Wasn't expecting to be impressed since most digital night vision products are very expensive.Wow!!! Extremely glad I purchased! Very easy to use, even in the dark. The IR and brightness options allow you to dial in the optics for any lighting condition. The darker the better. Picture is exceptionally clear. Glad it's manual focus so you don't have to battle with and wait on auto-focus. Looks like the Gen 3 quality you see in online videos. Field of view is relatively small as compared to 50mm scope, but well worth the trade off for the image quality. Definitely RECOMMEND!

Bought this to use for hunting and camping. Gen 2 NVG is best but it is very expensive. For hunting and camping, this monocular is enough. Used it already couple times. Once you get used to the button, most of the functions are very easy to use. In the dark, you can see very clearly up 200 yds. This image is exceptionally clear and the 6X magnification works smoothly. If you need mount the monocular on the rail, you can get picatinny to picatinny rail mount clamp adapter from Amazon. Just wish it had auto power focus, so we do not need to focus on the target by the hand. Another downside is the battery. A set of four AA alkaline only can run about 30 mins. We have to bring a portable power bank just in case. Overall we love it.

I needed to take night photos of harbor seals on a haulout platform 300 feet from shoreline, which is a challenge. But this product works, here's a day photo and a night photo for comparison. Very versatile adjustments for different lighting conditions. The only caveat is it eats ordinary alkaline batteries: when using the infra-red beam you will run down a set of 4 AA Duracell alkalines in 20-30 minutes. This can be solved by buying rechargeable Ni-Mh, which last much longer on a single charge. The manufacturer actually recommends using Lithium batteries, but so far the Ni-Mh works fine. The only downside is setting the date-time stamp: I actually had great difficulty getting the settings to "take" in the memory, and it seemed that you need to have very fresh alkalines to set the date/time. That's why I gave it only 4 stars at first, but now give 5 stars because of the following: UPDATE: I emailed Bestguarder service, and they replied in a couple of hours with the following procedure to set date/time, which is slightly different from the manual--and it works! Here's their reply: Press the "Brightness" button 3 seconds into the set manual Press the" IR" button to find the "Date & Time..." Press the "-" button to display the date and time Press the "REC" button twice to find "Year, Month, Day, Hour, Minute" Press the "IR" button to find the " Minute" Press the "REC" button entering into the minute from" 1, 2, 3....60" Press the "IR" button to select the exact minute Press the "REC" button to confirm your selection and back to the minute set Press"+" button back to the setting manual(also can press the"IR" button" back to the date and time setting manual), and press" Brightness" button to quit the setting manual, and take some photo, the exact minute will be displayed on the photo. The date and time can be set at any batteries, the alkaline, lithium battery or power bank.

Very nice night vision. In complete darkness you can see clearly up to 150 yds with the ir illuminator I also tried my armasight illuminator which helped to see a little farther. After 150 yds it gets a little blurry and Hard to tell what kind of animal your looking at cats, dogs, raccoons etc bigger animals are easier to make out. Looked at a lot of videos and did a lot of research on this item before buying and I wasn't disappointed when I tried it out the first time I think a lot of people that gave bad reviews either don't know anything about night vision devices or didn't read the Instructions. Takes a few minutes to figure out the buttons when setting the menu but after that no problem. I have an armasight clip on night vision I bought for $2,100 and this thing is pretty close to the same clarity for , well u do the math. I would definitely recommend this to anyone . I might even buy a few for friends at christmas. I hope this helps

I bought this to use for hunting and just messing around at night. At night I took it out of the box and put batteries in it and turned it on. The day feature works good but then it tried the night vision. I was surprised how clear it was and how good I could see everything in pitch black. I am very happy with it. It works great. Just wish it had power focus . You have to focus it by hand by turning the lens. Other then that it woks excellent and my nephew wants to buy one now for hunting. Great product. You should be happy with it. Also taking pictures and video are a huge plus.

I purchased this for my husband .He loves them! This binoculars really work well. this has enough magnification, but not too much (otherwise your field of view becomes very small and hard to focus). the "high beam" infrared is also real nice. we've been watching nocturnal animals from our second story window with clarity and ease.the night singt is more powerful than I expect worth .what I paid (1)Night vision is good. I can see out at least 200 yards at night.( 2)Fine in daylight but with good binos that is not a big feature(3)When on, the IR illuminator is quite visible to others in low light / darkness. The upside is that it is quite powerful.(4)It takes 4 AA batteries, which is great. I try to stick with electronics that use AA or AAA instead of CR123, so I can use my rechargeable batteries.

These monoculars works great so far. I like how they have electronics that support the lenses that promote zooming. This makes it much easier for me to zoom in and out. Night vision adds an additional bonus for my night sight seeing. Bottom Line: 5 Stars out of 5 Pros: -Night vision -Camera/ lens compatibility that allows for picture taking with the phone. Cons: None for the product, but maybe include some batteries.

Great product all around. The clarity on night mode is impressive. I've compared several and stuck with this one. Hands down the best night vision you will find for this price.

My impression is, it works. It is rugged and feels good in hand because it has the rubber coating and it fits my hands. Comfortable, like it won’t slip out if my hands wet. It takes some time and a little practice getting used to the controls and lag time focusing, especially the first time you turn the unit on. This unit is better than some of the military stuff I used to work with. Be sure to read brief instruction manual and comment on the various control buttons carefully, having done that the unit performs well. I have no problem seeing objects with considerable clarity over 150 yards away. The optics are much better than other units near the same price point. Excellent view in total darkness with IR illumination. I was able to see my black cat walking under apple trees at about 50 yards without the IR on. When I turned IR on, the cat glowed. So good for seeing what’s in the dark. Using AA batteries is a huge plus. Easy to find batteries. Fires up fast and IR truly puts that added oomph when need in total darkness. This is well made piece of equipment that works exactly as advertised. You can also use it as a recreational tool for camps, night biking and wildlife observation. Once you spend some time with it, the fun begins.

For $260... WOW! Bought this for spotting at night instead of using the NV on the gun since it's bulky and heavy. It is very clear past 200 yards. Feeder in the pic is 180 yard without using zoom. Just sticking iPhone up to monocular. If your expectations are even close to reasonable, you will not regret getting this unit.
