like yours is valuable
My Dog Luna, like yours is valuable..... so riding inside my truck is a no brainer. The Barksbar seat cover provides a feature I was not aware of until it arrived which is the way it hangs over and between my trucks headrests giving Luna an added measure of security when I come to a more aggressive stop. This feature prevents my dog (Luna) from slipping or sliding down between the front bucket seats and the rear bench seat because it has a cradling effect. As for the wash-ability, it is very durable, and the non skid on the bottom/underside allows the cover to not "bunch" which is another feature. One last thing I noticed is that nothing seems to slip through the cover (sand and fur) making its way to the seat when we goof off at the beach( and even doggie accidents that tend to happen at her age) I would highly recommend this cover.

Great product - didn't even know such a product existed!
We used to use old used bed sheets, but dog moving around would invariable make the bed sheet slip off. Didn't even know such a product existed. But saw it on Amazon's daily deals and liked what I saw. It is a very well thought out and designed product that solves the problem. It stays put regardless of how much the dog moves around. Very easy to install and remove too. Love the design of the seat anchors that slip into the crevice between back and seat cushions. Easy snap on buckle straps go around the head rests, and covers both seat and back cushions. Not sure why there are the velcro openings provided for the seat belts to come out. No instructions came with the package on when that can be useful. Only literature you get is the picture of the product installed. I suppose it could be useful if you needed someone to sit with the dog. But that would mean the person could get coated with dog hair! It also has an optional hammock feature where in you use the front seats' head rests as well. However, there is no mention on what the safe weight limit is. Manufacturer needs to specify it. I think a big Saint Bernard would simply cause it to fail in no time. So buyer beware!

X-Large Seat Cover for an X-Large Truck
I drive a 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Duramax LBZ with leather interior. I didn't want Fido, or the kidlets, tearing up my leather. I found this bench seat cover and saw that a lot of people had good things to say about it. I opted for the X-Large version of this seat cover because my vehicle is an X-Large kind of vehicle. It fit perfectly. If you have a larger vehicle, get the X-Large size and not the standard size. There are hook and loop (Velcro) closures where the seat belt buckles can pass through, so access is provided. The closures span wide enough to also accommodate baby/child car seats, giving access to the anchor points. The only downside to this seat cover (or maybe I'm missing something) is that the center bench seat isn't able to utilize the seat belt because it is covered up by the seat cover. If there is a way around this, please let me know in the comment section.

I bought two of them
So far so good. I've had it almost 2 weeks and my dog has ridden in my car at least 7 days, multiple times a day. He's 45 pounds and often frisky in the back seat. No damage or broken parts. I've washed it once in the washing machine in cold water and let it air dry. It survived its first washing and looks like new. The material feels like good quality material. It's thick and I love the quilted look. When I had a passenger in the backseat, I simply unhooked the hooks that were attached to the front seats and attached them to the back of the car. My passenger was exposed to a clean, fur-free seat and she sat with her back against the clean side of the car seat cover. She told someone else how nice the seat cover was. The one drawback is that it's not edge to edge protection in my car. I have 2 caveats that have nothing to do with BarksBar. Caveat #1: My car does not have backseat headrests, so I have the hooks connected to the back of the cabin using bungee cords on the car seat hooks. It looks a little tacky, but that's not the fault of BarksBar. This week, I'm going to install some command hooks in the back window area and see if those will look better. Caveat #2: My dog tried to stick his head up front between the two front seats so he could see out the front windshield. By doing so, he had to lean heavily on the car seat cover. I placed a bungee stretching from the drivers seat to the passenger seat so he will keep his head in the back. Without some such device in place, an active or heavy dog may eventually tear this cover down the middle. UPDATE: I just bought a second one so that I can have a spare when the first one is in the wash.

Fits Nice
I have a little Mitsubishi Mirage and I have used the cover for multiple purposed! It is a little large but in a good way It does still allow for seat belt access so that's nice! I use it as a seat protector from the grandchildren and the car seats as well. We finally got to take our 7 month old shapard for his first car ride this week and the cover worked great. Held back most hair so easy that I folded it removed it from the car and shook it out... He remained cal and comfortable with it I loved that he stayed back..It hooks nicely around the head rest.. I DO NOT EVER EVER leave a dog in the car alone.. If you are complaining that they chewed the clasp off or something of that matter then maybe you should not take your pet where they are not welcome to join you when leaving your car! This is a top grade cover for a great price and it fits my little car! 5 Stars

Great product!!
What a great product! The attention to detail is on point. The XL fits my 2016 Nissan Titan diesel truck perfect!! There are holes for the seat belts so there is no need to put on and take off the seat cover. I have the passenger seat cover and this backseat cover and have had no problems! Completely recommend.

Very sturdy construction, good quality hammock
I purchased this to replace a hammock that had worn out. With 3 medium size mutts, things tend to wear out. I always use seat hammocks to keep the doggies from rolling off the seat when we're out for a drive. They appreciate that. I like that this seat cover is made from heavy material. It's not the least bit flimsy. The anchors appear to be very sturdy (that's the part that killed the last seat cover) so it should last. It's large enough to cover my mid-size suv. Probably the only thing I would ask is to make it available in different colors. I have white/brown/red dogs, so every single hair shows up on the black background. Maybe a light grey or a beige would be nice. But the quality is what matters and I think this cover will last for a while.

So far, so awesome.
The dog and I shopped for a truck for a truck for a long time. His requirements were a bit more stringent that mine. All I needed was 4wd and a V6 4L engine, but he had to have 4 doors, rear windows that roll all the way down, a camper shell with sliding windows, and, above all, leather upholstery. We found everything but the leather seats. So I put some blankets down. Ratty old ugly blankets. And I hated it. He didn't care but I reminded him that I'm the one with the credit card. So we went online and picked out this awesome car seat cover for dogs. It can be hammock style or seat style. Hammock style is the way to go, he said, and he was right. It traps all the sand and dirt and hair and after a day or two I just shake it out. The only way it could be better is if it had a pocket behind the seat for my maps. Yes, maps. Because when the SHTF and the satellites stop working, your GPS won't do diddly for you, whereas I will know right where I'm going.

This car seat cover is a great find!
What a dandy seat protector/cover for my Honda CR-V! Our 55 lb goldendoodle loves to ride around with us and this cover is perfect: it's comfy for her, slip-proof and waterproof for those times when we take a hike and she finds a water hole. The thing was a cinch to install, matter of minutes. I like how it has edges that cover the sides of the seats, and it tucks in nice and tidy into the back of the seat. You can opt to use the "hammock" feature by hanging the buckle straps around the front passenger seats -- which in my case is not a good option because I'm a shorty and my seat is pulled up close, so it doesn't quite reach. But we've used it in a hybrid way, it's connected to the passenger seat when I'm driving! (But if two average-sized people were in the front seat, it works fine.) It's not an issue, and I like the hammock concept for protecting anything that might be lying on the backseat floor. Others have inquired as to whether or not it gets hot due to the color, it doesn't. If the car is hot, everything is hot, but it doesn't hold and retain heat. This car seat cover is a great find!

Pleasantly surprised!
I have two hyper medium sized dogs (combined weight they're about 75-80lbs) and they are usually all over the car when they get to go for a ride. I recently bought this cover for their safety but also to keep some of the dog hair at bay for our fifteen hour car ride up to see my parents and then back home to Texas. I honestly did not expect this to do as well as it did. It was reasonably priced and my dogs are hard on everything so I expected there to be fraying, maybe a broken strap, something wrong by the time our thirty hour test run was over. Wrong! Other than the inch thick coating of dog hair all over it is in pristine condition.
