I work with preschoolers and I have tried a few different brands for magnetic tiles. I own Picasso Tiles (which I love), and I work with Magnatiles (great) and Playmags (feel a little cheaper), and these ShapeMags certainly measure up. They are compatible in size and shape with the other brands, and I love the feature of the magnetic pictures! (I was almost disappointed that they seemed to be peeling right from the start, but then realized they have a protective plastic film, not one intended as a permanent laminate). At $10.50 for 32 magnets, this price can't be beat! Not sure if I caught a good sale or if this is normal, but buying multiples and getting 100 magnets for just over $30 is a steal!

Sturdy and bright pre-school set

We purchased theseMagnetic Stick N Stack Shapes as a Christmas present for a two and a half-year-old girl. She was immediately attracted to the bright colors and loved how light looked as we shone a flashlight through them. We showed her how to start building some towers and she quickly caught on and created some fantastic structures. The pieces are sturdy, colorful, and fit together well. We plan to add to her collection for a Valentine present.

Best price and wonderful, fun set!

These are amazing. I have just as much fun playing with them as my kids. The shapes kind of click into place when they get close to the other ones and you really can build nice sets with them. If there is a con it is the price. They seem kind of pricey but I will say Target has the same brand but different amount for different prices. When you break it down Amazon has the best price for the amount you get. I hope this was helpful, if so please click yes!

Hours of play!

My boys 4, and 11 absolutely love these! They both play with these for hours. It's better than watching tv or being on a tablet. It keeps them entertained for a long time and there are so many things you can do with them. Look for ideas on Pinterest. My only regret is not buying the bigger set. I'm going to be purchasing more and I'll tell friends and family to buy these for Birthday and Christmas gifts! The more magnetic shapes, the more amazing things they can build like life size robots or car ports!

Great gift for any age

These shapes are a hit! My son is 3 years old and absolutely loves playing with them. And what is great is that his older cousins love them too! These shapes are so great for a wide range of ages. I love that they help promote imagination and engineering! This would be a great gift for any kid, and I plan to order these in the future as presents for other children!

Magnificent product for the price

My boys love their Magna tiles so we thought we should add to the 100 pieces they have but they are just so expensive. We decided to give these a try and they are excellent for the price. I was not expecting them to be the same quality as Magnatiles I just wanted them to be compatible with eachother and they are. I can tell the difference but my 4 year old twins cannot, and thats what is important. The company also has a policy that if any of the tiles break or crack, you can take a picture and send it to them and they will send you a replacement. I highly recommend this product for kids of all ages.

Our Favorite Toy!

I purchased this set for my grandchildren for Christmas. They loved them so much that I wound up purchasing a second 160 piece set! My grandchildren and I have spent many hours constructing castles, tunnels, trucks, circus trains, etc. with this set. The best part is they are extremely easy to put together and take apart, making clean-up a breeze. Sorting the pieces by shape to put them away adds an extra educational element to the activity without them even realizing it!

Worth the Investment! For all ages!

I have 4 children ages 3-10. I am bummed I waited to purchase this play activity! I didn’t think the price would be worth it, and we had a plethora of Legos and Lincoln Logs, so I figured the building world was taken care of. In a curious, weak moment during a sale, I bought ShapeMags about 2 years ago. Our creative play & building time has increased tremendously! We have since added to our collection to have plenty for all of our kids to play together! All ages enjoy them! ShapeMags have a durable construction. We have not had a single one break! The way they are put together is ingenious. There aren’t any rivots which could pop open allowing the magnets to fall out- so I trust them for small children to play with. And if you already have that kind (magnatiles), these are compatible, so you can grow your collection with a safer option!

Educational AND Fun!!!

My grandson has been playing witih Magnetic Stick N Stack sets since he was 2 years old (he is now 5 1/2). He LOVES them and spends lots of time creating all sorts of structures, using his imagination to it's fullest. They are colorful, safe, and through playing with these tiles he has learned colors, math concepts (counting, quantifying, patterns, one-to-one correspondence and more. As a former kindergarten teacher and (for the past 6 years) a Pre-K (4 year old students) teacher I know the educational and fun value of these building tiles, and so, as a holiday gift this yea,r I ordered a set for every student in my class as well as a few sets for the classroom. BTW - my three year old granddaughter loves these tiles as well).
