Bought this because didn't want to spend the $$ on Thule etc... Installation was fast and instructions were good. Next day headed up to the slopes without an issue and skis did not move. Parked beside all the name brand racks and was almost no different. Only advice is gently pull down on top bar with hand while using thumb to unlatching. Do the same thing when latching, I push the latch open while closing the top bar and gently pull down and release latch. This way you don't beat up the latch assembly. Key lock has worked flawless without issues.

I wanted to wait awhile before I posted a review on these but my oh my are the phenomenal! Took them from Colorado to Canada and back without a single problem, amongst another 40-50 trips up and down the hill. I have to clean them every so often, but just like any other product, take care of them and they'll take care of you. Do not leave your skis or board in them though or you'll have rusty edges!

I quite like this ski rack - it is relatively inexpensive, and seems to hold the skis in place well without any sliding around. I like that it seems to have a safety catch for if the first lock stage somehow comes undone. It does seem like it'd be pretty easy to completely remove the rack from the car, though. I wouldn't trust leaving skis on the car overnight with this. But, then, I suppose it is also pretty easy to remove the OEM cross-bars on my Subaru, so in reality, nothing I mount to them is extremely secure, either.

Used it on a Ford Expedition with a factory rack. Simple installation. Fits well and holds six pairs of skis securely. Two-position latch for thin or thick cargo. There is plenty of clearance for bindings. Very quiet loaded or empty even at (fast) highway speeds. It is a sturdy rack but after studying the latch mechanism, it is a good idea to always lock both racks when the car is in motion. I can see situations where excessive vibration may cause the latch to open if not closed properly; locking it will ensure that it is securely latched.

This is a well-made rack and I am happy with it. It fits 5-6 pairs of skis and it holds them securely. Mounting on my Yakima round crossbars was easy. My only minor complaint is they tend to rotate back from the force of the wind at highway speeds. It doesn't affect performance, but it looks a little goofy until they get straightened out. I would buy these again without hesitation.

This ski rack really has held up well. It holds everything we need on our trips: 2 sets of skis, poles, and a snowboard without any problem. We live 5+ hours away from the ski resort where we have season tickets but traveled 7+ hours to different ski resorts and this ski rack hasn't let us down. We take it off after every trip and store it. It is a little tricky to figure out how to get it on the first time, but really quick and easy every time after that.

Easy to install and simple to use. Carried five sets of skis with no problems over 500 miles at 75 mph. No noise or shiffting. Did have to mount skis with tips to front since crv rails are too close to the rear and skis hit hatch when it's opened if follow directions.

These fit our needs. My old ski rack is ancient and would not fit our new SUV. Purchased some JEGS 71004 cross rails and mounted the ski racks to them. Really like the rubber supports for the skies as one pare of our skies are extra thick and these have lots of room for compression. Not sure why people complain about the locks. They have the extra sliding gate to keep water and ice out of them. Maybe they do not know how to slide the gate to the side with the key. Also, we could fit 6 pairs of parabolic skies on them by alternating pairs facing forward and backwards. One tip, I always fill the locks with WD40 when putting them away for storage.

We ordered this right before Christmas ski trip after reading all the reviews. It arrived on time, easy to install, and served the purpose wonderfully. Yes it holds 6 pairs of skis perfectly and firmly. Saved a lot of space for other ski gear in our trunk. HIGHLY recommend!
