Works like a champ! Plays well with the ASUS VivoStick.
I purchased this from Amazon to go with the ASUS VivoStick TS10-B017D Intel Atom Z8350. It works like a charm, and it's close to full size, so typing is easy. The trackpad is very responsive. My only complaint is that there were no instructions about pairing it with VivoStick, nor was there a clue to the function of the yellow button in the upper left corner. I had thought that the yellow button was for pairing, but continually pressing it during the start-up didn't seem to do much good. The button's overprint looks like a mouse with a left-click, and, after experimenting I learned that's what it actually is. But there are left-click and right-click keys under the touchpad, so why the redundancy? Or, did I miss something? Anyway, somehow, as if by magic, it paired all by itself with the ASUS VivoStick, and it has worked like a champion ever since. I have been using computer keyboards since the early 1980's, and this is among the best. ------------------------------------------- Note added: OOPS! My bad! When I gave a second thought to my review a big "DUH!' hit. Of course, I didn't have to pair it with the computer (the ASUS VivoStick) because it is not a Bluetooth device. It self-pairs with the included dongle that is inserted into one of the VivoStick's USB ports. DUH!

Great value, good range. 4.5 stars if possible.
A good size. I use it with my Raspberry Pi (1 USB slot = keyboard + mouse!), but I have tested it with my smart TV (LG) and it was immediately recognized. It's a bog-standard USB device so it will pretty much work with anything that speaks USB/HID. Typing on it feels decent, somewhat like a laptop keyboard. I doubt it is meant for heavy, heavy usage, of course. The wireless range is pretty good -- I was about 7-8 feet away and experienced no issues with the receiver. The arrow keys are bit cramped for me and the touchpad "double-tap to click" doesn't register 100% of the time (though admittedly, that could be my error). Two fingered scrolling gestures work. I would give this 4.5 stars if possible; it's not perfect for me but it's still a pleasure.

I actually like this better then the recent model it replaced. Yeah!!! no more sleep mode button like model with out the yellow, plain K400. We use this on our PC media center and somebody was always bumping the sleep button (PC button, see pic). The volume keys are placed better. Batteries last forever as did the older one. The finish is less glossy then the older version which means easier to read. See picture of them side by side.

Great for Ubuntu!
It works great on ChromeOS, Windows, Ubuntu, and OSX Ubuntu won't pick up the fact that it is a touchpad, so if you want to do any modding to the touchpad like changing the speed, just change your mouse settings. Now, if you want to enable "natural scrolling" also known as "reverse scrolling" or "Australian scrolling", just run this in terminal: echo "pointer = 1 2 3 5 4 7 6 8 9 10 11 12" > ~/.Xmodmap && xmodmap ~/.Xmodmap if you want to undo what that does, all you have to do is run this in terminal: echo "pointer = 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12" > ~/.Xmodmap && xmodmap ~/.Xmodmap OR you can do this: 'rm -r ~/.Xmodmap && reboot NOW' If you are interested in pairing other devices to the Logitech Universal Receiver (the little USB thingy that communicates with your device) or if you want to monitor the battery levels of the keyboard, just install the app called Solaar by doing the following: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:daniel.pavel/solaar && sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install solaar

My inner Homer Simpson loves this keyboard! I just moved into a house with a long and thin main living room, and I set up my smart TV as a computer monitor with a laptop in one of the HDMI ports. There is about 13 feet from the TV to the sofa. This keyboard works great! I can just sit there on my arse and run the TV from across the room, and navigate Hulu and check some web sites I frequent daily. There are actually many controls on this keyboard: the pad and left and right buttons of course, but there are also page up/down buttons, volume up/down buttons, and the space bar serves as a pause on/off for streaming videos. There are likely more controls I haven't discovered yet, but I am in almost full control with this keyboard. I say "almost" because all web sites are different, and some controls may not work on all web sites or streaming sites. For example, page up/down doesn't seem to work with the Amazon Music client, so I have to use the pad and right mouse button combo to scroll down through my music. I only wish it had a (thumwheel control like many mice to for scrolling up and down.) Also, it is thankfully not extremely directional like some remote controls. I can have it sideways toward the TV/laptop and it works fine (the laptop is directly under the TV on a separate shelf.) Finally, my laptop is a Windows 10 machine. There were no install issues. I plugged in the little USB communications device, and it was off to the races. Now I can waste my life with TV like never before!

Perfect for use with my Samsung Smart TV
I have two 6 Series (MU6290) 40" Samsung 4K Smart TVs that I purchased at Costco, one in my office and the other in my master bedroom. For about $19 I purchased a wireless keyboard and mouse combo on Amazon to use with the TV in my office. They use a single unifying USB reciever and work great, just plug and play. The only thing I found I didn't like was having two devices to keep track of and having to switch between them to point and input data. I saw this keyboard as an Amazon Deal of the Day two days ago and just received it, in fact I'm writing this review with it while sitting on the bed and using my bedroom TV. It turns out to have been a very good purchase because it works great! I merely plugged the unifying USB receiver into the first USB input on the back of the TV, turned the keyboard on and started using it, true plug and play. And boy do I love using the touchpad to cursor around instead of having to switch between the keyboard and mouse like I do in my office. In fact, even though the keyboard and mouse work fine on the TV in the office, I may end up buying another K400+ to use in the office, it's "that nice" not having to use two devices. I know the K400+ is advertised as a device for using with a computer connected to a TV but I read other reviews where it was being used directly with a smart TV without a computer and, even though it works great with my Samsung, I can't speak to whether it works with all smart TVs, though I expect it should work with any of the later Samsung Smart TVs which use Samsung's Tizen OS. I don't know if it works with the other two major Smart TV operating systems, WebOS & Android. It's light, seems well made, has a QWERTY keboard with nice key response and feel and is spaced fine for touch typing. It's great for basic input and I'm finding out more about how it functions with my TV. For instance, I found out holding down the CTRL key while cursoring moves the cursor one word at a time, holding down the SHIFT key while cursoring highlights one letter at a time, holding down the SHIFT + CTRL keys while cursoring highlights one word at a time, etc. These are familiar, however I've discovered by playing around that other keys and key combinations do things but the result may not necessarily be what I expected, but I'm the type who likes to play and learn and will thus get even more use from this keyboard as I learn. For example, just discovered esc key is equivalent to the "back" function when used in your browser. I can mention the media keys, previous chapter, next chapter, pause/play, volume up & down don't work with my TV. I'm sure they do if the keyboard is connected to a computer that's connected to a TV, as advertised. However this keyboard is perfect for anyone who only simply wants to point and input, especially if you only want to use one device! Overall I'm "extremely pleased" with the K400+ and am so glad I decided to give it a try. Of course the only thing I can't comment on is it's longevity but I hope it lasts a good long time because I love this thing!

I use it to control my Raspberry Pi 3 (Model B) and it works perfectly
It is very comfortable to use on the bed, It works on two AA batteries that are already included. It is smaller than your ordinary keyboard, but large enough not to press two keys at a time. The trackpad (or "mouse") is as good as any PC laptop on the market. I use it to control my Raspberry Pi 3 (Model B) and it works perfectly by just pluggin in the USB receiver, no need to download additional software or drivers. The only CON on this keyboard is that I couldn't find where to store the USB receiver on the keyboard (the hole near the batteries that Logitech puts on its mouses).

Great keyboard. Logitech should have been my first choice. An a+ company. 1. Touchpad. The touchpad is slightly smaller than the ms version. However, this is a benifit. On the ms keyboard, I was constantly moving the pointer when holding the keyboard. This does NOT happen on the Logitech keyboard because the touchpad does not go all the way to the bottom. There is a small area under the touchpad that you can hold the keyboard without touching he touchpad. 2. Receiver. If the receiver gets lost or damaged, you can simply purchase a new one (for $15). The use the Logitech software to pair it back up with the keyboard. Also, the Logitech receiver can connect to several Logitech devices. (The ms version is hard coded to the 1 keyboard) I already have a spare receiver because I also purchased a Logitech wireless mouse, and paired it up with the receiver that came with the keyboard. 3. Keys seem better, and the function key and placement seems better. I previously purchased the Microsoft keyboard a few years ago. The receiver got damaged, and I was upset that it was not possible to replace the receiver and pair them up. I was told I needed to 'simply' purchase a new keyboard!!!! What! Nice for ms, bad for consumers.

It works with Samsung Smart TV UN43J5200FXZA!
After much searching, research, returned items, this is the keyboard that worked. I have a Samsung UN43J5200FXZA 43" Smart TV with Smart Hub and web browser. This keyboard is the only one I found that works seamlessly with the TV. Other keyboards either didn't work at all, or some features of the keyboard, (like the touch pad) would not work or be recognized by the Smart TV. I purchased a 3 foot USB extension cable that I routed from the USB connector behind the TV to the bottom edge of the TV to eliminate the "behind the tv" range restrictions, allowing the USB "dongle" to be seen by the keyboard for longer range and better fidelity. The keyboard is well built, with good tactile response, and the mouse pad is sensitive enough with being too sensitive. Adjust the mouse speed in the TV's setup menu to find the speed you are comfortable with. Although the supplied manuals are not very helpful, let's be honest; it's just a keyboard. It's not that hard to figure out the right settings. The single and double finger shortcuts are very intuitive, and the extra "left mouse button" in the upper left is actually quite useful. Overall, a nice little wireless keyboard/mouse product that works with a Samsung Smart TV as well as just about any computer with a spare USB port. It should work with any Samsung J5200 series Smart TV.

Only complaint I have is when I got it I couldn't find the wireless USB dongle wasn't in the packaging wasn't in the battery/dongle receptacle It was "in" the box wall in its own little pocket in the cardboard box wall, why? I mark it up to bad design in general. Otherwise its does what it needs and a nice feature is the extra left-click button on the top left corner to make dragging easy if you are sanding and holding the keyboard while working. Keys are not too bad; would have preferred more 2000s laptop style but at least it is not 2014ish spaced really flat keys laptop style, nor is it colicky bubble membrane like the tiny wireless trackpad/keyboards. Good stuff.
