Excellent Quality Stainless Steel Box Grater

Really high quality piece for the price. The handle is solidly attached, and so is the rubberized base. The blades are sharp and do a great job on any veggies and cheese we have tried to grate. It actually grates cabbage beautifully if you make coleslaw. We use it a few times a week and it looks like it will stand up for a long long time.

A++ for This Box Grater

This sturdy box grater is a sharp tool to have in your kitchen. It grates up a storm. I was able to easily grate sweet potatoes, zucchini, and ginger for a healthy muffin recipe that I featured on my ADD website. This was so much easier than our old grater. It literally cut the grating time in half. The large opening makes it easy to clean by hand. I cleaned it once by hand and also in the dishwasher. It scrubbed up beautifully both times. I highly recommend it. Also, they have good customer service. The CEO checked to see how I liked the grater. You don't see that very often!

Nice box grater

Works well for us. I frequently make omelets and other items that require shredded cheese so needless to say, I've frequently used this since purchasing it. Very durable built, doesn't feel like it'll break on me. I've been using it over 5 months and no rust spots no complaints there. This is actually my first box shredder. What I like over the flat shredders is that it holds my cheese inside while shredding. I can see long use out of this thing.

This is the one to get!!

I have several small graters that are cheap. They just didn't get the job done. So I bought this one. Man, was I missing out for so long. This grater is "heavy duty", well built with a rubber rim on the bottom for the counter. Since I have had this one I have compared the ones at Walmart and Target. For almost the same price you can have this quality made one as the cheaply built ones you find locally. So if you want a good, solid grater this is the one. This is be the last one I will have to buy...great product this company builds.

solid construction; works well

For years I have used a badly rusted hand grater and finally decided to buy a new one. After having an exceptional customer service experience with Spring Chef, I decided to replace my old grater with a new XL sized, stainless steel box grater that they sell. The grater arrives in easy to remove packaging and wrapped in plastic wrap. It is built very solidly. The handle feels very solid and strong. It’s a bit bigger than I anticipated, but that is not a bad thing, and it should be able to grate up a lot of food before needing to be emptied. The picture of it I posted shows the grater next to a 24 ounce stainless steel tumbler for size comparison purposes. Like most box graters, it has different blades on each side for different types of food processing with a large grater, medium grater, zester, and slicer. The bottom of the grater has a rubber covering on the bottom that keeps the grater from sliding around while using it on a counter or plate. The covering is removable if desired for cleaning, although the grater is dishwasher safe. I don’t think there should be need to remove the rubber ring much, if at all, to keep it clean. I used it to grate some sharp cheddar cheese this morning, and it was easy to clean up by hand. Overall, I’m very pleased with this box grater. It is a welcome replacement for my old, rusty hand grater. Spring Chef has already demonstrated to me how well they stand behind their products, and I have no doubt they will stand equally well behind this one.

Love this Grater!!

I love this grater! It has quality construction, is easy to use and cleans easily. Dishwasher safe, but is a breeze to clean in the sink as well. To be fair, I have only used the larger grater size, but I love the size/shape of the grater and it will hold lots of whatever you are grating inside. I also enjoy the non slip bottom and how sturdy this product is. I am looking forward to trying out all of the possible uses, including a slicer. Best Grater

I’m very impressed with the quality of this grater. It’s strong and well made. I like that its dishwasher safe and that the bottom ring easily slips on and off for cleaning. The handle is large and easy to grip and thankfully doesn’t have a silicone grip. I happen to be one of those people who isn’t a fan of all things silicone. I would definitely buy it again or buy it as a gift. The company even sent a separate email with a video demonstrating it’s features.

SHARP!

This is a REAL, professional grade, grater. This is well-built, solid, using quality materials and it is very, very sharp. If you do not know how to properly grate foods, be very careful with this kitchen tool. If you do know how to properly grate food (emphasis on safely), you will be very happy with this item. Also, be careful when storing this grater. Put this in a place where you can always see it, before you grab it, and always grab it by the handle in order to move it. Searching for it in the back of a cabinet or grabbing it any other way than by the handle my result in "unintentional and premature" grating. Ouch! This is a professional grade grater at a very low price. A real bargain if safely used.

I love the grater with its options of different grate types

I love the grater with its options of different grate types. The grater is very sharp and is very stable. The last time I used it with the unit I wasn't watching carefully and gouged a big chunk out of my thumb knuckle. BE CAREFUL! The rubber grip at bottom makes this the best cheese grater I've encountered, along with the large size. All 4 sides work wonderfully!

What a delight!

Well, I had to wait to do a review until I used this grater. I have to say that, for the price, I thought that it would be made of a flimsy metal and not very sturdy. How wrong I was! This grater is first class! The handle is very comfortable for someone with problems holding objects or with arthritis. The rubber at the bottom keeps it from slipping on the counter or cutting board. It's also removable for easy washing. Each grater side is sharp and well angled. I used it for zesting and grating cheese and carrots. I was very impressed.
