If you have any small kitchen appliances that do not automatically turn off, THIS is what you need. Inexpensive and so worth it. I have all of the little DASH cookers (griddle, grill, waffle maker) and I use this. Just keep it in the outlet plug all the time. Also good for my coffeemaker which does not shut off by itself.

These are great. I use them in my camper trailer to turn off things that aren't needed. I usually run on solar panel charged batteries, so don't like to waste power. I used to have to unplug things, like the TV, which takes some power even when it's off, or the laptop, which I usually only let charge when I have sun, now I just flip the switch. Interestingly, in Scotland, all of the plug outlets I saw had switches built in, probably to conserve power. I looked for some of those in the U.S. but couldn't find any, these are the best I could do. The switch on the side means two can be used in a double outlet; some other switches had the switch on top which would mean only one can be used in a double outlet.

Fantastic little gadget... just what I needed!! I wanted a way to turn an appliance on and off... and this little grounded plugin switch does the trick. Pretty simple to use: * Plug this in * Plug in your item * Turn on and off as needed with the side switch. To sum things up... this is a fantastic Grounded On/Off Power Switch, and I would highly recommend it!!! So far this has been a wonderful solution to an outdoors project we worked on in the courtyard where some of us take our breaks and relax. It was part of a make-shift solution we used to run power to a gazebo until we had the time to properly run conduit everywhere. We ran a heavy-duty 20a extension cable to the gazebo and placed this in-line between the end of the cable and the LED string-lights that daisy together and plug into it. This allowed anyone of us to trigger the lights out there when needed during cloudy days and late work nights where we want to either relax or kick back with a laptop. It worked so well, it wound up hanging out there for three weeks so that we can see if it could live up to the odd stormy weather that kept blowing through. It claims to be indoors only and we wanted to see if we could reach a limit to its exposure to being outside. Also, the power is all tied into a GFI switch (just in case), so we weren't too concerned about anything anyway. If endured the humid and rainy days just fine without any troubles. It wasn't directly exposed to the rain as it was installed under the rooftop of the gazebo, but was exposed to moisture and spray. Not too bad for an affordable switch solution. It wound up proving to be quick resilient.

Works as expected. Compared to other products, it's the lowest price on Amazon. However, HD (think about the store initials) carries a generic brand one for about the same price and it works just as well. This is really convenient for preventing vampire appliances without having to unplug anything. I use this for my rice cooker with an always on keep warm function that I now no longer have to unplug. Awesome.

I needed a switch to turn On/Off my overhead shop light I put up, which just needed to be plugged into an outlet near my washing machine. Plugging it in and unplugging was a hassle. I found this on Amazon (Love that Amazon seems to have what I need when I need it!) and plugged it in to the outlet, Make Sure that the switch is in the OFF position first, This Is a Grounded Switch which is Important. After plugging it in to the outlet, I plugged the shop light into the switch then turn on the switch and on comes the light. A convenient solution for me since I didn't want to install a wired shoplight.

AWESOME! With this, I don't have to worry about electronics and small appliances being plugged while not in use. - You can install 2 of these on the same box and they fit. - The on/off switch is like a regular light switch : you flip it up and it's on (unlike the Leviton model which works the other way around) - It's written ''Off / On'' near to the switch (unlike Leviton which has ''- / O'') I liked this model so much that I ordered a total of 8 of these. If you want peace of mind, if you have OCD or if you want to save a few bucks(electricity), you really should get this!

There is a light strip in our bedroom that was installed before we got the home, the only way to turn it on or off is through plugging or unplugging it to the wall. We use it every day, and it's inconvenient trying to find the plug on the floor, in the dark. This switch is perfect, we can now use this instead of having to do the rough motion of unplugging it every time. I also like the fact that it doesn't have a lit up indicator if it's on or off on the switch itself because I think that would be an annoying feature to have in a dark room right next to our bed.

I really like this for my laptop that I use on my desk. I can disconnect the power without having to unplug constantly. I have a large 17 inch laptop that I like to keep plugged in while I use it but like to disconnect it when not in use and all I have to do now is flip the switch. It has a light to indicate when the switch is turn on.

I Bought 2 of these already,I also bought the older model as well awhile back...& I gotta say that I love the new design of the power kill switch....my only complaint/wish is that they'd design a lighted led power indicator when the unit is turned on the ON position....otherwise I'm very happy still with this piece of equipment making my life easier.
