That sucked. However
Ordered an Oster first and when it arrived the box was damaged. I took a picture and sent it to Amazon when I received it, but it was a gift and the recipient didn't open it for a few weeks. The Oster was broken, but Amazon/Oster won't do anything about it because I told them it was broken 30 days after I bought it. That sucked. However, I bought this Secura Stainless Steel Electric Wine Bottle Opener to replace the other and this one is a big hit. The light is cool and my friend loves it.

It's the Tops
I'm a sucker for wine bottle openers. I thought the rabbit ear openers were the ultimate when they appeared on the market. As arthritis came with age, I found that even the rabbit ear could be difficult to use at times. When the electric bottle openers appeared, they held promise, but were unreliable and short lived. The Secura is the first one I have used that is a solid performer. On a single charge, the Secura is able to open several bottles without hesitation. Other similar openers petered out quickly and lost torque. This works well with artificial and composite corks. The Secura works so well that I'm disappointed now when I'm confronted with a screwcap top instead.

Wonderful wine opener
Bought this bad boy for work. The reviews were either great or people were upset about the battery. Ive had it at work over a month now and opened 1000s of bottles of wine with ease with it. I give this thing raving live reviews. I havent had a cork break off or any cork in the bottles since i purchased it. If the motor had gone out after 100 bottled id have called it worth my money but its still working 1000s later. It does seem to be going a little slower and the charger base is getting a tad finicky but ill just order another happily when it does go out.

Very very nice for the price!
This is an honest review. I returned another bottle opener I got on a lightning deal. I selected this for the great reviews. Upon examining the package when I received it there were no solicitations for good product review, that means the reviews here are honest ones. It has a nice heft in your hand, good weight and balance and looks nice, not cheap. Very easy to set up. Looks exactly like the photos, attractive blue light and foil cutter mounts to the side not the bottle opener. The ONLY complain about this is the plug. Because the cord comes out the side you can only plug it in the bottom plug socket of your outlet. This is irritating because where I want to keep it the two bottom sockets are already taken. Other than that minor issue it is about perfect and the price is great.

Really nice little gadget
It does what it's supposed to do and looks really cool. The foil cutter is awesome as well. When not in use it makes a nice night light and conversation piece. With a decent manual corkscrew costing $10 it's not a big deal to spend $20 and not struggle with the tougher corks. An electric corkscrew is certainly not a necessity, and I like manual openers as well, but if you like gadgets or struggle with wine corks you will like the Secura SWO- 3N

Finally...I found the perfect electric wine bottle opener!
Very good so far! This is my third electric wine bottle opener. The first, an Oster, worked well for a long time but the plastic “grip” on the back became gummy so it left my hands sticky and black. Icky. Bought another brand (Ozeri) which lasted less than a year...just died. Bought this one because other Secura products have met or exceeded my expectations. I am pleased thus far. I like that it’s stainless steel without any plastic grips to get gummy with time. The opener seems powerful and retains strength for the entire opening process. The corkscrew enters the cork easily and drives in straight. The only less-than-desirable feature is that the foil cutter is not integrated into the opener as it was in the other two products I have purchased. Instead, it attaches separately to the base...which isn’t as convenient in my opinion. If the power remains as good and strong as it is, and it lasts a long time, I am very happy!

They both love it. My mom has arthritis pretty bad in ...
I bought this as a gift for both my mother and step mother on mothers day. They both love it. My mom has arthritis pretty bad in her hands but loves wine. This product saves her hands from having to grip and twist the cork bottle opener. You can have a bottle of wine opened in four seconds with this product. The foil remover is super spiffy too because no more sliding a knife carefully around the edge! Just place over the foil, grip together and twist in one motion. This is a great product and as soon as I'm not broke anymore I'm getting myself one.

Excellent wine opener
This electric cork puller is easy to use for anyone but a godsend for persons with arthritic hands. I have had it for a year or so and it has functioned flawlessly. The rechargeable battery pack has so far shown no signs of giving out, though someday it will and there appears to be no way to replace it.. The charging base with its blue light is (to me) elegant. The foil cutter that comes with it is ok but not special. Update 11/16/18: After 2 and 1/2 years, the battery has given out.

So far so good
I just got it yesterday and was excited to try it out. First it looks so cool with its blue light. The foil cutter is awesome, took a second and cut the foil perfectly. Next I simply centered the corkscrew in the middle of the cork, pressed the down button and voila the cork came out, push the up button and cork is removed from the bottle opener. Why didn't I get this before? As to how long it will last, time will tell but so far I love it and I'll probably buy more as gifts. Ok, so few months later, still works great and I bought about 4 more as gifts. All receipients love it!!

Great Cork Puller - Great Price
This opener replaces one that looked and worked virtually the same, that opener lasted for 3-4 years. A plastic bottom retainer ring broke on the previous opener, otherwise it was still pulling corks. This one seems to be slightly re-engineered at the area that the old one broke, so we have high hopes for it lasting even longer than the "old" one. I paid $19.99 for this unit and was tempted to pay more for hopefully "better" units that looked virtually the same (I wanted one that worked and looked like our old unit). Glad I didn't, this unit is exactly what I wanted. This unit sits in a stand, and the Power cord is always plugged into the stand. To use the old one, we had to unplug the opener. I like this arrangement better where the opener sits in the charging base, as I don't have to worry about whether the unit is charged or not, it sits in the holder and is charging with a nice blue nightlight. (Hopefully, the battery is not one that has a Memory effect that the constant charging will negatively impact the life.) My word to the wise is take a couple of seconds and try to get the corkscrew somewhat centered on the cork when activating. I have a feeling the "off center" pulling action is what broke our old one..... As a side comment, even the Foil Cutter works better and is mounted better than the one that came with the old puller.
