Works like a charm! Glad to have read the questions people asked about it being compatible with the PS4 AND being able to fit it with another USB port next to it (though this depends entirely on what kind of usb sized port you are using for the other one). Very nice sound card and as said before, glad it works! Although, PS4 is still peasant material, this USB is a great example of the PC Master Race and all it can offer anywhere and everywhere to be used (;

I have a basic setup, laptop projecting to my TV, unfortunately, I have a poor USB headset, an amazing set of headphones, and a flawed headphone jack on my TV. I was shopping around for a new USB headset, when I decided I'd rather go cheap and get something that would turn my amazing headphones into a headset. This is a simple little device (much smaller than I predicted it to be I'd like to add) does it's job perfectly. Simply plug it in, and after a few minutes of installing drivers and updating, it was good to go. I would like to add that I have not tried the mic part of this item, so I can not say anything on that part. After one month of having it, it is still working excellent. Solved all my problems.

This product was suggested to me by an employee at Best Buy in the Geek Squad department. I have a HP desktop small form factor PC that I upgraded to Win10 Pro and my sound disappeared. I spoke w/ the representative in the Geek Squad unit and he suggested a cost effective way to temporarily solve my issue. I couldn't believe how great it worked! I still plan to replace the sound card (I want something Miracast capable), but I was ecstatic, none-the-less because I could once again enjoy You-Tube and other media like I was accustomed to w/ Win7 Pro. Great product; simple adapter that works...no complaints here !

Unfortunately I don't have a 3.5mm microphone with which to test the quality of recording, but I have to say I'm impressed with the audio out so far. The build quality feels really rock solid. I feel like I could drop this thing, and it wouldn't completely fall apart like most plastic USB sound cards. Literally the only problem I've seen so far is that you have to be patient while the drivers install. I'll say that again for clarification. YOU MUST BE PATIENT. With most USB devices, Windows takes a couple of seconds to search out drivers, and then you're set. With the Trond USB sound card, Windows took a couple of minutes to search out the proper drivers, and it needs two different drivers - one for audio in, and one for audio out. Just let it sit and let Windows do its thing. Go brew a pot of coffee, water the dog, or walk the flowers. When you get back ~5 minutes later it's ready to go, and it's worth the wait. I can't even use my headphones on my old onboard sound solution anymore. The difference is night and day. I don't normally write product reviews anymore, but since the Trond people asked really nicely (their customer support seems really friendly) I decided to post my experiences so far. If and when I get my hands on a decent 3.5mm microphone I'll try to remember to update this review. But if all you need is an audio out jack, and you want something that you can sit on and it won't break, you found it. Disclaimer: I do not recommend trying to break it.

great product Works greatl with Windows 10 on my laptop. I have this plugged into a 13 Port High-Speed USB 2.0 Hub there is no extra noise or audio issues compared to my other sound cards this sound card makes my bose speakers sound so much better. I'm very happy with this item and plan on buying another for my desktop computer. this is well made and worth every penny. I highly recommend this USB sound card.

Great little USB Audio Adapter! Works just fine with Windows 10. I like the metal shielding. I'm using it in a high-RF environment with a Windows 10 tablet-PC hybrid (The Pipo X9 - which for some reason doesn't have a microphone input). This TROND Audio Adapter is being used with the Pipo X9 to run EchoLink, and it works great. I'm also using it with a TROND D2 Ultra Slim Aluminum USB 3.0 Hub as the Pipo X9 doesn't have enough USB ports for all of my needs. Will definitely buy TROND again if I need this type of adapter in the future.

My microphone port on my computer randomly stopped working a few weeks ago, which made playing certain games difficult because typing takes a lot longer than it does to talk into a microphone. I began searching Amazon for a microphone port bypass type of product, when I came across this TROND AC2 External sound card. The shipping was extremely fast, two days through Amazon Prime and arrived right on time. The package is small and light and comes with a little card board with some important information on it in regards to the product. I plugged it in to my USB slot and than plugged my speakers and microphone into the necessary ports, and within a minute I had everything set up and working, my microphone working great like it did in the past years. I would recommend this product to anyone in the same situation as me where my original sound card when bad. High quality piece of equipment that works wonders. The customer service is also great as they email you as soon as you receive the product asking if there is anything else they can help you with explaining the return process and any trouble shooting if you happen to run into a problem.

Thrilled with this. I bought a PC headset recommended for Dragon, but I use a Mac (Yes, I missed the "PC" in the ebay ad.). It arrived quickly, thanks Prime, and immediately connected this headset to my Mac. Then I tried Dragon, and YES, it works! The only downside is what reviews warned about. My USB ports are both covered. A USB expander did not work either, but that does not mean others might not work. I will try others that I have. In any case, I rarely have need for more than one USB at a time. My printer is on the WIFI. With my disability, I cannot use a mouse without pain. Bluetooth is very helpful also.

This is my review of the eTrond AC2 USB Audio device. My AC2 was not complementary from the supplier. I bought mine through Amazon. From this point on, I will simply refer to it as "the AC2". I have had this device for little over a month. I have used it with little over 18 hours of burn-in time. Audio electronics sound best after a significant amount "burn-in" time. Typically 73 hours is the norm. At first, the AC2 sounded a little harsh in the upper frequencies. At the time of this writing, the harshness has gone away. I played some familiar music with my computer speakers plugged into the AC2. I have noticed that I'm hearing better resolution of music details. Details that I've never heard before on my integrated sound card on my motherboard. Oh, by the way, I did not buy this because of a faulty soundcard on the motherboard. I simply wanted an external soundcard in hopes of better sound quality coming through my speakers. An example of detail with the AC2. Steely Dan's Aja from the album of the same name has a police whistle blowing for a short duration in the middle of the track. In all of my years of listening to this recording, I've never heard that whistle. Needless to say I am happy that I bought the AC2. At this price, I'll probably buy more of them for the rest of my computers.

I ordered this product to link my new iMac with my headset, to enable dictation. The Trond external USB adapter arrived on time, well packed, and in excellent shape. The unit is very attractive; both the design and the brushed silver finish fit perfectly with the industrial look of the iMac. The Trond works beautifully right out of the box...plug and play! Plug your headset and mic jacks into the Trond, insert the Trond into an available USB port, and with the iMac you are all set. Because it contains a sound card, the Trond (and its competitors) typically are wider (the Trond is 1 " wide) than a typical USB jack. Be sure your USB ports have enough space between them before ordering the Trond or another such product.
