Easy peasy lemon squeezy
It took me less than 15 minutes to set up and register the device online w/ Comcast. Power it up, plug in the Ethernet cable that comes with it, wait for the lights to go solid green. Then log on to the Comcast website in the book w/ your account and phone number. Push the register button and your done. It only works for Internet and Wifi. If you have the Triple Play w/ phone it will not handle the phone. It works great and it's saving me $10 a month in equipment rental fees. It'll pay for itself in 1.5 years. Every dollar I don't have to give to greedy Comcast is a great thing.

Infant son tested, dad approved!
My son loves anything that blinks. He LOVES this modem, and has tried everything he can to drag it with him around the house. While I might have had to replace a wall jack or two that he's ripped out, no matter how many times he knocks this modem over, it keeps on ticking. Added bonuses - not paying the cable company for modem rental; there's no power button that your child can naively turn off; both 2g and 5g connections; a very simple and easy to understand app which allows you to change nearly ever setting possible.

Great Modem Router for Comcast Customers
Very happy with this purchase! I'm in a cost-cutting/money saving process and recently cut out cable to go with just internet service and a couple of streaming options (saved well over $100/month in the process!). Part of that was getting rid of an $11/month rental fee for the modem. This was very easy to install, however there are a couple of things you should know: 1 - you have to activate your modem/router before you can set up your network info (in the instructions they have this backwards) 2 - I had an issue where I couldn't get the network to show up on my list of available networks, even after Comcast had provisioned the modem. Turns out that the WiFi button on the side of the modem had been turned off, so even though the network was active it wasn't broadcasting. Hold down the button for 3-4 seconds and suddenly everything worked great. I wish they would have mentioned that in the instruction manual and I could have saved myself 10 minutes on the phone with Comcast. Otherwise it's a great product that I highly recommend!

TWO of NETGEAR's BEST PICKS of the HOUSE
Love it... Actually quite a few features that you don't see on this type of operating system. Youy have to read what the features are. Great MANAGEMRNT tools. TO ADD to this Device: I like this Modem-Router so much I bought the N600 WiFi Ranger Extender for my whole house upstairs and down stairs. Great coverage for all devices and TV's. Lots of cool features (4 ports to connect wired devices to WIFI) on the Ranger EXTENDER which is model N0. WN2500RP /// BOTH of these two devices you will own for the next 8 years.

I purchase this to replace my Xfinity rental modem/router. ...
I purchase this to replace my Xfinity rental modem/router. It took a call to Xfinity to get it to properly communicate with their internet. After the initial set-up, it's been trouble-free. We run 4 TV's, 3 iPhones, 2 iMacs & Ring doorbell off of it with no issues. It is located in our lower level basement, we can get reception to watch Netflix outside on our patio.

Solid wifi modem/router at a good price
I really dislike the fact that Amazon bundles all the reviews for Netgear routers together. Really annoying. That being said, this is for the C6250-100NAS AC1600. I've only had it for a couple of days but it was MUCH easier to set up than the Arris that I'll be returning. The Arris claimed to be dual band but the bands weren't concurrent so 5g would run some of my devices while others requires 2.4. This router is great so far. Got all my devices connected quickly and easily.

Excellent modem/router!
I bought this to avoid renting a modem from Mediacom cable company. i rented a modem from Frontier for several years. The modem that Frontier provided was constantly losing the signal and needing rebooting. The Netgear modem provides a strong consistent signal. It was shipped on time. Very happy with my purchase.

Good to go, super strong 5G and better range than my older netgear router.
Easy set-up I have comcast and they were able to add it quickly. Just for future pointers the Model AC1600 wasn't working I had to give them the smaller model number that was available on the box R6250-100NAS. Comcast upped my speed to 150Mbps I pay for 100Mbps and my older router (Netgear N600) wasn't able to pick up the speed once they upgraded. Now on my 5g devices I average about 190Mbps range and the signal is the same no matter where in my house I am. The 2G isn't as strong but that's going to be the same with most routers. I got a $30 off coupon on the page when I was looking at this but I don't know what makes that appear, but you can find this in the $90-$100 range at other stores.

The best choice for us!
We live in a rural area with limited high speed Internet options. After suffering for months with our phone company's dismal DSL service: maybe 2.5 Mbps download speed, and CONSTANT service drops during the day, we took a chance with our cable TV provider. We have had the same Cable TV company for over 9 years, with no signal problems and so, felt that it was the best option. At the time, Cable was offering up to 100 Mbps, up from their previously advertised service of 60 Mbps. We are not heavy online users, but do have 2 cellphones, 2 tablets, a wireless laptop and a cabled desktop, and it's just two of us in the house. I researched cable modem/routers and decided on this unit for its dual-band gigabit capability, its wireless signal strength and the fact that it was stated to be compatible with our cable service provider. Well, true to form Netgear delivered on all counts!. When I was a Network ADM, I always chose Netgear switches for their ease of integration, 5 minutes or less from in the box to in service. Same with this modem/router. I had it all set up for the Cable installer, so when he came he just had to check the signal strength and then provision it with the main office and we were up and running. The BEST part is that now I routinely run speed tests and get 114Mbps download speeds. The unit has been in place over a week and no issues or problems as yet. We have a 3600 SF house and the range is excellent. Thank you Netgear, for hitting this one out of the park for us!

Highly Recommend this Netgear AC1600! Super Easy Comcast set up on my laptop without Calling Comcast.
Cannot believe how simple the Netgear modem/router was to set up! Just follow the easy Netgear set up booklet. The Comcast internet activation screen popped up when I hooked up the Netgear yellow ethernet cable into my laptop. Have your Comcast/Xfinity account number and the phone number you use for service and it took maybe 5 minutes to automatically connect the Netgear to our Comcast account. I have horror stories of calling Comcast to give them the MAC address with previous modems.
