• Holds skis and snowboards securely with ultra-soft rubber arms that grip without scratching the surfaces
  • Safely carries thicker modern skis and snowboards, and reduces the carrier height when unloaded due to the integrated vertical spring system
  • Easy to open and close while wearing gloves, thanks to an oversized push button
  • Added roof clearance for skis with tall bindings, thanks to included extension feet that raise the carrier
  • Fits directly into the load bars’ T-tracks via the integrated, tool-free mounting hardware

Bought this pair for my wife's 2014 Ford Flex with Thule AeroBlades. Works great! Decided to use the included clamps for easy on/off during seasonal changeovers. The more permanent direct-mount options uses the included T-shaped bolts for sliding into the aluminum extrusion of the AeroBlades but doing so requires cutting sections out of the rubber inserts on the bars. I like the rubber inserts being complete as they help to hold lumber and ladders in place during the summer months (with straps of course). Removing the T bolts would be pretty easy but the rubber inserts would have multiple 4" sections cut out of them. Thus, I used the clamps instead. Took me 20 minutes to figure this out and install them. These, like all ski racks, make a bit of noise at highway speed but that is to be fully expected whenever you put anything on the roof of a car, even a "flying brick" like the Flex. As others have commented; the latch release is very easy to use with gloved hands. Grateful that the (4) locks and (2) keys were also included in the package. Fits perfectly and as advertised. Gives my family of 4 room to bring a friend or 2 (skiers only need apply). Will also fit across the roof of my 2010 Subaru Outback if I want to clamp them to some factor bars instead; versatile! Easy directions, just take a moment to read them through completely on the first try then you'll realize there are three possible mounting scenarios and which section to refer to. All icons, no words but that works for me. Highly recommended, great quality and everything you need all in on package, same as the Aerobars!

This ski rack is very easy to install, especially if you already have cross bars that include the T-lock track in them (I have the Thule WingBar Edge). It only took me about 15 minutes by myself to put this up on my car’s roof. The extension aspect of this ski rack is what had me sold. I didn’t want to have to step up onto my car in order to load/unload my gear. The extensions are super easy to operate and make loading/unloading a breeze. The matte black color is also a very nice touch since it goes along with my car’s color scheme. I highly recommend. I have 2 snowboards (side-by-side) and 1 pair of skis in the pictures shown. In order to fit more than 2 snowboards, the additional boards will need to be inverted and stacked under the right-side-up boards. There should be enough clearance from the car’s roof with the roof rack + ski rack to do this but I haven’t yet tried or had the need to do so.

This is by far the best ski rack I have ever owned. These are fantastic. They are large, they are engineered extremely well, very easy to install, and work perfectly. First installation. Really quite easy. The hardest part was pushing the rubber back onto the frame, after pulling it back in order to install the bolts. But the instructions were spot on, and it came with enough extra parts that I expect it would be able to be installed in a variety of cars. Took about 20 minutes to install, which is great, as I expected to struggle, on top of the car. Once on, it looks good and is very stable. Thick rubber to keep the skis secure when closed. My favorite element is the spring loaded hinge on the far side. Hard to explain, but it's not a fixed hinge, so if you have thick skis on the far side, that side stretches up, so that it is not keeping the close side from closing or securing the skis on this side. This works extremely well. Once closed, you can push down to keep it closed, with a ratchet-style closing mechanism, to really get things secure. And then lock it with the key, which locks it both closed, and onto the car. When taking things off, unlock, and push the button and it pops open. We put 4 sets of skis and 4 sets of poles on ours with no issues/space problems. I installed on my Odyssey minivan, that had cross bars. These are required for installation, or some sort of crossbar. I think there is some Thule mounting system that goes with this if you dont have cross bars.

Works perfectly! My husband always loads the skis into the rack because he is a tad bit taller than, I making it much easier for him to rather than myself

This carrier had plenty of space for all four, two of which are wide, snowboards we took up to the mountains. It sits high enough that the bindings need not be removed and the locking mechanism, while unable to provide absolute theft deterrence at least adds enough of process that most won’t bother as well as providing the reassurance that the clamp won’t accidently come open while driving. I really appreciate the versatility that the kit comes with for different styles/mounts of cross bars and the fact that even at its “maximum capacity” It safely and securely held our gear. Even at 65mph (recommended Max speed according to the manual) with moderately gusty winds everything held up great. Biggest downfall as mentioned in other comments is the manual. While they depict what should happen and give your torque values for the mounting hardware, there is a level of ambiguity that comes with them especially if you have never installed a roof carrier or similar product. A few more descriptions here and there or broken up sections would help clear things up. Otherwise a highly recommended product.

Thule is a great brand. The snowboard rack is solid. Definitely fits 4 snowboards (me and my buddy are both over 6 feet and have large boards, our wives are average). Great product!

I used to have the previous generation of this rack and I must say this one is way better. The release button is more substantial and easier to hit with bulky gloves on. The T-track system is far better than the old strap system. The latch itself is much more robust than the old version. And to top it off it looks much better.

This ski rack took me less than 15 minutes to install on my SUV. It looks great if your SUV is black and blends in well with amazing quality. The keys/locks insure your skis/snowboards won’t be stolen. As well as the rack itself, just make sure you always have it locked. Even if there’s nothing in it. This thing holds up well and 80+ mph, and the good thing is your boards and skis will be clean by the time you’re home.

replaced an older Thule rack. I really like the sliding feature which lets me get all the skis on my suv without the need for running boards on the side of my car. Very easy mounting system also lets me take the rack off pretty easily. This rack does make much more wind noise in my car compared to my last rack. Not sure if this is due to the rack or the new car. Either way, I am very happy with the quality.

I'm very happy with this ski rack. It's very sturdy and easy to install. I'm glad I chose the six ski carrier, the four ski rack would have been too small for my needs. Be aware, upon arrival from Amazon the first thing I did notice was that the actual box the rack came had been open, I noticed the three pieces of tape had been cut. When I removed the rack to inspect, to my surprise there was a very noticeable dent on top of one of the racks. It functioned perfectly but I just had to return it for a new one because it was bugging me.
