Super Links: A Great Tasting Veggie Product
I've been eating the Worthington brand Super links for over 20 years. I was thrilled when I found out I could buy them at Amazon. It was getting increasingly difficult for me to find them and when I did they were so much more expensive. It must be a good product for me to have stuck with them this long. I've tried a number of other meat substitute products and none can compare to these. They have a good firm consistency much like real meat hotdogs. The taste is the closest to real meat hotdogs as well. Not artificial tasting. They are great on the bar-b-Q grill but you do have to use a cooking spray to prevent sticking. They don't put out the oil and grease that real meat would but they still are not dry tasting. They cook well boiled or in the frying pan (again use cooking spray to prevent sticking). Much lower in fat and overall healthier than meat hotdogs. I've seen this product recommended by "Weight Watchers". I raised my own children eating Super Links. Worthington also makes a product called Veja Links which I have eaten as well. They are skinnier veggie hotdogs (sold as 10 in a can) but I prefer the Super Links which are fatter in size (sold as 8 per can). I've also tried Worthington's "Loma Linda Big Franks". Again not very good. Stick with the Super Links.

Best Vege-dogs ever made!!!
We've tried Morning Star Farms hot dogs (we love their Grillers, maple-flavored sausage patties, the sausage links and, esp. the "bacon" strips), we tried Yves - which are fine , but!! these are, and always have been since trying them in the 1970's THE BEST vege dogs ever made! So glad to be able to order them, as they are unavailable in any of the stores within, maybe 100's of miles! Thank you Worthington!!

Best Fake Dogs Out There!
Love these! I have lots of problems digesting veggie dogs that are cooked in the microwave or over an open fire. Most I have used in the past became rubbery. Not these! They come out of the can ready to heat. I have used them in several different ways - all with good results! 1. Cut up into stews and soups - they keep their shape even when sliced thin and cooked in a crock pot for hours. 2. Grilled on the stove - They brown up fast and stay juicy. 3. Beany Weenie in a saucepan - They worked great and added flavor and texture as expected. 4. Roasted over an open fire - Best Wiener Roast hot dog ever. The skin stays edible and the dog inside stays juicy and tasty.

Awesome to get these delivered for a good price!
These are awesome - and I live in an area where you can't find an ABC, and also these are so much better priced than the health food stores I can find them at. Big win for me and my family!

Absolutely delicious! Great taste and texture...
I hope these come in stock, and soon! I'm a Seventh-day Adventist (a lot of us are vegetarians and know good veggie stuff) and would normally get Super-Links from the Potomac Adventist Book and Health Food Store in Silver Spring, Maryland. However, they're not that close so the nearest option is Safeway but they're almost $9.00 for a single can...rather outrageous. I didn't grow up vegetarian but if I had a supply of these I would never miss the real thing. They're good right out of the can (heated quickly) and into a hot dog bun. Most of all, I love chopping a few into small rounds and cooking with sauteed onions, stewed tomatoes, sweet corn, and little bit of sugar (to balance out the acidity of the tomatoes). Delicious over rice! Enjoy!

Best vegetarian hot dogs
Best vegetarian hot dogs. I'm been a vegetarian 30 years, tried every veggie dog out there and these remain me and my family's favorite. Grilled, boiled, cold, in mac and cheese, on a bun, these veggie dogs rock! Great to buy in a case since they are not carried by any local stores here and the only place to buy them local has a hefty price tag comparatively.

We loved the Big Franks but we did not like the ...
Before I bought these, we had only eaten the Loma Linda Big Franks and the Linketts. We loved the Big Franks but we did not like the Linketts (they are weirdly "hard" instead of hotdog textured). Because we realized the products all have different tastes and textures, we were leery at first of trying these, but when the price of Big Franks in Amazon's Subscribe and Save option suddenly went up astronomically (!!!) we decided to give these more normal-priced hotdog facsimiles a try to replace that item. I'm glad we did! While we still love the Big Franks (although they actually taste a lot more like really huge Vienna sausages than hotdogs--which is okay since both my husband and I loved Vienna sausages as kids, long before becoming vegetarians) these are far more like real hotdogs. The taste is closer and the texture is a lot more like the real thing than the softer Big Franks. Some people complain about the taste of the broth on all the Loma Linda fake hotdogs, but we actually like it. Yes, it is a bit salty, but I really like the savory quality of the nutritional yeast in it. You can actually use it like meat broth to make gravy as well. The one thing I wish is that these did not have egg whites in them--making them vegetarian but not vegan. (Big Franks are completely vegan.) While we do eat eggs, we get ours from our free range and very happy backyard chickens. I DO NOT wish to promote the cruel poultry industry if I can help it, so I wish Loma Linda would consider finding a substitute for that particular ingredient. The price of these seems kind of expensive if you are used to buying cheap regular hotdogs at the grocery store, but considering that there are 8 links in a can, a can makes a generous two servings each for two people (they say one link is a serving, but really, nobody eats just one of these ;) ) it comes out to very little per meal. Plus they're great right out of the can. You don't even have to cook them to enjoy, so they're great for camping. I would highly recommend these for anyone considering a transition to vegetarianism or even to meat-eaters. So far everyone I've served these to, really likes them. They are especially good on a bun with chili and onions for a fantastic chili-dog!

Best Tasting Veggie Hot Dogs
As a near life long vegetarian, I've tasted a variety of veggie hot dogs. These are the best tasting, confirmed not just by my taste, but of my grandchildren and non-vegetarian husband.

Super Links is the best vegetarian hot dog ever
Super Links is the best vegetarian hot dog ever!!!!! I tried all of them seriously, 18 years vegetarian and i worked at a vegetarian market for years i had the time to try them all lol. I also love that it doesnt take up freezer space like the other brands do. Also, Loma Linda has several other veggie dogs like Big Franks....i did NOT like the big franks at all, i gave my whole case away to the homeless and was hesitant to spend more money on this brand in the pursuit of the perfect veggie dog. I am so glad that i gave Loma Linda Super Links a try because it takes the trophy for best veggie dog in my opinion. Its firm and it has a smoked kind of quality to it, like a veggie bacon taste. If you are looking for a veggie sausage, try Loma Linda Saucettes....its awesome, tastes like scottish bangers meets vienna sausage.
