Works Amazingly Well!!!

This tiny antenna is doing an incredible job picking up ADS-B beacons from planes even while sitting on my desk! I paired it with the FlightAware Pro Stick Plus ADS-B USB Receiver with Built-in Filter and a Raspberry Pi 3B running PiAware. It took all of 20 minutes to set up and I’m ranking within the top 5 on FlightAware’s site for the Atlanta airspace.

get up to 120 mile range regularly

Able to get up to a 120 mile range. Solid performance up to 80 miles. My use is about 8 feet above the terrain on a metal plate angle mounted to a metal pole. It says it's an indoor antenna, but it was cheap enough and I didn't have the ability to mount anything bigger. I am using it outside and it works good. I have it taped to the metal plate it is magnetically attached to based on wind/snow load and to date it is working better than expected. For a low cost antenna it is working better than expected.

Fantastic upgrade to your ADS-B setup.

On my ADS-B setup, I replaced my small non-curly antenna with this antenna. I made no other changes, just unplugged the old, plugged in the new, same location (window in my house). Range went up from ~20mi to ~70mi. Number of messages received has gone up 10x. Cheap upgrade to your ADS-B setup. It really works very well.

Great ADS-B Antenna for Home use

Purchased this antenna to attach to the FlightAware Pro Stick Plus ADS-B USB Receiver and to a PiRaspberry for ADS-B aircraft tracking. Works well and is small and compact along with the other components of the system. The magnetic base is weighted enough to keep the antenna in the upright position in a window or on a vehicle. I am considering setting up a second site and will definitely purchase another antenna for that as well.

Small improvement is better than no improvement

Gaines about 10 percent reception, gave me a total average of 100+ planes. Side note I live in the country I have antenna sticking out second story window. Will be roof mounting it soon.

Fantastic buy! Number of planes tripled in dump 1090/virtual radar using a 14" pizza pan for ground plane.

For the price, this thing rocks. I was hooked with some alligator clips to some metal roof/gutter flashing to bring in ADS-B 1090 to my SDR DUO and was getting some planes around SEA-tac. I stuck this to an old 14" metal pizza pan for a great ground plane, tossed it on the pretty flat roof of my house, unscrewed the old antenna and screwed this in while I was dumping 1090 with Virtual Radar on and the number of planes just about tripled and a few very far out showed up on the radar. Very good bang for the buck antenna with a nice adapter. The magnetic base is not super strong but enough not to complain in my opinion. Buy this. Matt / KF4ULD

This shipment included the adapter my previous shipment did not. The antenna works as it should. I would buy from this seller again.

Once outside I was easily tracking planes

Item as described. But could use a few more measurements. The length is as described. The magnetic base is about 1.25" to 1.5" in diameter. Once connected to my ADSB flight feeder it immediately began to receive signal from inside my house. Once outside I was easily tracking planes between 100-150 mile range and several from over 250 mile range. This is a great starter antenna for a flight feeder.

Nicely built and receives well

Very nicely built. The cable is a bit shorter than my other antennas but this one works very well and having the adapter makes it even more versatile. The magnet base is very strong and holds well. This antennas picks up about 50% more compared to the standard antennas that come with the NooElec USB receiver using ADSB#.

Great performing antenna

I bought this antenna to receive ADS-B signals. It performs very well, particularly considering it's low cost. I just ordered a second one. It is small but performs much better than the antennas that come with USB RTL dongles.
