Easy to understand & use ! Comes with “Quick start guide” pamphlet so you can get this unit up & running! Works great! I have degenerative disc disease with spine fusion on lower lumbar and now have a bulging disc, 13 years after fusion. Using the “tens” unit made that HORRIBLY CHRONIC pain where it was a real struggle getting up on my feet go away! LOVE THIS THING! Merry Christmas to “Me”😏❤️

I purchased this months ago for a back pain that recurred after several months of being pain free. I was advised by my physician and therapist to get one of these since I was spending a lot for therapy sessions over the years since my first injury. I can do my rehabilitation exercises at home after I use this with hot packs (I just don't have an ultrasound machine) daily in between therapy sessions. I ordered this with a package that had the large electrodes. It is indeed small and lightweight as advertised but it's not fancy looking. For me, what's important is the relief it gave me. I couldn't tolerate sedating medication during the daytime so this augmented my recovery faster and helped in my mobility. I also followed manufacturers instructions which was thoroughly prepared in their manual. My favorite setting for pain relief is P4! It's easy to use, not messy and it's very portable. I just noticed that after a month, with twice a day of use, the electrodes seem dry so a little gel helps. It has a safety feature that prevents sudden strong surges so the user has to gradually increase the intensity of the current and the buttons help there. It's a bit stiff so I can tell how many times I've pressed it. The electrode pads are another to rave about, they're durable, easy to stick on skin, they're neat, the gel doesn't leave a residue and they're easy to keep, just follow manufacturers storage directions, which is easy to follow. It's a lot better to put on without taping it. I was so happy with this that I ordered more electrodes, gel, alcohol wipes and lotion! Soon, my son used this for his legs after his track training. Then my husband used it too for hip pain.... We recover faster from injuries with this and don't depend on strong medications for pain relief any more. It's a family asset already. I mentioned that I use this with hot packs because it's my therapy prescription but manufacturer cautioned using such as it dries out the gel. However, I use hot water bags at home wrapped in towels over the electrodes and it works magic! I am scared of using the electric hot packs as it might affect the electrical current and could dry out the gel more since it warms the air in pockets over areas it's not completely covering. I'd rather sacrifice the longevity of the electrode pads (it still lasts more than a month despite the abuse) with the gels than not recover. Customer service was also great because I called them several times to clarify the model and package contents. Then they helped me with a missing package. Btw, I'm just a user, not a paid reviewer, just helping out those searching for a great instrument and to thank the great minds who came up with this.

This device is small and I did not expect that it would hold up to its claim...... But it did and more. I recommend this product to everyone who needs this type of therapy..... It's portable and effective...... It's awesome..... Thanks

I got it today because of a knee injury. I like the flexibility to have different programs. It contains 8 programs for TENS ans 6 program for EMS. The box contained a small book explaining every program. Also, you can set the timer of the program, and the device shuts off automatically once you finish the program. It was very simple to use. They also have videos on youtube to guide you how to use the device or you can read the manual as well. Now, the important question is "does it provide a high quality programs?" Yes, the tens unit is helping me a lot to reduce the pain of my injury and the EMS unit is helping to estimulate my muscles while im still injured. Im also planning on using the ems ti strength my core and for active recovery purposes for my legs and arms. This device is suitabke for athletes who have are looking for a device that will help them go through injuries faster and also will help them get active recoveries more efficiently. I highly recommend this product!

Bought this for chronic mostly muscular back pain. The main control unit is pretty small, about 2 x 3.5 inches. Comes with 3 AAA batteries. Hardly weighs anything even with battery installed. Display is good, but is not backlit. There are 2 electrodes plugs on top. Each electrode split into 2 pins that plug into the contact patches. Electrical current cycles between the 2 pins, causing the EMS or TENS effect. You can run one electrode at a time, but that electrode has to have contact patches plugged in in order to work. You get 4 packages of contact patches. The first two packages each have four 1.5 inch pads. Again, you'll need 2 patches per electrode. The patches have a sticky adhesive and comes stuck on a plastic sheet. You remove the pads, plug it in to the electrodes. When done you peel it off your skin, then stick it back onto the plastic sheet for storage. According to the label, each pad last up to 30 uses. The second set of two packages each contain 2 larger contact pads that measure about 3 x 5 inches. Usage is super simple. The manual is excellent. I looked at it briefly. There are 2 basic modes. TENS and EMS. There are 8 preprogrammed TENS modes, and 6 preprogrammed EMS modes. The manual does a good job differentiating the different modes. There's no way to program you own modes. Each electrode has intensity setting that goes from 0 to 25. Then the last function is the timer. You can set the duration of use, and the unit turns off afterwards. I've used this now for a couple of days. What's it like? First the TENS modes feels almost like tiny needle sticks that cause a tiny bit of surface muscle fascination The EMS modes feels similar, causing mostly muscle contraction, but not so much the pin prick sensation. Does it work? Frankly I've not used it enough to really say. Though this technology has been well researched. I do feel that my muscles are just a bit more relaxed and I do think I feel less pain. It's not an astounding effect like taking a good pain pill. But I think the effect will build over time. Overall I like the unit. It does what it's designed to do. It's easy to use, small, and relatively inexpensive. Apparent quality of the unit is good also.

I had a lumbar fusion of L4/L5- 8 months post op and have been suffering HORRIBLE pain at night- all night long I ache so bad in my back I can't stand it. I have to constantly move around to break up the 'stiffness' and pain. I do not take pain medication that much and it wears off while I'm asleep anyway so there was no way to avoid what I know was going to happen during the night. Not even a week ago I bought this machine on a whim after reading positive reviews and I have not had any BACK PAIN during the night since I started using it. This is not a cheap flimsy unit and the electrodes are heavy duty very durable. The machine was easy to figure out and so far I have only used the TENS mode (for pain) I highly recommend anyone who suffers with pain and stiffness during the night from a fusion to use this machine it works and it's CHEAPER than going to the therapist for STIM this unit is equally as strong I was going through STIM and noticed on the days I had PT I slept better so I bought my own unit. Don't live with pain and don't think that pills are the only way to get rid of pain. Good luck to all of you who have been living with chronic pain I can relate.

Have owned a couple other cheaper tens units in past which were not very good. The Irelieve is amazing in comparison. It actually works about as well as the ones I have used in PT. I was skeptical that a battery operated device could actually be strong enough to compare to the professional devices, but I was really surprised by how strong it is. I did not even want to crank it up all the way to highest settings. Using it for exteme knee pain at the moment, and it really does provide some temporary relief. I was not clear on how many pads were included and almost ordered extras...mine actually arrived with 4 sets of pads (2 sets of 2 xl pads, and 2 sets of 4 regular pads). Money well spent. Very satisfied with the purchased. Only thing I would suggest as an improvement is a backlit screen so settings can be seen in the dark. But I guess it would eat up batteries faster so may not be worth having a feature like that.

Bought this unit after reading an answer to a question asking if anyone used this for plantar fasciitis. I've had plantar fasciitis for 3 years. I've been using this for 2 weeks now and I feel almost healed. Certainly the most relief I've been able to get from massage, PT exercises, Rolfing, insoles, and even chiropractic methods. Anyone who is familiar with Rolfing knows it's similar to massage except it manipulates soft tissue (fascia) instead of deep tissue (muscles). I mean if 10 sessions of realigning my whole body's fascia didn't work then what the heck would? This has been immensely helpful. I use EMS setting 6 to force my toestocurl. It's the "towel drag exercise" if you could maneuver the towel with weight. Really forces a strong contraction. The towel thing seemed like the most useless exercise because a towel doesn't weigh anything and any dumbel weight is too awkward to use. This fixes the problems and it does it for you.

Works great after receiving the replacement from manufacturer. Customer service was superb and the unit really does reduce the amount of chiropractor visits I've had to schedule. I use it for my back. The pads are super sticky, so you need to be careful when reaching around to place them or they will stick together. There is a video on their website that is helpful in learning to use the different settings and it doesn't take long to figure it out. It's a great product.

The package arrived when it was promised, intact, no damage, and it worked perfectly out of the box (after installing the included batteries, a nice touch, thanks). A review of the quick setup guide was all that was needed to determine how to make the appropriate settings and let it do it's thing. It was nice to have 2 different sizes of pads and 2 sets of both sizes. Great product!
