Worked great until I lost it. Just like the others I've had but have died. This one was so small I somehow lost it. I actually kept it in the original box inside the original foam until the whole thing vanished. It's small size required me to use long nosed pliers to retrieve it from my wife's Subaru Forester, and one other car. Other than that it was a great product and price.

My wife's 2013 Kia Soul has had some glitches with the transmission interlock jamming when it's cold. The other day this happened while were on a long vacation trip, and the check-engine light came on. We were able to fire up a phone app while on the road and verify that the light was caused by an error from a transmission interlock switch, thus isolating a problem that it's been hard to for mechanics to reproduce or fix. Now I need to try it on our other vehicle, a VW Routan, to see why its check engine light is on.

It would not read the fault code for the ABS light on my 2001 Ford Taurus. A mechanic friend told me that only special high-priced sensors read ABS codes. But I emailed Veepeak customer support, and had an answer within 12 hours. They told me about two apps that give dedicated Ford info. After downloading the app called Forscan for my Android phone, I connected my phone to the scanner and quickly got the results I needed. The front right ABS sensor was throwing a 1145 code, which means an open circuit, or damaged or contaminated sensor. Can't wait to get in there and look at it. That saves me so much time and work to know it's the front right wheel. (I was going to start at the left and right rear, because the problem started after I had worked on the rear brakes.) This seems like a great product all around––already well worth the $10.98 I paid for it. I also plugged it into my 2002 Honda Accord, using the Torque Lite app. But there were no trouble codes to read. I almost want to see a check engine light, so I can read the code and know right away what's wrong. Well . . . not quite, but almost.

I bought this to replace a defective OBD II plug. Within minutes of receiving the package I had read the error code from my car and cleared the Check Engine light. Replacement oxygen sensor ordered from Amazon and the OBD II plug is in storage until needed again. One thing I noted, I needed to get my phone pretty close to pair it. I don't know if that's just my new phone or the sensor. In any case, once paired it worked with no issue. The app I use is "inCarDoc Free", works fine with no hassles.

I used the product to read the fault codes because my check engine light came on. I used the free Android app - Torque(Lite) which read the codes, looked the codes up on the web for me (there is a button to press for this) and reset the codes (another button press). At the price it was far less than having a shop just "read the codes" for me. I was a little concerned that the free software (Torque(Lite)) would reset the codes as at one point in Torque's website it read it would and another point it did not list that a as a function - IT WILL reset the codes. There is much more the app can do for you, but this is all I needed. I do keep it in my car and at this price I think it is an excellent piece of safety equipment, especially if you are on the road a lot. With this if something should cause the check engine light to come on you can evaluate if it is something you need to fix quickly or something that can wait until you get back to your "home base". If you are an auto aficionado there are many options in the Torque program you can use and it is MUCH cheaper than installing many of the gauges you would need to get the same information.

I tried 3 other models of OBD2 Bluetooth Adapter in my 2001 Excursion, none of which worked properly. This one works perfectly and has the added bonus of being a mini version so it isn't in the way if you're using the OEM location for the port. The Torque Pro Android app works great with this for monitoring transmission temp, oil temp, etc. when towing. It is a known issue that the ECU will shut the engine down when pulling or erasing codes; I haven't found a workaround for this, and it isn't really a problem. That doesn't seem to happen with Car Gauge Pro, but I do prefer the Torque Pro interface. I was able to successfully perform an injector buzz test using Car Gauge Pro and this adapter, so it does seem to work as well as one could expect.

This scanner is as good as the 100$+ scanners on Amazon. It is the App that makes the difference. Get a Good App. It works beautifully with Android OS, and ended up testing 20+ free OBD Apps from Google Play. I've shortlisted these to: Carista, CarSys, Car Scanner, OBD-II ScanMaster, and EOBD Facile. I may update my review after finding the Top-2 I liked the most. I'm not an enthusiast, and I don't want to spend hours checking every last bit of rpm, air flow, torque etc, so I will select the two that are the most user friendly for doing a pre-Emissions test analysis, and detailed Engine Light diagnosis to get the correct repairs done. I highly recommend this device over all the others. At less than 10$, it will do the same job as the more expensive ones, and save you and your children some cash. It's the App that counts.

Initially, I was skeptical. All of the capabilities of an obd2 scanner in a small Bluetooth adapter? Turns out it was true. This is an amazing adapter, and does everything it advertises. The app I chose to pair it with was torque, initially the Lite version, but I upgraded to torque pro a week into having the scanner. I've used it on a couple vehicles with no issues whatsoever, including: 2002 Mustang GT, 2000 Acura Integra GS-R, 2006 Subaru WRX, and a 2012 Nissan Sentra SR. The only thing that varied was the values it could display, as not all vehicles ecu's could give me the same information, ex: the integra couldn't tell me alternator voltage. Also, although it's tempting, the horsepower is not accurate :( Overall I am pleased.

Picked this one because it is small enough to leave plugged in all the time. Works as expected. It took a few minutes to get my phone to recognize it, but that wasnt the device's fault, i had previouslyused another obd2 scanner and my phone kept looking for the other one. Simply unpaired the other one and everything synchronized perfectly. Works faster than the other one too.

This scanner is much smaller than my old one. My OBD2 Plug is in a problematic area to have the tool plugged in while driving. This much smaller one makes that a non-issue. It's also much faster than my old one. It sends data as fast as my phone wants it. Between those two things i'm able to use this as a real-time gauge with Torque and get a bunch of cool data I wasn't able to use before with my older slower one.
