chalk paint, so I have no idea if there are little nuances to be looking for in a quality product. I just know this worked wonderful for my purposes. I updated a rather large coffee table with this paint, and used about half the can for it. I did some sanding before hand, but that was mostly because my piece of furniture had some gouges and marks in it to get rid of. The paint adhered well both in places I had done heavier sanding, and in places where I did little to no sanding. I have included before and after photos. It took me two good coats of paint, and the third was just touching up. I expected that with painting white over something darker. If you're distressing, I highly recommend having a vacuum or shopvac on hand to clean up the dust. Because sanding off chalk paint makes an unholy mess! It's so much easier to suck up the dust and then wipe it down with paper towels to get the rest off. And if you're curious, here was my process for my coffee table.... Removed door, and removed hinges and handle from door Sanding--remove scratches and gouges in wood, heavily sanded top to take stain. Applied painter's tape around edges to keep paint away from where I would be staining Applied several coats of "mocha" colored stain to top of table (purchased at Home Depot) Applied two coats white chalk paint to rest of table and door, plus a third touch up coat In the meantime, I applied pretty window cling film on the underside of the glass pieces to dress them up a bit (can be bought in rolls off Amazon) I messed around with the door handle with a few different treatments...it was more of an accident that it actually looks good haha. Once everything was dry, I sanded by hand around the edges and corners to rough it up and add age (suuuuper messy-get a shopvac to help clean that up!) I debated rubbing some stain on where I had roughed it up, but decided I liked the original finish of the wood that was peeking through. I finished everything off by wiping any remaining dust from sanding off with paper towels and a good coat of spray polyurethane (purchased at Home Depot) Happy refinishing! Love this product and will order again!

Restore umbrella chalk paint is awesome!! Great price
Restoleum chalk paint is awesome!! Great price! Great product! Great quality! This is definitely my new "go to" paint!! It had totally replaced those over priced products for sure!! I posted a few pics of items I painted using one 30oz can . Just to get an idea of how far it goes. Each piece has 2 coats of paint.

Really beautiful chalk paint
Really beautiful chalk paint. I painted a dark dresser and used two coats. Highly recommend this brand and the price is reasonable. Will definitely use rust-oleum again.

Great Chalk Paint at a Low Price
I was looking for a nice gray chalk paint to paint over the laminate IKEA doors in my living room. I have used chalk paint in the past and this works just a as good as other store brands but much cheaper. I will purchase this brand of chalk paint going forward. Note that there is a strong fume to this paint but it goes away quickly.

Making my life so much easier
I just moved and have been refinishing a lot of furniture to match my new design. This paint has been amazing. Only has required a little elbow grease (just washing furniture clean and a light sanding) and it's ready to paint and finish! So much easier than before requiring endless sanding and preparation. I did this large dresser with just half a can of this paint and it turned out great. Highly recommend

Great Paint
I usually use Annie Sloan, and this laint in my opinion is just as good! I'll be ordering more colors!

This paint goes on easily and is even easier to distress
This paint goes on easily and is even easier to distress. Dries very matte and fast, like most chalk paints. It is, however, cheaper at Home Depot, especially with a military discount.

Love this true white for the farmhouse look
Love this paint, and love the color. It is definitely a true white, as others have mentioned. As with all painting projects, you'll want to make sure that you're not painting in 20 degree weather -- we picked a particularly cold weekend for this project and it definitely took 3 coats even with heavy sanding. I do like to use the spray as a top coat of paint before you seal it - gives a really nice smooth finish. Would definitely order this paint again from Amazon - it came with special clamps on the top to ensure that the paint would not bust open in transit.
