1st let me say I have a foot phobia. I don't even like my own feet to touch my legs in my sleep if I have calloused heels. I have tried everything that makes big promises! This is amazing!! I just got it & couldn't wait to try it. If your heels are very calloused I would not try to remove it all at one time. Remove some and apply foot cream and socks, then do more the next night. We did not get calloused in one day. I got the extra course & I'm getting ready to order some refills. For those of us that like a pedicure often, this is so worth the cost.

I am a a guy with some serious thick cracked skin and callouses on my feet I read many reviews on several of these different skin removers. Many had issues. Rechargeable batteries quit holding charge, not powerful enough, stop spinning with pressure ect. This one uses regular batteries and has plenty of power. You do not want one with more power. I'm serious. I got this one with the roughest stone. I started working on my cracked heels and after about 15 mins I had to go get bandaids because I had already taken off too much in a couple of spots. Guys, don't overdo it like I did. Just take s little off at a time over several days. This thing is taking off more than you think. This one works well. I recommend it.

By far one of the best foot gadgets I have ever purchased. I have to file with a coarse file on a daily basis or callouses build up quickly. It is a thorn in my side to do this, not anymore! I used a slow side to side motion which seemed to work best for me. Love Amope'!

I have held off on buying this because I always thought other than doing the elbow work for you..is this really different than a regular foot file? To be honest, I still don't know if it's THAT much different when you really get down to it. I mean, the motor isn't that powerful, and you can't really apply much pressure or it will stop the rotation. But I think that not having to do the actual filing along with the extra coarse roller file, is the key. I am able to concentrate on the worst spots for lengthy amounts of time if need be. I got this yesterday and my feet were in really rough shape(I'm talking sheet snagging shape) and now they're super smooth. The irony and hilarity that when fired up this thing sounds like my grandfather's professional sander, is not lost on me. So far I've done 3 15 minute sessions and I feel like once I get my feet into tip top shape, this will be more like a weekly maintenance type of thing. Last night I went to bed without any socks and I snagged appx 0 sheets!! It was so nice. The only thing I'm still dealing with is that the parts of my feet that I stand on the most, while smooth are still hard. Does that makes sense? It's not dry prickly skin, and it's not rough..its just hard spots. However I feel like once I start putting on lotion and socks for bedtime, those hard spots will start softening up really quick. Heads up!!! If you have anything other than dainty, only slightly rough feet, get the extra coarse version!!

I read through alot of the reviews before deciding to purchase my Amope and I gotta say I am truly happy with my purchase!! I used it right away and the results were awesome!! Yes there is alot of dead skin that comes off so I suggest doing it over a towel but that's the whole point of using this product. Some reviews said that it stopped working with too much pressure but you don't have to use alot of pressure you just simply glide it over your heel, side of foot, all over and it does the work for you. I also read that their were fakes out there but I made it a point to purchase mine directly from Amazon and again am happy with my product!! I would definitely recommend this prouct for those who wear sandals and want nice soft feet and can't afford to pay pedicure prices every 2-3 weeks.

This thing works! My feet are in terrible shape - I'm too embarrassed to go get a pedicure because my feet are so rough. I bought this foot file as a last, desperate measure to make some headway in getting my feet to feel smooth again. Well, this thing does the trick! I find it works best if I do a bit at a time, go over the areas for about 10 minutes or so just before bedtime and then apply lotion and put on socks. I wake up to MUCH smoother feet. After doing this for a few weeks, I can truthfully say that my feet look and feel 1000% better. I will have to order refill filers at some point, but right now it's working fine.

I have really deep, dry cracks in my heels from not wearing socks/wearing sandals often (live in the desert) that have never gone away, in spite of using a PediEgg to file off dead skin. I used this for a while on each heel, and it made them really smooth, probably because it's motorized as opposed to filing by hand; it has helped to reduce the severity of the deep cracks. I recommend using this product, then moisturizing the areas and putting small socks on for a few hours/overnight. I've been using lotion and then wearing NatraCure Vented Moisturizing Gel Heel Sleeves (also bought on Amazon). I'm hoping if I do this several times a week my heels will be more or less "normal" as opposed to severely dry/cracked. I recommend giving it a try with this product.

You know your heels are bad when your boyfriend comments on them. I bought this yesterday and after 10-15 minutes of using it, IT CHANGED MY LIFE. where has this been!!!

I’ve been walking around barefoot a lot lately, and between that and this terrible dry winter, my feet have gotten pretty bad, with thick dry calloused skin that has started cracking. I’d like to go get a pedicure, but this is beyond what a pedicure can take care of. I came onto amazon looking for one of those $5 foot scrubbers, but read the reviews for this and decided to give it a try, and I’m very glad I did. Also, I’m very glad I ordered the “extra course” one - if you’re feet are bad enough to need this, just go straight to extra course. I was afraid it might be too coarse for me, but it’s not at all - if anything, it could still stand to be more coarse. Don’t worry about it hurting you - I’ve used it on my two year old old daughter (not that she needs it, she just wants to use what mommy uses), and it doesn’t hurt her at all. As others have mentioned, this is not an immediate fix. This sander grinds the skin down gradually - it’s going to take multiple sessions to get those soft feet back. That said, my first session was probably about 30-45 minutes (both feet), and while I still have a ways to go, my feet feel so much better. And it’s actually kind of relaxing to sand them - it certainly doesn’t hurt at all. So sit in front of the TV (turn up the volume, cause this thing is loud), find something to collect all the dust, and sand away!

She has very bad and painful callous' on her feet. She used to cut them with a nail clipper, to the point where she'd. Leave holes where the callous used to be (not bleeding or injuring herself, it was used so deep and hard she had to get it out.) this machine has made it so much easier for her to maintain her feet. Shes tried the original hand grater methods like the pedegg, but they didnt have the effect she wanted. She's enjoyed this, and used it so much she ran through the batteries within a few weeks (will keep an eye on battery life and update/edit my review if the batter life turns out to be poor.) She grinds them dry, and wet after soaking, and her feet look better, and her pain is virtually gone. Will definitely buy again if needed, and have already recommended to a bunch of friends.
