good for aquarium glass
I used this to drill through aquarium glass (up to 1/4 inch). I drilled a few holes and had zero issues with it. The bit was balanced and drilled nicely at lower speeds. I could continue using it for years. There was no noticeable wear after drilling a few holes.

Keep it wet!
Keep it wet and use a plywood guide....use it gently...should last a while. I use a grout sponge, and flood it. Thing is, heat will destroy this cutter, so I use a good amount of water. Cheers!

worked great
Used this to cut two holes in tile for bath and shower. It worked like a charm with plenty of water. The guide may have helped, but I just used my grinder to initiate the correct placement.

Definitely worth the price.
This hole saw works great. Definitely use it wet and with a battery powered drill. You don't need a center pilot, just ease it into what you're drilling while going full speed.
Pretty Swag
nice and easy
had to drill a hole in my aquarium. this bit did the trick... nice and easy.

Good for glass
Works great I was about to pay triple the price at my local home store. Glad I didn't. After some practice I was able to cut a fairly clean hole in a piece of thin glass.

Drills holes in glass...
Worked as advertised... Not sure how long it would continue to work in repetitive drilling but 4 holes later it still cuts just fine.

Just took a couple of minutes (literally about 120 seconds) ...
Just took a couple of minutes (literally about 120 seconds) to grind each hole through 3/16" aquarium glass. I used a ring of modeling clay to create a water bath for the hole saw, and stuck a piece of tape on the glass behind my cut to reduce breakout on the reverse-side . I started my cut on very low speed, at a low angle, then flattened out my approach when the saw bit in and stopped wandering. I did 4 holes with no appreciable diminution of cutting power. Didn't break any glass either. I expect to be able to get maybe another 10 holes out of this saw.

Easy Drilling, IF you use water
Works fine if you make sure to flood with water. A dam around the hole works, or just a stream of water. You see, diamond is the hardest abrasive there is (or close to it), BUT diamond is carbon. It burns! So you have to keep it cool, including the micro-edge you cannot see but does the work. SO if you keep plenty of water flooding the cutting edge, that's good. Another mini-technique is to periodically pull out the hole saw and wash out the cut with water. This clears the fine powder out of the cut and allows further water a much clearer way to wash out debris. *I used this to cut through what I thought was a brick facade on my home. So I set up a sprayer with water and set the nozzle to "stream." It was one of those gallon+ sprayers with the top hand pump and hose with nozzle. I periodically sprayed water into the cut. A dollar spray bottle from a dollar store would work, just set the nozzle to stream. In a pinch, you could just use a cup of water and drench it, just more messy. Periodically I pulled out the cutter and washed out the cut, in brick in this case. As I said, I thought the brick was facade, fake brick. And that would be no more than 1/2 inch thick. As I drilled, I got in 3/4 inch, and I realized this house was covered with real bricks! I had a minor "uh oh" moment. The only difference was I had to use a chisel to break out the brick core, as the drill is fairly shallow. This is not difficult - a srewdriver would work. And it drilled easily through the entire brick and mortar. TAKE AWAY POINT The drill, if you use water, drills as easily as a kitchen knife through melon. That's what was so uncanny -its ability to easily slice through brick and mortar. This was effortless, you don't have to push very hard!

Delivered overnight with Prime! Unlike others I’ve tried in the past, this one worked like a charm and still looks brand new. Just make sure to use plenty of water while in use so it cuts smooth & cool. Would highly recommend!
