This pitcher is exactly what I was looking for! It has glass which is good for avoiding stains and chemicals. If you have kids it might not be ideal but otherwise it's great. The spout pours very easily and the handle is easy to manage. I use mine primarily for tea but it works good for other beverages as well. You can also place boiling water directly into it without any worry like you would have with plastic containers. The opening at the top is good enough size to easily fit my hand into for washing it. I tried a few different types at the local chain stores here but find this one to be my favorite. The lid also fits snug enough to prevent any liquid from coming out.

FINALLY ! ! ! I can boil a whole bunch of water and not worry about the container bursting - I don't like using plastic pitchers...The pitcher is very delicate, the glass is thin but I have filled it up and the pitcher held up to the weight as did the handle...My hand fits inside the pitcher, an important feature for me because I do not like using those sponges on a stick...I made tea with lemon this morning and took a picture - it's visually appealing as well...

Absolutely love this! Who knew you could love such a basic utilitarian everyday item. Almost overlooked best feature, because who needs to read instructions on a carafe? Obviously me lol! I was removing the metal lid insert initially when pouring versus just giving it a gentle touch to tip open lid. It almost imperceptible that lid is open after tipping, but beverages magically pour without drips. And much to my surprise, even works with beverages that have chia seeds (those protein & nutrient packed little seeds that help keep you hydrated). My favorite beverage is to dilute lemon or lime ade in water, about 1:4 and add a couple tablespoons of chia seeds (no, I don’t sell them). Shake when making and before before serving. Best when allowed to dissolve for a couple of hours before drinking. Anyhow, the carafe is easy to handle, attractive, and fits in fridge easily. Like it so much I’m buying a 2nd one. Update, my 2nd one has a lid that opens noticeably more when tilted than the first one purchased. So your lid may or may not be noticeably open when tilted open. Though both work great.

I have been looking for a pretty glass pitcher with a lid that would actually fit on the fridge shelf for a long time, so I was so glad to find this one. I am only on my second batch of iced tea, but so far I love it!

My 3rd pitcher. It's the best one for loose leaf tea. I make a pitcher of a tea and leave it for family or guest to help themselves. My guests always are impressed with this tea pitcher and asks where I got it from. They ultimately end up buying one. The fine mesh even holds back smallest of loose leaf tea. Just a simple and good functional large tea pitcher.

This glass carafe is perfect for my needs. I purify my red wines because I'm allergic to sulfites. I've purchased wines that are 85% sulfite free and then I found this carafe which is perfect for my purifier. This holds more than a 750 ml bottle of wine, but that's fine with me.

I recently broke the glass carafe to my, Eva-Cafe Solo (pictured above), coffee brewing system that I purchased 8 years ago through Groupon for $30. I was heart broken to find out that not only does the company not offer a replacement of just the carafe, a new system ranges from $90-$150! I saved the filter and spout components along with the sporty little wetsuit jacket to control brewing temperature on the off chance I could find a used one on eBay. No such luck. After scouring Amazon I finally found an adequate alternative that I settled on and put it in my cart. Lo and behold in the recommendations from Amazon based on that item was the HIWARE CARAFE. It's nearly identical to my Cafe Solo!! Only difference is as some others have noted that the glass is slightly thinner. Though, at this price I can buy 5 Hiware replacements over purchasing a new Cafe Solo. Only other kind of downside is that it's slightly larger than my original so the little neoprene cover doesn't fit this carafe. But larger carafe means more coffee which is never actually a bad thing.

Love the subtle design features. The metal top stays closed via gravity, but when you tilt the Carafe to pour, the lid opens by the liquid pushing against it, allowing a controlled pour. The stopper is held in place with a silicone-like material that stays in securely. The 50 oz size is generous enough that you don't need to keep refilling it but not so large to take up loads of space. The throat of the carafe is wide enough to allow a scrub brush to be inserted for a thorough cleaning which is important to me. The height of the container is also not to tall to have the base beyond the reach of the cleaning brush. Extremely pleased with the size, design and utility of this product! Absolutely love it.

Larger than expected, holds a lot of water. I use it at my bedside.

Like many other reviewers, I was surprised that it holds the 64oz it says it does. It just simply looks too small. Yes, the glass is thin, bus is comfortable to use, without adding too much weight. I have arthritis in my hands, so that is a big plus. My only complain (hence 4 instead of 5 stars) is the pour spout is too shallow. It does take a bit of time for the water to come out. This fits nicely in the door of my refrigerator, and looks nice on my kitchen counter where it spends most of the day as I empty it. Except for the shallow spout, I am delighted with it, and even bought one for my sister.
