Very good item
The items are easy to use and came in very sharp. You just need to use soap to lubricate them when they start to stick to your project. Best buy for the money.

Good beginner tools
Nicely packaged in a small plastic clamshell case, the quality of the steel and cut of the prongs are decent for the price point. I'm just beginning leatherworking and have made 2 wallets with these punches so far; no sign of cracked prongs, clean cuts on the leather.

These are the ones you want. V. nice
Very nice! They’re Silver colored, not brittle or blackened & greasy; Just a thin, clear layer for protection. Stamped with the brand name, it comes with a drawstring pouch and a small and surprisingly durable case. Buying tools online, with only reviews/price as a guide, is always tricky and often disappointing. These are the one you want.

Quality pricking irons.
Pricking irons are a quality made product. I use them to put my holes all the way through several layers without any issues. The plastic case they come in is a plus also to keep them stored in also. Only complaint I could think of is the handles should be stamped with the size Incase two sizes get mixed up on the work bench.

Does the job for a great price
I've used these chisels on several pieces now--thin chrometan, 3-6oz veg, and one stacked veg knife sheath (two layers of 10oz and one layer of 3oz). I mostly use the 6-prong on straight areas, or the two-prong on curves. I use two layers of 10-12oz vegtan under the piece and have never broken a prong. Trying to use more than 2-3 prongs at a time on the knife sheath made it almost impossible to remove after each run, so I waxed down the 2-prong real well and did it slow. Great tools.

Perfect in alot of ways
So, I make leather bags for a living, and I really hate to have to hand-sew because the very expensive French hole punch I have always used doesn't really make large enough holes for me to sew with heavy bonded nylon thread unless I go back through the holes with a really sharp awl. It's an agonizing, slow process, and it makes my shoulder ache after a bit. Then I purchased these in a few sizes, and the holes are MARVELOUS! You can get the French-look slant by pulling upward with the top thread if that's what you want. It's great. I seldom have to re-open the holes with an awl. No shoulder pain. Very fast. Looks great! Having the full set makes curves and rounded corners a snap.

Works great and at a reasonable cost.
I do my best not to write a review before I actually use a product. I've finally gotten around to using this set of lacing chisels and I couldn't be more satisfied with the product unless they punched holes without my having to touch them. I'm new to using sewing/lacing chisels of any kind since I am just a casual dabbler in leatherwork. I have, for years, used a simple awl and a punch. As you can imagine those tools are rather labor intensive when making bags or sheaths, I know because I've done several of each. Not only is it labor intensive to use punches and an awl to make sewing holes but keeping a stitch line evenly spaced or even straight can be a problem no matter how well your material is marked out. Being on a fixed budget I have to choose my toys wisely and after completely lousing up a very nice piece of latigo leather I decided to take a chance on this set of lacing chisels from Aiskaer. The problem of labor and especially the problem of proper spacing has been solved for me. Even going around curves, which has been the most frustrating part of setting up stitching has become more accurate and easier. Finally the issues I encountered in aligning stitching holes on top and bottom pieces have been greatly diminished. The chisels are sharp and easily cut through leather of 8-9 ounce weight. They are available with a number of different teeth, different spacing between the teeth and different sizes of hole punched into the material. If anyone can suggest a sharper tool that is durable and has the same choices of hole size and spacing I'm willing to hear about it and if not exorbitant, to try it. Until then I'm a satisfied customer. If I encounter any issues I will be certain to update my review and reflect any changes in my opinion.

Great tool for the job
Great product; arrived quickly via Prime. I've done quite a bit of leatherworking, and used a number of hole-making devices. The diamond end cuts a better hole for stitching than does a flat chisel end. Also, the ability to cut five-six holes at once makes the work go quickly. Easy to use with a mallet. Something I would buy again!

Very satisfied
I have been using this for a couple months now. I use it to make leather axe sheaths, and usually go through 3 layers of veg tanned leather at a time. The prongs are just long enough to get through. I have made quite a few with them so far, and they have held up well. I try not to abuse them, and go straight in and as straight out as possible. I think if you don't do anything stupid with these, they will last a long time. they are very durable feeling, and have an angled tooth patern, which I guess makes them stronger. If I need a different size, I will buy this brand again.

Great quality
I have used these for several projects and have been very pleased with them. I should have done a bit more research because my needles are bigger than the prongs on these so it takes a bit of effort to get them through the holes, especially when going through the same hole twice, but as far as the prongs go, they're absolutely great quality.
