Put bushing on a 2010 Jeep Rubicon. The bushing popped out after a day but I realized it was never out on all the way. Pushed back in completely and now a month later I have not had an issue. The dealership will definitely explain to you that the entire cable will need to be changed instead of just the bushing. The cable is around $130 and if you have them install it's up around $600. Jeep doesn't make the cable. It's contracted out by a third party this is why Jeep won't replace the single part. Logistics have to order the part as a whole. Unfortunately that means you have to buy the entire piece for a small failure. It is the equivalent of buying a new axle because you got a flat tire. Just buy this and install it. Save a ton of money. the location sucks but install took all of 2 minutes.

Used on my 2008 Jeep Wrangler 2 door. The reason it was not easy to install is that on this model it is in a very tight spot. I ended up using some plumbing silicone grease to ease it in. I know it said warranted but just to be safe ordered a second one. Since I camp a lot a tow my Jeep (a lot of campers tow a jeep )Maybe I can help some one else out in a bind. This is my second jeep that had this problem. Thanks BushingFix.com Also thanks for answering and being so helpful. :)

This product is awesome. At first i couldnt figure out why it was more expensive than just ordering the bushing from the dealer. I bought it anyway because i needed to get my jeep back on the road asap and delivery of this item was faster than anywhere else without having to get a second job to pay for shipping cost. Thanks Amazon! Once it got here I fumbled with it, watched the installation video on youtube and realized why this piece cost more. It saves you the headache of trying to fit the pushing into the opening on the lever. I literally installed this in less than 20 seconds and had the jeep up and running again. Note: From what I've read it appears these bushings are prone to fail and your vehicle is out of commission until the part arrives. I will likely buy another to have on hand as i plan to keep my jeep for years more. This same thing happened to a buddy of mine a year ago and he said the dealer charged him $600. He was very aggravated because he knew the part cost less than $20. I didn't understand what he was talking about until it happened to me.

Worked great to fix my 2010 Jeep 4 door Wrangler. Snug/tight fit but once it’s on it’s was good to go. Still it’s kinda expensive for a piece of plastic smaller then a nickel but it did save me from replacing the whole cable.

Did not install as of yet due to buying a different part which did not exactly fit (https://www.amazon.com/Dorman-14057-Replacement-Transmission-Bushing/dp/B00JW1VXTK/ref=ya_od_pd_dx_gc_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00JW1VXTK&pd_rd_r=90e69a8d-c281-4557-9a49-33646f79ac5d&pd_rd_w=b4JT8&pd_rd_wg=FiS4Z&psc=1&refRID=PVNP5B17RBSKH8HF83JR). Did struggle to install the orange set which was made for a ford that worked. I am keeping the bushing TB1KIT9 for emergency incase the other one fails.

Yes, this bushing fixed my transmission linkage problem. As most have probably found out, you cannot order a bushing from the Jeep dealer. (not enough profit in it) The video that shows how to install it (Jeep) is deceiving. The model depicted in the video is different than mine or the video took place on a work bench, not under the vehicle. I managed to install it and thought I had it secured. I went the next day to play a round of golf and the linkage can loose. I climbed under the vehicle and noticed the bushing was still inside the linkage arm. I went on and finished my golf game, climbed back under the Jeep and reconnect it. This got me home, but after the Jeep cooled, I got back underneath, removed the bushing and with an alternate method, I replaced the bushing and the linkage. I felt better about the way the bushing went into the linkage arm and it has been fine since. I have had it on for approximately one month and it is working great.

Works great on fixing the shift cable on my 2014 dodge dart. Way cheaper than buyimg the part from the dealer. A bit of a PITA to install do to the location but with basic tools and patience it can be done.

This saved us hours of work pulling apart the dash to replace a transmission cable. It has been installed and working for two months now with no problems. Thank you for a quick fix relatively inexpensive. Comes with great videos for installation. Saved $400 that the dealer wanted to replace a transmission cable.

Thisis what America is all about, coming up with a better solution! The shift cable on my 2007 Jeep broke and after some research came across this part. After receiving it, less then a minute later I was driving my Jeep again. I'm going to order a few spares to keep in my glovebox. The price was great!

The model TB1KIT9 fit our 2006 Isuzu Ascender (same as a Chevy Trailblazer) perfectly. Took about 4 minutes to install. Make sure you are installing the bushing in the right direction - a diagram is included to make the easy, but it does make a HUGE difference. Also, you may want a simple pair of pliers to squeeze the bushing into the hole completely before attaching it back to the transmission shift linkage. Saved a ton of money with this small plastic part. Totally not worth $26, and yet completely worth $26 at the same time.
