Excellent for Cosplay Builds
Use this for cosplay building. Using plasti dip before painting and it holds up great. I recommend investing in a high quality heat gun and hot knife. The foam is very forgiving and small cuts will seal up.

Cosplay
I use this for Cosplay costuming. Works very well for armor design. Holds up to spray paint and plasti dip well.

Unintended use - baby puzzle play mat alternative
Disclaimer: Used for unintended purpose. We bought two packages of the foam puzzle pieces to use in our baby's play area. I realize this isn't the intended use, but they sell very similar products (in obnoxious pastels ProSource Kids Puzzle Alphabet, Numbers, 36 Tiles and Edges Play Mat, 12" by 12") for babies/toddlers. I liked the vibrant blue color from BalanceForm, so we decided to try these out. The density is similar/identical to the baby versions, and they're working out great!

GREAT FOR GYMS AND HOME RECORDING STUDIOS!
I've bought these for my gym, but, I actually found another great use for these. I am a drummer, guitarist, song writer, and turned one of our bedrooms into a studio. Well, in creating a studio, not only did I want to protect the natural hardwood floors in the room, but I knew these would work great to soundproof the floor and I was right. So, I got 6 of these, and covered the entire floor. That alone helped deaden the sound/echo. Very easy to cut to size. My wife could notice a huge difference in the sound that came through the floor to the living room! So, not only am I protecting the hardwood floor (especially for the drum-set) I'm getting soundproofing coverage as well!

Definitely recommended!
These worked great! I bought 3 of them (so 18 tiles total) and created the gym space in the basement. I used them the same day, not knowing how sturdy they would have been while jumping on them, for example, and I was pleased with the result! UPDATE: I'm happy to report that after 5 months of heavy use they still rock. They got a little loose in a couple junction spots, but nothing major really, they never separated, and I love that you can always add or remove pieces to fit your needs. They are really good quality, I highly recommend them.

Durable and Cleanable
I use these mats for inside my tent when I go camping. This way, the bottom tarp of the tent is protected, and the tent itself doesn't get nearly as dirty. Despite the abuse I put these through with mud, water, dirt, rocks, and so on and so forth, they have held up remarkably well and are super easy to clean. They don't take up much space when you store them, they're light, and they're durable. I highly recommend this product if you want to put this in your garage, tent, workout room, or anywhere else you need to protect your floor!

These are very good mats - In use for two months so far in home gym
We bought 1/2" thick mats in blue and black to cover our gym floor. So far so good, they are holding up exceptionally well. They are a little too fragile to drag large gym equipment around on, i.e. treadmill, elliptical etc so move carefully. We were careful and had no damage positioning the equipment but would definitely of had if we'd rushed it. Obviously, heavy equipment will leave a dent. They have a really good firm spongy feel to them when walking on and doing floor work on, I am liking them more than the floor workout mat I used to use. I wear sneakers while working out and they are not leaving marks or damaging them. We read that the colors are not consistent so decided to order a mix and create a pattern, so any changes would be less noticeable. However, for the 200'ish tiles we ended up with they colors looked just fine, so I don't think that would have been an issue if we wanted to do solid. They link together very well, I think we had just two tiles that seemed very slightly thicker than the rest, so simply used those ones where they would not show. All in all, a very good mat for the money. We are very pleased with them so far.

Excellent support for back, joints when doing exercise.
I ordered two sets of these squares for indoor walking. Since I have : Hypermobile Ehler's Danlos disease; 3 ruptured discs ( pretty much healed; And Fibromyalgia, I was look for a way to protect my back and joints when walking. And if I do not take basic precautions, I get injuries. So, I researched memory foam types. As only the closed cell ones seem to help me in shoes, etc. I have been using these to walk inside on days I do not walk outside. And I am very satisfied with them! I DO wish they were waterproof, but that was a detail I missed. I believe they have saved me a number of injuries. Most people with my diagnoses do not exercise, as it can hurt a lot. However, reviewing the medical research, and talking to my MD ( in general, ) I am fining ways to exercise which help and do not hurt me. I plan to tell my excellent Rheumatologist about these squares. As he has many other patients they could be useful to. Careful exercise ( water, at times; walking; Pilates; and toning; as well as light weights, ) is a major component of multimodal treatment for chronic pain. As well as with my disease HEDS; when one exercises then your joints stop dislocating! I loce exercise, but have had to lay off due to injuries before. ( Then I use RICE, as well as sitting toning/ strength exercise. ). For example, several years ago I had a torn medial meniscus ( knee cartridge, right knee. ). They MDs recommended arthroscopy. However, folks with my disease do not usually benefit from such surgery. The X-Rays are MRI also showed I have NO OSTEOARTHRITIS. ( My guess is due to excellent shoes/ orthotics. ). Well, I spent a week studying the research on torn meniscus versus PT, long term outcomes. For middle aged folks both were equal ( short term, ). But long term those who underwent the surgery had severe Osteoarthritis in that knee. And it took some effort and patience, but the knee finally healed. My Dad ( an MD, ) once told me any muscle you had built before 40 you could later build up again. This seems to be true, but I do believe that those with physical problems should be careful when they exercise.

Good buy!
Product arrived packaged well and as described. It adds a nice cushion in my work out area and comes with more than enough edge pieces to finish all of the sides. The entire mat slid a bit over the hardwood and even on carpet, but nothing that a little bit of carpet tape underneath didn’t fix. For the price, I’d definitely recommend.

The density is good and easy to cut while the thickness is consistent ...
First this is for cosplay armor not floor covering. The density is good and easy to cut while the thickness is consistent 9/16. There are small pits throughout all of the pieces but not as deep as other foam mats I’ve built with. These mats do have a better solid surface then HF. Costco brand is pretty equivalent but there limited supply makes it difficult to find. I’d say out of 1-5 Harbor freight 2(cheap tho) Costco 4, balancefrom 4.5 (these one). All in all for the cost I’d say these are good, a 5 would probably be TNTcosplay since there foam is for cosplay but to expensive. As for work out mats these would be good and they don’t smell!
