Well I normally wear a speed socket model goggle for racing, these goggles are much more padded around the eye socket and are comfortable for longer swims without rubbing your eyes as much. The only compromise there is that they don't adhere to your face quite as well on a entry or start dive. After more than 2,000 hours in the pool, these goggles are still holding up great! Making sure to dry them off and keep him in there and they gobble pouch will further prolong your life as it prevents any dry rotted deterioration of the gasket.

I am not a swimmer. Not in the competitive or even fitness sense. But I like the pool, and my kids like playing underwater games. I got this pair so we could do things like: wave at each other underwater, pick things up at the bottom of the pool, and pretend to be underwater aliens. The real reason I got these, though, was to shade my eyes from the sun. I used to use sunglasses, but these are much better.-- my sunglasses kept getting drenched from splashing water and it was irritating (a small irritant, like a first-world problem sort of thing, I know). I love these things. They provide great sun protection, and I don't have to worry about them being knocked off and broken into 3 pieces, such as what happened to my sunglasses when my son wanted me to carry him around the pool and throw him as if he were a football.

Solid set of goggles. I purchased these after using a Wal-Mart pair because I lost my 10 year old speedo goggles. I'd pay more for these. Presently I swim three times a week for 30mins to 1hr in a training setting. The straps are good at staying at what length you select and have enough length to fit about all the heads out there. The gasket quality is great, the nose-pieces are difficult to swap out but not prohibitively so, and the shading/mirroring (I got the gold) is spot-on. I don't feel blinded for outdoor swimming and I have no issues with indoor-pool swimming in them either. As noted in a few other questions/reviews these don't come with a case, which would be awesome but they are as advertised and I'm presently using the packaging as their "case."Buy with confidence, I can recommend these in-eye-socket goggles with no reservations. Let me know if you have any questions!

I'm taking a swimming class and I needed some goggles. I used a pair made by a well known sneaker company and they worked okay but they leaked, got foggy, and had to be constantly adjusted. I wanted to try something different and I knew something had to be better out there. I checked reviews and they led me to these Speedo Vanquisher 2.0's. What a huge difference! No more adjusting, no more fog, and no more leaks! My only complaint is that they were a little too tight after practicing in the water. I'll adjust them and they should be fine. I highly recommend these.

These are absolutely 5 star quality... Up until 2 years ago, I was a competitive swimmer at a division 3 collegiate level with 16 years of racing under my belt. I have tried most goggles out there like the Swedes and the TYR version but have always made it back to the vanquisher. They are the best for cost, aerodynamics, and feel. For everyone complaining about being too dark, I'm not sure what you're looking for, these are goggles, not corrective lenses. The black line on the bottom of the pool isn't that hard to see. Also, if I had wanted my competition to see my eyes, I would have gotten clear goggles. FYI, no competitive swimmer wears clear goggles.

This is the only one I've found that fits me well, doesn't bruise my eye sockets when I am doing distance swims, and when paired with a little drop of baby smampoo they tend to stay clear and not fog up. At least for a season. I do have to replace them once a year but between pool swims and open water swims I do tend to be pretty hard on them. In my 4 years of triathlons I've been through a number of different brands and styles. And this is by far my favorite.

These goggles are very good. Best I have ever owned. Nice visual clarity, straps fit tight and comfortably, bridge never bothers the nose. The different bridge sizes made it so I could find the perfect width to fit over my eyes. One small complaint is they do not tell you how to replace the bridge. It is harder to pull out than it seems and you don't want to break them. Ultimately, I used pliers with some padding to protect the bridge and pulled hard and that worked. Putting another one in is easier and the pliers help with that too. Also, this particular pair was more shaded than I thought it would be. I went back for the clear ones and like them better. But that's a personal preference.

These are my favorite speedo goggles yet. I read the bad reviews but I think the suction cup part are just defectives. Mine arrives perfectly fine and I've used them many times. I've had no problems with the straps either and love how smooth they are. Makes it nice when you aren't wearing a cap! Doesn't pull your hair. My adivice would be to make the strap loose first , put it on then adjust it. Good quality goggles. Loved the rainbow color. Eye catching

I've been swimming competitively forever and I am currently on my third pair of Vanquisher 2 goggles. I've tried a variety of competing products but always end up coming back. They have a great field of view, fit well, and don't leak. After a few years you may have to replace the strap but it's an easy swap. They do fog after a few uses but I'd challenge you to find a pair that doesn't.

I have managed to collect now four pairs of swimming goggles. This pair is my clear favorites. While I am still satisfied with at least two other pairs, I am reluctant to use them. I've been using these now for about 6 weeks. There is still a fogging issue, but there is a better performance for these Speedo googles and they are comfortable to put on, wear, and take off. I see no reason for me to look for a better goggles.
