Great product, can take with for camping and ready made meals for the day without electricity.

Excellent pot for picnics. Keeps food hot for when everyone's ready to eat when we are at the beach.

My mom had something like this and I loved it. Put a clean chicken in it, add water and whatever else, boil for ten minutes and drop in outer pot. Next morning- you can have chicken stew for breakfast with the meat falling off the bone, and the bone practically falling apart. Amazing. So time saving and energy saving and healthy. The only thing is: I found 5L to be a bit small to stew a free range stew chicken in. I had to crack some bones shoving it in and it just barely fit. After it cooked down, it was fine but the 7L would have been better for me I think.

I always wanted a thermal cooker but I can't see myself spend easily $200 for a Tiger thermal cooker. I bought this for $39.99 and it is now one of my favorite kitchen appliances. I make all kind of soup, and it always cooks perfectly. Just need to bring it to a boil, and chicken will be juicy and tender after 2-3 hours. The 5L size is just nice, not too big and not too small. I am very happy with my purchase! On a side note, I think this unit looks very similar to the Saratoga Jacks 7L thermal cooker, which has superb reviews in Amazon...

I got this for my motorhome so I could save energy during cooking. I've made two meals in it and I'm thoroughly pleased with the purchase and the product. I added frozen chicken, uncooked rice and other ingredients, boiled for 20 minutes and placed the inner pot inside the insulated outer container and left it sit for 4 hours. It was still too hot to eat after opening it. It does exactly what you want it to do and is perfect for camping or rv'ing. Love it.

I've only used this cooker once but my meal was perfect. and the whole process was so easy. I can't wait to use it for other things. well worth my money. nothing overcooks. that happens a lot in a crock pot. plus no worries because it's not plugged in all day. I made a beef stew. the meat was so tender and all the vegetables were fully cooked and yet not at all mushy. still crispy and fresh. I left it in the thermal pot for ten hours ad it was still warm when we sat down to dinner. everyone raved!!

Compare with other vacuum cooker, Tayama does its good job and with a very attractive price! Highly recommend.

I love my thermal cooker! I’m new to thermal cooking, but it’s a learning experience. Try, try, try! My Tayama cooker is very similar to the Saratoga Jack. The inner pot has the thick bottom, cooks great! I do treat my cooker with TLC, I don’t want to damage or break the insulated seal. The price I paid was very reasonable, much less than the Saratoga Jack cooker; but the Saratoga Jack is insulated with styrofoam (I think). I also purchased the book “Let’s make sense of thermal cooking” by a Cindy Miller. Great book and lots of thermal cooking info. I definitely recommend this cooker, the quality is great!

This thermal cooker is wonderful. It is vacuum insulated which is unheard of in this price range. I have used it twice. Once to make Braised Chicken and once to cook garbanzo beans. The chicken was amazing. The garbanzo beans were soft, held their shape and no lost and floating skins. This beats every other method I have tried, bar none. Soaked then boiled 10 minutes then 8 hours in the outer pot. The label seems to be a common complaint. It is EASY to remove-- if you heat it with a hair dryer on high heat and gently peel the label and keep the heat moving as you peel. Absolutely no residual adhesive. No extra cleaning needed. Make no mistake this is a large unit, dividing it with a separate pot to make curry and rice is an option I want to explore.

I tested this product with a stew and it turned out beautifully! It holds more than it looks because it doesn't have all the bulk and weight of a slow cooker. Be sure to buy the capacity that works most for you because you want it 80% full to work best. I had been taking my slow cooker to potlucks, with an insulated carrier, but my soups would slosh all over the inside of the carrier and the weight was a bit much. The thermal cooker seals nicely and weighs much less. It also keeps things warm forever! Even if I'm not cooking in it, I'll put cooked food inside to keep warm. Very pleased with this product!
