I love this product. It is sweetened with Birch Xilytol which is much lower on the glycemic index than that derived from corn. The caramels are very tasty and help me stay on my diet and exercise routine without feeling deprived. I love them so much I've ordered them twice already. Highly recommended.

Recommended by my dentist's office

My dentist's office specifically recommended candy sweetened with xylitol to prevent decay, and I found Dr. John's online. I have purchased both their hard candy and the soft taffy. I have particularly enjoyed the taffy and am careful to eat only one to three candies a day, to avoid intestinal disturbances. I tried this brand, as well as 2 or 3 others, but found I like this one best. As a result, I have reordered several times and will continue to do so. I have been well pleased with this brand.

These are sooo good! Absolutely no after taste and the company takes great care to use a nice size wrapper to wrap these caramels in. I will be ordering these again soon. Paid full price, no affiliation with the company at all. They can loosen your stools so go easy. I love these things!

Can't tell they are sugar free and low calorie!

Had to remove sugar and gluten from the husband's diet on doctor's orders. In order to get him to maintain this change, I needed something to quell his love of candy. We got these as well as 2 bags of the Dr John's suckers and he absolutely loves them all! I tried one of the butterscotch candies and I could not tell they weren't just regular candies. Finding this will be a literal life saver for him.

Great tasting caramels

These are awesome. They really taste like caramel candies. I just ordered a pack because I heard of the wonderful benefits of Xylitol and how it controls bad mouth and stomach bacteria formation. I had to get these internationally shipped though cause I live in the east and the candies were pretty good when they arrived. I'm sucking down a melted vanilla swirl while the rest are sitting in the fridge for cool down. Maybe I'll order their hard candy next time.

These are so yummy! I bought these for my husband, for father's day and we both love them. They're a bit more like taffy than caramel but that's perfect for him because he has always loved taffy. I will be buying more of Dr Johns products.

I like that xylitol kills mouth and stomach bad bacteria

I'd say theese are 90% similar to real carmels. Slightly stickier, slightly less intense taste, but I found them delicious and wanted to eat the whole bag. I like that xylitol kills mouth and stomach bad bacteria. So I'll keep eating these. Teh 100% carmel taste is a brand that uses the regular sugar alcohols but that will mess up your stomach and has toxic ingredients. I'll buy more of these.

Delicious & safe for my special diet!

I suffer from various health issues, most seriously from digestive conditions which require a special diet. Even though I'm not a diagnosed diabetic, my digestive issues caused gut-yeast overgrowth which causes many other health issues. I've been on a low-sugar/low-carb/low-mold diet for six months (The Candida Diet). This brand of sweets is one of the few allowed in my diet & it's delicious!

Amazing!

What a fantastic find! I've recently started a low-carb diet, and these treats are the first thing I reach for when I'm in the mood for sweets. They're outstandingly good, with the texture and flavor of a standard caramel. It must be magic! I've never eaten more than one serving (5 pieces) in a day, so I can't speak to stomach discomfort. They're rich enough that 5 is all I need. While they are a little pricey, I think they're absolutely worth the cost when you consider how delicious and indulgent they are.
