  • SAFETY FIRST: Pet Corrector is not recommended for use with Puppies and should never be pointed directly at a dog, nor any part near your body. Pet Corrector is not a toy and should be used only by adults and professionals.

If you have one of those noisy barking dogs next door that sit by your fence and bark every twenty seconds, this is the product for you. It's just a spray can of air that I believe is pressurized higher than things like hairspray or spray paint and it makes a louder noise. Dogs don't seem to like it. When the dog barks, I sneak out and wait until he barks again and give the can a quick spray. He immediately stops and won't come back to my side of the fence for days. You can also use this for other behaviors that need correcting. But if you have that neighbor who always has some lame excuse for the dog barking or constantly yelping, this stuff will take care fo it. You don't have to be right next to the dog, just in the proximity and you do not spray the dog. Easy to use. Comes with instructions for behavior correction too.

This is the best thing for stopping or interrupting unwanted dog behavior. I have 3 small dogs that have several different things that can be disruptive. One pup is a screamer like you have never heard. I think I could hire her out to remove wallpaper with her screams! I have not heard anymore screams after using this compressed air can. Another dog is a notorious table surfer. I set him up to get on the table and was at the other end of a large kitchen. A good blast and a "that's a no" and now all I have to do is show him the can and he cuts out whatever naughty he is up too! The ear ringing barks of 3 dogs has been reduced to acceptable door bell alerts and short in duration. I purchased several cans so I wouldn't run out and a holster to wear. I highly recommend it as a pain free and rather inexpensive way to make unwanted behaviors no fun for the dog.

I am generally a fan of positive reinforcement when training my pups, but one of my dogs (an 11 month old Aussie/Border Collie mix) is SUPER stubborn and barks a lot. She barks at the neighbors, at the neighbor's dog, at the mail man, at every squirrel in the yard, at the cat, when she wants to play, when she sees someone outside... etc etc etc. I had tried one of those no-shock collars and she just barked right on through it, I tried a dog whistle, she just ignored it. I was starting to lose hope of ever teaching her how to be quiet, despite researching and trying a variety of training methods. Then I saw this stuff. I was skeptical, but I bought 2 cans thinking I'd use those up in the first few days and would probably need to buy more! The first day, I used it 3 or 4 times and used the word "quiet". She definitely didn't like the noise and was startled into silence immediately. The second day, I would show her the can and say "quiet" (that worked, amazingly). Now I just say "quiet" and she shuts up. I've still got most of one can and an entire second can and I'm not sure I'll ever need to use it again!

Oh my goodness! Where do I start? This stuff is the BEST! We have a pup who loves to challenge us. We've worked with several trainers and have brought him to training, but he loves to push our buttons and try to get away with things here and there. The first day, after we received this, we used it to stop him from eating a kleenex. I pushed the top of it while saying "ah-ah" and he stopped mid track, dropped the kleenex, and looked at me in shock. I was able to pick up the kleenex and dispose of it. He tried it again, same thing, the next day. I repeated the action and again it was a complete success. Since then, he hasn't touched a single kleenex in the house. Gone are the days of kleeenex napping, counter surfing, barking up a storm, and jumping on people. I'm so glad we found this!

I can't even begin to say thank you for this product. I am a dog owner of a 4 1/2 yo Rescue pitbull mix that has severe separation anxiety- I mean chew and dig through the wall, door frame, door, plastic, crates, you name it. I have don EVERYthing, I have read every article, tried every means of training, medication, distractions, treats, and then there was Pet Corrector. I first purchased it to help curb his obsessive barking, crying in the car when we would pull into a parking lot or stop at a light. It started to work immediately, I had attempted the water spray trick, but that did nothing. After only a few uses, the behavior stopped. A few years later I moved into a new apartment with him and within 2 weeks he was back to digging at the door, etc when I would leave. I started to use the spray during my training, coming in and out of the house. When I would return to the house, if he was near the door, I would give a little spray. He was not a fan. Pretty soon, he just would see me go to the door and quickly walk away. Fingers crossed this sticks and helps him break the mental pattern that he needs to dig to find me. I think he is learning to sooth himself and realize home is safe and I will return to him. I can't even begin to say how thankful I am, this small paragraph can't even convey the challenges it has been to see my little guy suffer with this anxiety and almost injure himself. Thank you so much, and I hope that this review can help someone else in the future.

This product really works, and is the most humane way we've found to break inappropriate behavior. We have a year-old rescue dog that had developed several habits that needed addressing -- mainly, barking at everything that moved. We tried a bark collar that worked well for the barking, but it didn't address his other troublesome behaviors. Pet Corrector emits a sound that is unpleasant for the dog, but not for humans. The hissing sound it makes stops our dog in his tracks if he's barking, jumping up onto furniture, or table surfing, We can't believe the difference in just one week! I was worried I would have to buy these cans by the gross, but we haven't even used up one can. We are now a very happy family!

I trained my puppy Labrador to sit, stay, heel. After I took him to the beach and let him run around, he "forgot" all about heeling. This did the trick. The nozzle amplifies sound, and they notice. You point it away from them but one loud blast (to them, it's not loud to a human) and he stopped pulling. After the first block of a few loud blasts, I could use short barely "hisses" and get him to correct. Expensive, works as a reminder tool, would get too expensive as a training tool unless your dog is actually afraid of this. This pup is not afraid of it, but he responds to it as a correction.

I had complained to a friend about one of my dogs (a small Havanese) being overly aggressive/excited about so many things. The list is long, but he barked at skateboarders, buses, trucks, motorcycles, local trains, big dogs, etc. I live in a city and, unfortunately, this means we see a lot of all of these things. My friend ended up giving me her Pet Corrector to try out on him. I was hesitant...I've tried A LOT of techniques to stop him and couldn't believe that this can of air be able to put a stop to it? Boy, was I wrong! I used it once when a train passed us. Just once. He has not barked at a train since! I was about to use when a motorcycle rode pass us. My dog saw me pull it out of my jacket pocket and immediately stopped getting excited. It's been 5 months since the ONLY time I sprayed it and he has not barked at any trucks, motorcycles, or trains. We just moved closer to the downtown area, right next to a university. Since almost everyone is on a skateboarder, my dog was barking non-stop. I remembered about this corrector and placed an order right away. Again...I sprayed it once and he has not barked at ANY skateboarders in the last week. Since this came with two cans, I gave the second can to my mom who has a very bad, large husky. She had the same experience as me...one spray was all it took for that dog to be the best behaved dog on the block! I recommend this to anyone who has a dog that needs correcting.

I cannot rave about this product enough. We have chewing, barky, jump-y, aggressive in play style puppies who need a lot of work with training. They tend to bite when they get really excited and it is a quite annoying and sometimes painful habit to expect when we come home from work. This is the only product that works with immediately calming down our dogs and stopping bad behavior. We live in a flat in Chicago with thin walls and close by neighbors. I love that we can control our dogs and nip bad behaviors in the but without raising our voices or having to scold our dogs. It's not at all harmful to the dog and it works WONDERS on our pups. It's truly been a lifesaver to alter unwanted behavior. I do consider this product to be a bit pricey and bought it with full skepticism but now I know I would have spent a lot more taking our pups to a trainer than using this at home. Be advised: a little bit does go a long way.

Works like a charm! I had been squirting the dogs with a water bottle, which worked for most things...except the chaos and barking that happens when anybody comes to the door. After reading the reviews, I decided to give this a try, and wow - was I surprised at how well it works! I have 3 French Bulldogs and they FREAK OUT anytime somebody rings the doorbell or knocks - heck, even when they hear the UPS guy scan something outside the door, and this has completely stopped that behavior. They might get up and start to run to the door, but then they look back in terror because they remember "THE CAN". The air shoots out really loudly, so the first few times they were completely startled, but they put it together pretty quickly. Now I rarely have to even spray it - they just stop as soon as they see it in my hand. They get into fights occasionally as well, and this is a safe and very effective way to break up the fight without losing a finger or getting mauled in the process.
