Great Car Mount for Phone

I had been searching for a product to use in my car for a while. Before getting the Mpow Car Mount, I would have to hold my phone in my hand to talk or for navigation which wasn't very safe. Not only is the mount easy to put on, I find myself to me most reassured that it will not mess up my dashboard as you can see in other car mounts available on Amazon. Furthermore the curve neck help stabilize your phone and I'm excited that I can use the mount for my iPhone 5S, my significant other can use it as a replacement for his GPS, and my mom can use it for her IPhone 6S due to the ability to extend the holding piece to fit the device you are using. Furthermore, you can turn it towards you, away from you, tilt it and whatever you need to do to make it accessible and easy to use. And with the clip for the suction, I can move it from the middle to the side with one movement. Other mounts just keep falling off. Overall I am happy with my purchase and will be recommending it to others.

Works just fine once you have it seated on glass and dash properly....

Working just fine in a 2016 Jeep Cherokee, wish it were about 12" long rather than 8" so that the phone was off the edge of the dash but stays put and hold phone at whatever angle you need. Depending on how far you have the arm bent so the phone will clear the dash when you turn it etc. If it hung over the edge out in the air it would not be a problem at all. Just make sure before you stick it to the windshield that glass and suction cup are clean and that the weight of the unit and phone are supported by the little support that comes with it and not just hanging out in mid air supported only by the glass. Be sure to look at the rubber cup from the outside of the vehicle and press on the cup until you do not see any air gaps between rubber and glass for best stick. Might take a few tries to get full seal, If installed properly, the weight of the phone will actually try to press the suction cup to the glass more and not pull on it as it would without the little support piece.

UPDATE 10/05/17 I have upped this to 5 stars now I would give 10 if I could. I was contacted by the company after posting this, and they said they wanted me to be satisfied 100%. So they asked if they could send me an updated version that COULD be used in landscape mode at no charge (it can!!). And I did not have to return the original. Now that's what you call Customer Service! THREE thumbs up and I have only 2. I like this. It works well to hold your mobile phone, and attaches securely to the windshield with the suction cup. It is especially useful when using a navigation app on your mobile device, which is the primary reason I purchased the unit. It is right-priced, which was a major draw for me. That said, it does suffer from a MAJOR design flaw, in my opinion. Once you place your mobile device in the cradle, (it does hold your device securely) it does not attach securely to the bracket that hangs from the windshield, making it impossible to utilize your mobile device for navigation in landscape position. A shame. I would have given a 5-star rating if it DID. Considerable improvement is needed in this area. Back to the drawing board.

It worked fine until the temperature hit 101° outside then it started melting. As long as it never gets over 100° where you live it should be fine.

Better than expected

Even the packaging was nicer than expected. For the $10 or $15 it cost, I expected cheap plastic and clunky operation. Instead I found a well made accessory that exceeded every expectation. The area for the phone has an opening for the charging cable. There is foam padding on the back and the sides that squeeze together to hold the phone securely. The button to release opens the side arms smoothly and stops when you release. There are no sudden popping or clicking actions and it feels like it was designed and engineered with some care. Totally unexpected at this price point. My only complaint is the amount of wobble as I drive but the included stabilizer clip doesn’t work with the specific layout of my dash. I realize it’s impossible to keep a 10” arm that the phone is at the end of completely immobile from the windshield mount. So I’m not holding that against it. The suction cup mechanism is even nice with a silicon like material instead of a cheap poly cup. It has stayed securely affixed despite bumpy roads and a phone torquing on it with some leverage.

Best accessory purchase yet

I do a lot of driving and have just moved to a new city, which means I'm using Waze for just about every drive. This puts the phone near my line of sight while not obstructing my view of traffic, making following turn-by-turn directions easier and, most importantly, safer. The holder is easy to use, the auction cup is powerful, and the included clip that helps stop vibration is well designed, sturdy, and does its job. The cell phone holder itself holds my phone securely while making it easy to put my phone in and take it out. I have an iPhone 7 plus with a slim Otterbox and it fits my phone with room to spare. I was worried my phone would be too heavy and the arm and adjustable swivel wouldn't be strong enough to hold my phone in position, but I was dead wrong on both counts. Together the arm and swivel allowed me to get my phone into the perfect position on the first try and held it there without any issue. Highly recommended, very impressed, would buy again.

Best phone holder bar none!!!!!

This is the third phone holder I have purchased from Amazon and without a doubt it is the best one so far bar none!!!!! It stays tight to my truck windshield and was very easy to put on. The first day I used it which was yesterday 8/26/17 the only thing I had not used yet was the small support bracket they gave to keep the phone from bouncing up and down. But the phone didn't actually bounce too much so when I came home I decided I wanted to keep the phone holder in that same spot so I adherred the small bracket to my dash and pushed the arm into position and this morning it was perfect as I drove off. I highly reccomend this bracket to anyone. I placed mine clear to the left side and down low on my windshield as I did not want to obstruct my view out the windshield. Plus I don't have to turn my head to view the phone screen I just move my eyes slighly to the left. I do not text and drive and rarely if ever do I talk on my phone while driving, but I do use my Verizon Navigation and this spot is the perfect place. I don't think anyone would be disappointed with this holder.

Updated review!: Suction Hold No Longer Works After only 5 Months

Update: 11/28/2017 - Without requesting one, I got a replacement of this cell holder. That alone impressed me that it is important to this company that they make it right. There seems to have been improvements made to this model. The suction seems much stronger and the holder itself much sturdier! I'm pretty tickled that this company went out of their way to send a replacement when seeing I was dissatisfied with my original order! That says a lot. I am very happy with this new holder and this improved design! Much happier camper now! I recommend giving it a try! When I first got this it worked great! I was so happy with it but now in the last couple of weeks, no matter where I place it, the suction cup no longer holds and will keep falling off. I will put it back up, leave the car and when I come back, the holder is on the floor of my car or it falls off while I'm driving. So the first 5 months it was good but now I have to shop for a much sturdier replacement.
