The only thing I have disliked is the embroidery program you can not do anyrhing ...
So far loving it. The only thing I have disliked is the embroidery program you can not do anyrhing with it you actually have to buy a separate program to be able to actually do some good designs.

All in all very happy!!
I have only embroidered with it once and loved it! I have mostly been sewing with this machine so far! So much easier to use than my old machine!! This is the 1st time I've ever had a machine that will thread the needle and will never own another that doesn't!! The only problem I have had is with the memory stick, I can't get this to print the pages from my computer as it says!! I will have to contact someone for help with that!!

I love my legacy it is perfect
I love my legacy it is perfect! Sews great, it’s quiet and fast. I have not used the embroidery part of the machine yet, I can’t wait to put it to use. This machine is everything, It is a great help with my business and making my projects look more professional.

Great
It need Programing to work but I like it it works for small designs as patches and letters and you can sew with it. If you like to learn you can learn from YouTube because there are many helpful videos.

A versatile and full featured compact embroidery/sewing machine in the under $1000 price range
My review here for the Singer SE30 is going to be based first impressions and a few weeks experience for what is still a new machine to me and I thus am still in the familiarization process. with all of its features as well as learning to set it up properly for all that is is designed to do. In time, probably late Spring or early summer, with many more hours on this machine at that point, I’ll update this review with more accurate perspectives having spend more time using it. Additionally, time did not allow for spending a large block of hands-on using the usb and computer connection, so that as well, will be added at the next update for my review. (Amazon VINE only give s30 days to review a product from the date of receipt and often, if the product requires in-depth use and many features to be evaluated, 30 days is far from enough time to allow a full review initially). I won’t list all of the SE300 features here since amazon does and you can go to Singers website and visit the product page and even view the manual there! Just Google “Singer SE300 manual” and you’ll see the link! All the info you need is at the Singer web site. We own or have owned Singers, Berninas, Brothers and Janomes here. My wife, the quilter and seamstress of over 45 years (who welcomingly looked over my shoulder here to offer her input and skilled observations) owns a very high end Janome sewing and embroidery machine. She also has her trusty and old Bernini of 20 years of age in her sewing area. (in summary for her opinion, she considered the SE300 a very nice and robust machine for its selling price at Amazon!). Out of the box, the Singer is packaged extremely well and protected from shock and any rough shipping. With hands on it and checking the controls, sturdiness of body shell and parts and its exterior finish, it is clearly well made and solidly constructed. One thing missing that I feel it should come with or at least be offered as an accessory at additional cost is a hard cover for it. Considering the exposed machine is not protected at all and for those who want to travel or transports it, a hard outer top cover really should be available. Singer, are you reading this?! We’ve owned a Brother embroidery machine that was made for embroidery only with no sewing capability and honestly, we did not keep it for long. We found that an embroidery-only machine ends up setting un-used much more often since it is sewing tasks that (at least here) come up most often. Singer does not skimp here in what comes with this machine. foot pedal of course plus the embroidery snap-on base, 2 hoops, a large assortment of feet, needles, small basic sewing tools, and a printer manual. The manual is detailed and the 58 pages of the english section (it is bilingual), is abundant in information for setup, use and troubleshooting. There’s some machines out there for a few hundred dollars less that still require you to buy some of the extras as accessories that are included with this machine. Setup and learning is probably the biggest frustrating part of the process for any newbie or even an accomplished sewer/embroider who has a new machine. Often, bad experiences and poor satisfaction of a new machine is only due to inexperience using it and not due to a faulty machine at all. When you buy mail-order or on-line, one thing you don’t get that you do from buying at a local dealer is being able to walk in with your new machine and asking for help, or even better at some places; getting a full tutorial and free classroom included if you buy locally. Sure, warranty work is fully supported, but, don’t expect a local retailer to spend lots of time with you on a machine you did not buy from them. That’s not fair nor should there be any surprise if they tell you to contact the place you bought it from if you’re having issues or want some “training”. Given a sizable discount on any mail-order product, sewing/embroidery machines included, you then have to weigh out savings over service and the lack local assistance,…sometimes. The SE300 handled basic sewing and see test embroidery just fine. It did take some tweaking and finding out what I’d been doing wrong for setup. Thread tension, especially in embroidery is a challenge for getting it right so the stick and thread (upper and lower stitches, thread and bobbin) “mesh just right to yield a nice tight stick that works well. Backing of course on most any embroidery machine is an absolute requirement. The auto-threading and auto-tension features of this machine worked admirably. Swapping threads and bobbins won’t be a challenge once-so-ever with this machine! This machine is quiet, seems smooth and solid when it runs and fairly easy to change and route the thread and get th bobbin set up correctly. Remember, practice makes perfect and for a new machine, if it is giving you a hard time, take a break or eve come back to it the next day. Often you just need a breather, especially on a new machine that you have to learn all of its twerks and what makes it happy for settings for a specific task. That comes with time, experience and patience and for a new machine, give it a chance to prove itself. Things will fall into place as you learn about your new machine. Good judgement comes from experience, and as the great Will Rodgers once said, that (experience) comes from bad judgment… ..the mistakes you will make learning on your new machine will lead to more learning and positive experience of how to avoid that problem from happening again. One big benefit on the SE300,… it is light and compact enough for easy travel (and works on 120/220V as well!) . The Janome my wife has is a big heavy monster. no way is it easy to carry nor pack. It’s not portable for sure. This Singer can travel with ease. We have two Grandsons out of state who always seem to need some kind of repair on a jacket, jean, shirts, etc….typically we get the item needing repair by ups or USPS and send it back….but, with this Singer and the fact we’re seeing our family and Grandkids 6 or more times a year, we can take it with us when we travel down to see family a few states away and do the repair there! The SE300 base has a slide-out drawer with room to store all of the feet, needles, extra bobbins, and more right within the machines base section. That is nice! To add a few comments for some of the little things on this machine that make it the great machine it is: -Clear, easy to read LCD screen, -Bright and non-glare LED light well distributed on sewing area, -easy to thread after a few practice runs -Large selection of built-in stitches and embroidery options, -usb connectivity and ability to add more design -My wife also commented on the fact this machine is very well suited for Quilters as the Bobbin plate has a bold and clear ¼ inch seam allowance marking on it. -Needle change is quite easy and fast In summary, for a short time using this machine and trying out some of its more basic features, it proved to be a fuss-free machine that should satisfy out all owners. Over time with more use and trying out many other of it’s features, I’m hoping it’ll continue to be a reliable and very versatile machine. As I said, I’ll update this review as more time is spent using it and learning its full potential. But, given the short time to “play” with it, I’m (as is my wife) very satisfied with it so far. Given Amazon’s ample 30 day return policy (and free return shipping) if you can save some cost here over buying it from a local dealer and are ok with allowing some on-the-job training to become acquainted with it, I’d say the SE300 is well worth considering for a moderately priced combo embroidery/sewing machine. Also consider forums on-line for solving an issue. Often you’ll find the answers to resolving your problem on-line!

It is a top of the Line Singer Embroidery machine.
This machine even winds the bobbin by a touch on the screen, not the foot pedal. It is lighter than the other embroidery machines, a lighter plastic I think. But it is strong. I have not embroidered yet, as I work a lot. But I will soon and some of my coworkers want that done. I cannot wait.
