RAVPower 26800 mAh Portable Battery review
This is my first purchase of any product from this brand and I will hopefully give an unbiased review. At first I thought I'd only use this battery pack for travel purposes, but I've found myself constantly carrying it with me. Long gone are the days where I had to constantly find outlets to charge phones or tablets. I was able to charge my phone from drained to 100% about 2.5 times which is just as advertised. It charges at a very fast rate. Even with my phone powered on and in constant use. When I saw that the cables came with the battery, I was worried that they would be the first to go. But they are actually quality built flat cables which don't tangle and are pretty solid. After numerous trips and getting jostled around in my bag, I am glad to say they still function and look brand new. One is an 8" cable while the other is 2' cable. They aren't the longest but I don't think they need to be. The battery can be used as a pass through, but it increases the battery charge time if the device getting charged is plugged into the 2.4 or 2.1 slots. The blue LED display lights are great. When powered on, it will cycle through all 4 lights and then turn off any lights according to roughly how much battery is left. When charging all four battery lights will brighten and until the battery reaches a teir and then remain on to show how much battery life is available for use. The instructions that come packaged with the product don't really explain much, but it should be pretty self explanatory. To power off the battery to concerve energy, hold the button down for about 2 seconds until all four lights come on and then gradually power down. Press the button again to power on and view remaining charges or simply plug in a device and it will power up by itself and begin charging your device if there is enough of a charge to do so. There are 4 ports located along the front side of the device, three USB ports and one micro USB port. The USB ports are labeled 1A, 2.1A, 2.4A. These denote the maximum output available for each slot. Although the general rule of thumb for Amps for devices was 1A for phones and 2.1A for tablets, quick charging has more or less changed that. Companies have begun to implemented a variable charge technique which can boost phone charging rates up to 2A (however this is only works up to about 50% battery life and then throttle back down to 1A for the remainder). This works only if your phone is designed to handle the quick charge. All three of these USB ports are all iSmart port meaning if it will determine the highest amount of Amps your device can handle making it safe to plug your phone into the 2.4A port and not have to worry about the phone battery exploding or not charging at all. The micro USB port is the batteries charging port. Just plug it into your phone charger's or any USB wall charger to recharge the battery. It is quite convenient if your phone requires a micro USB to charge as it mean carrying around less cables. Is it big? Yes and no. It is about the same size as a phablet (iPhone 6 Plus, Note 5). But about an 1" thick at its widest part and pretty hefty. Not exactly pocket-able. But should be fine in a purse/murse. Definitely something to take with you for travel. TBA shouldn't have any problems with allowing you to bring this aboard in your carry on. I beleive the rules state that all batteries must be placed in carry-on luggage. After hunting online for portable battery chargers, I just couldn't find a better deal than this one with the specs that it has. I was sceptical of the brand as I was unfamiliar with it, but after having it in hand and using for trips and everyday use, I am pleased to with this purchase. TL;DR: if you are in the market for a high capacity battery with fast charging and don't mind the size, this is one of if not the best out there.

A great product that meets and exceeds expectation
What’s not to like. Charge up multiple devices on the go. 12 month warranty and the design is excellent! The power bank does not feel clunky, uneven or made of cheap materials. The outer layer finish is sleek and has a nice smooth texture that feels durable with a level of scratch resistant. The ports are strong when plugging in device cables to charge the devices and the included mesh padded carrying case is a nice complement to a sophisticatedly engineered power component. If you are looking for mobile charging power in your professional career or for on-the-go status in general, this is the product to have to compliment your needs. Huge battery life! Charges smartphones to full capacity quickly. As a photographer having access to power to charge up my equipment is essential. I can’t get by without it. The Ravpower extreme series gives me backup power when I need it most for all my devices and gear. Great gift idea for those looking for convenience.

Holds lots of power, charges from diverse sources, and charges devices like Surface 3 very well. Good for extreme fieldwork.
This portable charger saved me during fieldwork in remote parts of Africa. It can charge off of many different kinds of solar setups and a car battery inverter. It does not charge quickly, but the amount of charge it holds is well worth the long charging time. I used it to recharge two different kinds of tablets - an old ASUS that is probably not even being sold any more, and a Surface 3. In both cases the charger was able to charge the tablet at the same time the tablet was running. This was terrific because it turned out that my ASUS tablet was NOT able to charge directly from the solar rig. If not for the RAVPower pack, there would have been no way to charge some of these tablets, which would have put me in terrible shape for data collection! It seemed like it held enough juice for two charges of the ASUS, and maybe slightly less than two full charges of the Surface S3. I found it useful to have two of these: One could sit in camp, charging, while the other was with me during my day of fieldwork. The next day I would swap the two so I was never without power. All in all I could not be more pleased. Also these held up fine in the ultra-hot conditions of Lake Turkana, where temperatures routinely exceed 100 degrees. Sure, I tried to put them in protected parts of my bag, but other electronics have not held up so well as the RAVPower did. I am recommending this to all my other friends in field archaeology who need a dependable device under difficult conditions.

Durable, Long Lasting Charger! Perfect for any Adventure
I purchased this battery pack for a 48 day Cross-US bicycle tour (from Seattle to Boston), where I knew I'd be without electricity for days at a time. This portable charger exceeded my expectations and outperformed any device that companion cyclists were using on their journeys. I used the battery pack to charge my Apple iPad and iPhone 6s - the iPhone which needed to be charged almost every night. The battery pack charged these devices at a fairly decent speed. The battery pack took quite a few hours however, to reach full charing capacity (so I'd just leave it plugged in over night when I had the chance). That said, I really didn't have to charge the battery pack very often, which became sort of a running joke between myself and the other cyclists I was riding with - we just couldn't believe how long this device lasted... sometimes weeks at a time)! Couldn't have been happier with the portable charger and look forward to using it in the future.

Buy this unit and not the upgraded model if you want plug-n-play
Buy this unit and not the upgraded model if you want plug-n-play. This unit is amazing. Oodles of power. Perfect for long car trips with kids and fishing trips (no-kids). Re-charges quickly, drains slowly while charging multiple cell phones and in it's charged state lasts forever. Charges immediately and automatically upon connecting to whatever you're charging. As I see in reviews the updated, upgraded model to this one requires you to push button to start charging. No Bueno. Previously I owned another make/model of big charger prior to this one and it too was push to start. Hated that feature. Very annoying when trying to charge something while I was away or over a long period of time or something that needed to stay topped off at 100%. Rock solid. No rattles. Built like a tank. Great finish on the external of case. Comes with a short flat micro USB (use this for the fastest charging) and a long flat USB cable, pouch and extended warranty/product registration. Unbelievably worth the price. Very, very happy customer. I will use this for a long time.

Going to go ahead and give this a 5 star rating. It comes with -Power bank -2 USB cords one short and one medium -1 slightly protective mesh bag The package was super clean and neatly separated and organized. It was clean and I really appreciate the matte coating. Takes fingerprints and scratches well. It came out of the box with a near full charge and I am happy with that. Looking forward to taking it to work tomorrow. I feel like I won't be running for the outlet anymore during crunch time and that's the point isn't it? Not needing to stare at the battery meter of your phone debating and gambling on if you need to charge mow or wait till later. All in all I am very happy with this unit.

Impressive ability to charge multiple devices quickly while using only a fraction of it's own stored power.
UPDATE: I've had this charger about 8 months now and just wanted to inject a quick update. If I could give this Bank 10 stars I would. It has saved me untold times as my cellphone battery died at the worst possible times. The capacity is incredible and the charge of the Bank itself stays stable much longer and at the ready than I imagined possible. I love my Google Pixel C tablet as well but it amazingly deletes it's battery after just a few days of standby even with the keyboard affixed which is supposed to recharge the tablet. This Power Bank also rescues the tablet. The charge seems to be equally rapid as if it was plugged into a wall socket. In short, after 8 months of use I recommend this charger even more! I actually just purchased a second unit so I can keep them in two different locations. Original review: I wanted a charger with a higher capacity due to carrying multiple devices that always seem to be draining more quickly than anticipated. After a few months of use I really have to say this has been remarkable. It charges or tops off my phones and tablets as quickly as if it was plugged into the wall and keeps it's own charge much longer than I imagined so it's always ready to do it's job. I was amazed after charging two devices simultaneously a few days ago that it had only depleted the charger itself just one star. (There are four tiny blue LEDS that display the degree of charge when you push a button. I bought several smaller chargers the las few years, but although this is a little larger to haul around, it's seems to be the only charger I carry and use almost daily. Couldn't be more enthusiastic. Highly recommended.

Higher battery capacity... less worries!
We all seem to have issues with battery life on our mobile devices, my issue was that I would use my iphone 5 for 30-60 minutes and my battery would run down from 100% to 20% within this time. I had two choices, buy a new battery or buy a portable power supply. I went for the latter as I really, really needed to upgrade my phone. So, after exhaustive research, I chose the RAVPoer 26800mah portable charger. It has been one of the best purchases I have made in some time. It has three USB ports of varying power , which also means you can charge three devices simultaneously. It's not too big and not too heavy and I tend to take it everywhere I go. What it did for me? Well, for the iphone 5, I basically didnt actually have to plug it into a wall outlet for almost a week, I guess due to its (iphone 5) power consumption, it actually means that the RAVpower can charge it full more than 10 times. Now, just to test things out, I have also used it on my Samsung S7 Edge and on my ipad air, since purchasing it, I have actually only had to recharge it twice. I also exercise and use a Beats Pill, as much as beats says it has 6-8 hours battery life... it really doesn't, so, I used the RAVPower to keep this and my S7 Edge charged simultaneously while I work out and both stayed at 100% for the entire 2.5 Hour workout while using only 1 battery level/dot. I have to say, I have never had a power supply in the past, but, if I would definitely buy another one. It has a nice sleek, clean design, has a nice, simple carrying case and works well... so far. I look forward to taking it on my European trip (Northern Europe to North Africa) next month to test its endurance and true potential.

Dependable power. Own 3 RAVPowers now
This is a 2nd entry since I own 3 RAVPowers now. I don't often give product reviews, so this is something of an exception. Before purchasing, I researched portable power banks for a while before making a purchase decision. I first picked up one of RavPower's smaller chargers, also from Amazon, and gave that to my daughter before a trip to Japan. It kept its charge, would quickly charge her phone and her friend's phone while out and about during the day, and worked out well for them. Over the course of the next year, the product has continued to hold its charge, charge cell phones and DSLR batteries, and I had no issues. Based upon that, I bought 2 more RavPower charges and have taken them all over North America and South America. These RAVPower chargers have never failed us and are still working out well. I am about to go into my other purchases and provide similar feedback.
