I hate to see the negative reviews... This is a neat little unit... I have had it going on 4 mo. now and have played it a half dozen or more times with no problems... Still the same batteries... The unit doesn't take up much space. It is about the size of a squooshed volley ball... Should fit nicely most anywhere... The radio has better reception than another "portable" radio I have and sounds fine... I wish it had a digital tuner instead of a "dial-up" and a lighted dial would have been nice... I got it for the CD player and will probably never use the radio... Tired of commercials and DJ's that think they are funny... Tired of yakity-yak and hearing about "how white my shirts can be"... (Rolling Stones for those who have never experienced real rock music)... CD player works fine... There is a cardboard shipping lock to keep things from moving in shipping that needs to be removed to play the CD... I suspect a few "Didn't work" reviewers didn't take it out... I have NO problem with my power cord... I don't think some people get it pushed in the whole way... I have NO wiggle or play in the connection at all... Once the plug seems to have hit the whole way in, give it another push and it will go another 1/8 " and be tight... There is a note to remove the batteries when using the cord.... I guess with them in, when you turn on the unit, it must try to use both... AC and DC don't mix, so that might explain some peoples problems... I would think taking out just one battery would suffice.... Sound is plenty good for this little $35 toter... It doesn't sound like my 10" speakers and subwoofer, but it sounds better than reasonable expectations... I have a pretty decent "full ear" headset that sounds incredible with this unit... Might even out do my 10" speakers and subwoofer... When I want to "really" listen to and appreciate the music, that is my mode of listening. The speakers turn off when you use a headset, so crank it up... Otherwise, set it in the corner and let it keep you company while you do what you are doing... I believe I will be very satisfied with this little guy... Me and "Tyler", my headset, Jimmy Buffet and a beverage of choice are doing just fine right now.... UPDATE: 5/15/19... Almost a year now and still ticking... Me, my head-set, my 'Tyler' and George and a 'beverage', doing just fine tonight... Head-set sounds great with the CD...

The Tyler's footprint takes up very little desk space. I like the analogue tuning because I am able to find a weak FM signal & then move the Tyler around until the signal gets stronger. This may or may not work for you but at work I am able to get the weaker NPR stations & love to listen to NPR talk or NPR classical music. I usually wrap the tip of a 4 foot copper wire around the antenna & let the rest of the wire hang on a higher shelf to get a stronger. signal The Tyler is a basic radio & CD player so its easy to operate. The Tyler is a basic radio & CD player so the controls are easy to use.

I was looking for a basic CD player with a headphone jack. I assumed that they all still had this feature, but that's not the case anymore. The Tyller Portable Sport Stereo CD Player is just what I was looking for, and I'm happy with my purchase. Nothing fancy, but it's functional and small enough so it doesn't take up a lot of space.

This CD player may be small, but it is sturdy and dependable. I have been playing my son's nighttime CD on it for over a year. It is perfect for a child's room, because it can fit in a small space. It has a button that allows you to repeat the same song over and over, and another button allows the whole CD to play over and over. Because it has been so reliable, gifted one to my niece who is having a little boy.

I'm in a total concrete building, where the two stations I like to listen to are in the "wrong" direction and they don't come in well. Plus, they're too close together on the dial, and interfere with each other. But I can happily listen to the same classical CD all the time! I do have to remember to turn it down when I'm on the phone, then back up when I'm done.

This CD player works great. I ordered it with a pair of head phones, and was pleasantly surprised that they came in the same box with the CD player. So I was all set! I'm a very satisfied customer. Sincerely, Linda Wilson

I purchased this to play audio books. I find them at excellent prices at a local thrift store, but lacked a CD player. I purchased this unit specifically for that, to have when I work outdoors or other locations. I have no need for a remote, so have not used it and have no information. I also will seldom use the radio feature, but am very happy with how easily the CD player functions. The general sound quality is fine and the volume control easy to use. I keep this unit in my kitchen currently, and have it plugged to the outlet. I will be using the battery feature as the weather warms and I move the player to the garden when I am working out there. Altogether I am pleased with the functionality and performance of this moderately-priced CD player/radio.

This is exactly what I wanted. My CDROM on my laptop is broken and I wanted something portable to be able to listen to educational cd's that I'm required for my yoga teacher training class. I love that I can move it around, plug in headphones if need be, plug it into the wall or use batteries and it's very light! It sounds pretty good too! Great, fast shipping, arrived as expected. Happy Customer!

Tiny and Cute, this is really a neat little item. It works really good. The volume could be louder, and have a timer, and then it would be perfect. But is very good and I like the size. Simple to use. Fun little tiny boom boxet.

Definitely worth the value. Needed something small in kitchen to turn on when I leave the house for hours. At least I think my pets appreciate. I also wanted something that would work on batteries if a power failure were to occur. Keeps you connected and entertained. And I have a few special CD's that are bard to find and this works great. Sound quality isn't stereo quality but at this price, that is a given. It has met or exceeded my needs.
