***EDIT (1/15/18): OMOTON has contacted me and sent me a replacement kit to try this process again. (UPDATE 4/18/18) I FINALLY had time to install it!*** . OMOTON was kind enough to send a replacement kit quickly, I've just been covered up lately and not had much time to read let alone install the new glass. I feel the need to commend OMOTON's customer service representatives. Not only did they reach out to me almost immediately upon posting my original review, but they continued to touch base with me once a week since they sent the replacement. Now, some people might take that as badgering. Personally, I feel like it is just an expression of their commitment to a quality product or making a QC issue right. . Today, I finally caught a break, cleaned a wide space at the kitchen counter, locked the cats in the bedroom, and forbade the family from moving around for 10 minutes. Installation was smooth and completely trouble free. Nary a bubble in sight. . The finish on the user side of the glass is amazingly smooth, almost slippery even. Touch response is just as good as it was minus the glass, maybe a little better since my fingers glide over the surface much easier. The rounded edges on the glass were such a great idea. When I had a glass screen on my iPad, I hated it because of the jarring squared edges of the protector just felt like they did not belong on such a streamlined tablet. Thankfully that is not an issue with these OMOTON screen protectors. Definitely recommend. . Just a heads up, there is one item in the kit that might be confusing. It's a sticker called the Dust-Absorber included on the sticker hinge sheet. It has enough tack to literally lift the screen out of the frame on your tablet. I can't really see a place where it would be useful. The Wet and Dry Cloth and hinge stickers are all you need for a perfect install. Also included is a micro-fiber cloth (both of mine were light gray). Again, it has no purpose in the installation, but is just used to clean and polish the glass AFTER it is installed and when your fingerprints build up. . Thanks again OMOTON for sending me a quality replacement and being patient with me. . . . . . . . . (Original Review - Please Disregard) I've installed plenty of screen protectors on my previous three tablets and had no issues, but this one appeared to have dust on the back of the glass to start with which meant tons of bubbles right off. When attempting to lift the glass back off to try and scrape the trash out of the adhesive (that shouldn't have been there in the first place) my nails rolled back the adhesive, so even though I got the majority of the trash out, the side had two huge bubbles where the rolled up adhesive prevented it laying flat. I think I will see if Zagg makes Kindle screen protectors, they were awesome on my iPads.

Not a forgiving installation

nice package, great quality, but if you don't nail the placement and get all the dust off the first time, forget about taking it off to try again, due to the adhesive on the glass this is a one shot deal. And there's only one in the pack. I got it on clean and placed correctly, but there was a bubble in the middle that simply won't come out, probably due to the fact that the seal the adhesive creates and the hardness of the glass won't let the bubble out. I might get another and try again because it does feel great. 1/2/18 UPDATE: After I wrote the review above I was contacted by OMOTON reps to thank me for my purchase and to apologize for any problems I had. They offered several links to installation and bubble removal videos. then they asked if they could send me another one free of charge to make it right. I accepted and I had the replacement the next day. The quality of the product is as advertised - it fits perfect, has a great feel and clarity. My original complaint was due to the difficulty removing bubbles and I could have contributed to this by not taking into consideration that its not an electrostatic screen saver - one that uses static to adhere. it uses adhesive. But the customer service I received was exceptional - they are actively monitoring product comments and taking action to give people a better experience. I ordered the Omoton All-New Fire HD 8 (2016 Release) Screen Protector. Upon arrival, I noticed the screen protector was well packaged! I was very impressed as to the construction of the box it came in, as well as all the components and the directions. I followed the instructions exactly. Everything was great. I noticed a small defect, and when I say small I mean the size of a pen dot, at the bottom of the protector. This caused an air bubble about half the size of a dime. I contacted Omoton via Amazon and they were very helpful. Not only did they apologize but went out of their way to send me a new protector free of charge. I had it within another 2 days. The new protector is now on my tablet and is STUNNING! Responsiveness is 100%. You can't even tell I have a screen protector on it.. especially once I put a case on it! You can see fingerprints some, but I'd say is is no worse than what the actual screen looks like with fingerprints. Overall, I would highly recommend.

Just Follow Instructions For A Clean Install

Even though I screwed up a bit, I still give this product a 5-star review. I have installed glass protectors before and have had 100% success with them. Unfortunately, just before I was letting the protector hinge down to the screen, my hand slipped and I touched the adhesive side of the protector. Luckily, it was in the corner...not the middle. Had I not done that, the screen would have dropped into place and with slight pressure, all the bubbles would have flowed outward toward the edges and disappeared. That is what did happen..except, of course, the corner where I screwed up. As it is in the black framed area and not on the viewing area, I can deal with it. I will say this: Prior to installing this, bring all of your materials to a clean, well lit, work area.You get everything you need to install this perfectly on your Fire HD 8. Avoid fans and AC vents. You want NO DUST. Read the instructions thoroughly. Clean your screen well. Check and double check for dust. Again....read the instructions and CLEAN YOUR SCREEN. If you follow the instructions, you will have a perfect installation. The only reason I didn't was my fault. In no way can I blame the product. If I'm feeling "rich" some day, maybe I'll order another one. In my opinion, you can buy with confidence.

Perfect Crystal clear screen, no boubles.

I followed the directions exactly and applied carefully and it came out perfect only had a couple little boubles that were easy to rub out with the little card they include. It is on perfect and Crystal clear with no boubles at all. Looks perfect. Remember, anything that comes between the screen and glass will create a boubles, even a tiny spec of dust. Clean and wipe screen carefully and look at it closely to make sure you did not miss anything. As soon as it is clean, remove the backing on glass and place. Every second you take is another second an airborne piece of dust or lint has to get between the two. Also do in the cleanest area you can, least dust flying around,. I did mine in the bathroom. Again,. Lay all the items out and follow the directions,. Memorize the directions rather than stopping at each step,. You want the least amount of time between cleaning the screen and placing the glass.

LOVE this screen protector!

Installation is soooo much easier than flexible film protectors. The written instructions looked complicated until I watched the YouTube video. So simple! So here’s what I did (probably overkill, but I wanted to get it right the first time): 1. Set up a table in the bathroom, did NOT turn on the bathroom fan, and turned on the shower. Once the water was hot, I let it run for about 5 seconds (someone told me that a little humidity helps to control the dust). 2. Washed my hands. 3. Because I had been using my Kindle for a bit before putting this protector on, I cleaned the glass with eyeglass cleaner from my optometrist, especially around the edges. 4. Followed the YouTube video instructions. Note: The Omoton video didn't use the included dust absorber, but I used it anyway. 5. Voila! Perfect installation - no dust, no bubbles. I previously installed a tempered glass protector on my smart phone. Immediately after installation, I dropped my phone face down causing a large scratch and several cracks in the screen. Much to my relief, when I lifted up the glass protector, the phone screen was perfectly intact. Phew! Hopefully, I won’t ever have to find out if my new Kindle glass protector performs similarly, but I’m a firm believer that it will if I’m clumsy enough to have another destructive drop.

Great HD Glass screen protector for my Fire Tablet! Installed easily.

I bought this OMOTON All-New Fire HD 8 glass screen protector when I bought my new Fire tablet. I installed it immediately upon unboxing the new Fire HD 8 tablet. While the screen was new and clean, it was easy to prepare it for installation. I followed the instructions and the process went well. I have only one very small complaint. There are little stickers that are designed to be used as hinges for the protector while installing it, and they don't stick well enough to hold it. This is a very, very small complaint. It installed easily. I had one little piece of lint near an edge and was able to pull that edge up and remove the lint and put it back down. When it was done, no bubbles or any other problems. I expect it to provide excellent protection for my Fire tablet screen. If I have trouble with it going forward, I will adjust my rating accordingly. For now, it's easy to rate this at 5 stars and recommend it. If you have questions about my review or ongoing experience with this screen protector, please ask in a comment and I will respond. Perfect in every way

I was dubious - use a glass screen protector? I was sure I'd break it. But it was very easy to apply, fits perfectly, and was reasonably priced. Maybe it's my imagination, but I think the touch screen is more sensitive. When you lay the glass on your screen, touch in the center and you can see it adhere all over. I got a piece of my dog's undercoat stuck under the glass (never should have attempted this with him right next to me) so I had to lift it again. Even that was no problem and when I laid it back down it restuck itself like I had never moved it. I think this is a great product.

Great screen protector for Kindle 8 kids edition!

Wow. I’m impressed w the ease at which these can be installed. Purchased for two new Kindle 8 kids edition. They arrived in a quality package that reflected the product within. I installed both easily after carefully reading the instructions first. I suggest you arrange all the components on an even surface, cut open the little wipe packets, and have everything ready to grab and use. This helped me get them done quickly. Only minor issues: (1) My kits had a dry wipe and a microfiber wipe included. This was a little confusing because only a “dry wipe” was mentioned. I used both to dry first screen and only the microfiber one on the second install; liked that way better. It mentions in the instructions that you can redo the install if there’s a problem. (2)With one of my Kindles, I moved and it wasn’t adhering at one corner. I lifted the screen protector off, realigned the whole thing and placed it down again (after cleaning the screen a second time to prevent bubbles). I believe the misalignment occurred because I only used two of the hindge stickers instead of the three included. I only used two bc that’s all that’s shown in instructions. I used all three on second install. Perfect. No bubbles on either Kindle. Hey, if this sleep deprived Mom of a newborn can install 2 in under 30mins, without major problems or bubbles, I’m pretty sure you can too! They work well and no problems with them so far.

Happy, Happy - worth the price !! Best quality and easiest installation I've ever done - NO LINT !

This is the easiest screen protector I've ever installed. They give you a paper square that's sort of a sticker on the back to grab every last piece of lint that might be on your screen (in addition to giving you wipes to clean it). Why haven't others thought of that ! First screen protector I've installed where I have no lint ! Also, I repositioned it about 3 times before it was on correctly. I used the little tabs/hinges they provided, but found it easier in the end to handle it carefully (balancing it so that my fingertips did not touch it) and make sure it really sat down inside the kindle face and then when I turned loose of it, it was like magic -- it started working the bubbles out itself before I even pressed the center of the kindle. Every last bubble came out. It was important for it to be centered exactly on the face in order for all bubbles to remove. The packaging said it is tempered glass -- I'm sure it is, but it feels more like extremely durable, light/thin plexiglass. I am happy, happy with this item -- worth the price !
