Great in Xbox remotes!

I bought these to use for my Xbox one controllers when my Energizer ones stopped charging. They work awesome in this application, and they last a long time! I always run a headset hooked to my remote and these seem to last as long or longer than what I previously had, and definitely longer than standard AA batteries. We will see how they are with longevity, but so far I love them!

I did my research on YouTube ... The EBL AA batteries scored very good points, and came in on top for value for your dollar! I have only used a pair of the AA's in my am/fm radio headset that I use outdoors when mowing and working on our 4 acres. The old re-chargeables would last one day, these new EBL AA's have been in the headset for 8 days without running flat. I also bought 16 x AAA's that I use in all the remotes in the house. Needless to say I would purchase these and the charger again ..... maybe a great Christmas stocking stuffer for my daughter. The order arrived very fast ..... Buy with confidence ! Five stars all round XXXXX!

GOOD PRODUCT, GREAT PRICE!

Love it, charges 2/4/6/8 AA, AAA, or both at the same time all for a great price. Only thing I noticed that instructions didn't mention is that color on charger went from red to yellow - then green, rather than red to green like it says it does when fully charged. I was about to remove batteries when (most of) red went away when I noticed two of the batteries light was actually green so decided to wait longer and sure enough all other lights eventually turned solid green color. Writing this review after first use/charge and it took around 5/6 hours to fully charge batteries out the box.

NOT STANDARD VOLTAGE

---UPDATE--- the seller made this right. Sent a replacement and delivery was very prompt. Seller was extremely helpful 12-27-18 Do not buy. They do not work. I was very excited when I got these. Fully charged them, and they dont work. I found out they are the right size (AA) but apparently, I'm told, wrong voltage and not standard AA. I didnt even know there were different voltages. In order to return them I have to take them to the nearest UPS store snd bring up a code on my phone to send them. I do not have a way of getting to our local UPS store and so therefore I'm stuck with these useless batteries that were not cheap.

Great customer service!

One of the two-battery charging 'bays' does not work, so I can only charge 6 batteries on mine. Other than that, this product works fine for rechargeable AA batteries. EDIT: EBL contacted me after I left this review and sent me a new unit free of charge. The new unit works properly; all 8 bays charge the rechargeable batteries. This means my original unit was defective, so I revised this review. Now I can recommend this product because it is backed by a great support policy.

EBL 8bay AA/AAA charger and 8pc 2300mAh NiMH AA EBL batteries

Saw some negative reviews on defective units, etc but MANY MANY positive reviews outweighing and took the chance and am perfectly happy with the products/performance thus far. Enough that i ordered 16 more batteries but 2800mAh EBLs for longer service life on each charge. Not sure of battery life yet so only giving that a 4 and i don't know why "remote control" is even a thing to rate (not going to either, lol) because there is no remote control for this unit? Would recommend the product otherwise and would purchase again if necessary.

We've Saved So Much Money, and Helped The Environment!

We have saved so much money by not having to throw away used batteries. And in doing so, we've also cut down on some unnecessary garbage. These chargers have been great so far. Very easy to use. Our 10yo set them up for us. So it doesn't take a lot of explaining on how to use them. I will say that they don't keep a charge/power as long as a non-rechargeable battery, but with eight batteries we never find ourselves without a charged battery. They've been used for Xbox controllers, radios, remotes, and toys. Would recommend!

When they say "smart"...

...they mean it. I'm a gamer on the side, so I burn through a lot of batteries. One day, I asked myself, "Why am I buying so many non-rechargeable batteries? That's dumb. It's a waste of money." Now, it's worth knowing that that day came after many, many other people had asked the exact same question, and I always had a ready answer, that no longer made sense to me. So I found this particular charger, that seemed to have the right capacity for my needs, and since Amazon was shamelessly blasting it all over the search page, it seemed like the way to go. An agonizing two days later (I'm like a kid at Christmas every time I order anything, it's true), I was setting this up in my room. After the first pair of batteries ran down, I popped them into the charger. The light flashed orange, then green. Fully charged? Huh, that was quick...too quick. So then I eventually burned through the second set.... same thing. Third set... Fourth set. Back on the first set, died in 10 minutes. Second set, died in 10 minutes. Third set... Fourth set. I was about ready to hop on and blast the battery life of these things, and/or the fact that they couldn't be recharged, when years of growing up kicked in and said, "NO. You are -not- going to go online and shoot your mouth off AGAIN without MAKING ONE-HUNDRED PERCENT -SURE- that YOU are not the one that's WRONG." And I listened to that voice. And I then completed a brief visual inspection. And so, by switching the poles from "minus" to plus" and from "plus" to "minus," the machine then worked and gave my creatures life. And I was again reminded that you have to be smarter than the tool. Good battery life, accepts both AA's AAA's, only charges in pairs, short learning curve for people like me.

Battery size to big due to casing on battery!

Battery life seems to me good and supply plenty of power and I really like the charger, But - and this is a big one and the reason I gave them a one star-the batteries are larger than a normal size AA battery due to the casing on them and do not fit in a lot of stuff which is very disappointing and aggravating after having my hopes way up about these batteries! Was going to order 8 AAA batteries but if they are going to be larger also then I will have to find a different brand battery, EBL really needs to get the size corrected and they will have a very good product, I also saw a lot of other complaints about the size difference,I would like to contact EBL and discuss this matter with them! So EBL company contacted me about the issue of the battery size and I do understand their reasoning about chargeable batteries are slightly larger, then customer service was excellent in responding to every email personally and took very good care of me. I do still recommend their chargers, I see no problem with them! So I am Changing my rating to a five star for their excellent customer service, thank you EBL!

Bought it for my XBOX one controller a few months ago, already recouped the cost of batteries. Awesome!

Not sure why people are giving this bad reviews on account of the charger. Granted, it is impractical that you cannot charge an odd number of batteries in it, but here is the solution: just don't. Now, okay, that might be easier said than done for some people, but really, unless you are the uncommon sort that does often need odd numbers, this will be a perfect product for you. Do be aware of two things however: For me, The charger charges extremely slowly. After using the batteries in "high-drain" devices until they are too weak to power those specifically, I recharge about 6 of them in the charger at a time (I use them for my XBOX one controller) and it does take about a full 24 hours to charge those 6 batteries. Also: These are somewhat "thick" batteries. It's strange that there are actually different sizes of AA batteries (just why is that a thing?) but these are on the thick side, so do be aware that they may not fit into all electronics out there.
