OMG ... this is fantastic! My sister has had several fainting episodes and always seemed to land on her tailbone. She has also had back surgery to attempt to correct her bulging discs (also from her falls), but that made her worse. She has been unable to sit in any chair comfortably ... until now. The Cadillac of Coccyx Cushions

Save your money and don't buy those other cheap cushions. I've tried others and they do not work well, or they work for 1-2 days and you end up in pain, juggling different cushions to help relieve yourself of tailbone pain. I bought a donut... only works in my car seat while driving, and I have to adjust myself multiple times to even be comfortable. It also works in this office chair I have. I bought one of those sloping diagonal non-memory form cushions with the cutout in the back.... doesn't work in my vehicle, only works sitting on a hard flat wooden seat or on my couch - with 2 of the couch cushions under that! No THANKS! I don't want to juggle a bunch of different cushions to help my coccyx tailbone injury. And only receive partial relief too! This cushion, the cadillac of coccyx cushions, is the only one I need now. It works in my car. It works in my office chair. It works on my couch. It works on hard wood seats. Makes such a difference for long car rides...

I don't write many reviews - I try to save mine for when I really have something to say. My mom recently was very sick and lost a lot of weight. With that came loss of much of her "padding" which made long car rides and even sitting on our nearly brand new power reclining leather couch uncomfortable for "seat". So I got her this cushion. It has made such a huge impact that she carries it around with her from car to couch. I'll be ordering another one in the next day or two so she can have one in the house and one in the car. I was worried the gel would make the seat to cold for her as she is extremely temperature sensitive, but she loves it. I find her happily passed out sitting up on the couch now which she hasn't been able to do for months now. I imagine she will continue to use this cushion even after she has regained some of her own "padding".

I'm very impressed with the high quality foam used and the construction of the cushion. This is not just one of those cushions you see "On Tv" or on a Target promotional endcap. My best guess would say the foam is at least 5.5lb to 7.0lb density foam. Much thicker than I have ever seen in a store and much more supportive as a result. I purchased this because I suffer from chronic lower back pain that quickly becomes unbearable when I sit for a length of time. The cushion instantly started to relieve my back pain and has actually improved my overall condition tremendously. After just 2 days, I was speechless. Now, after more than a week, I am able to do much more at work and I don't moan in pain every time I get up from a sitting position. I am a rather stocky 260lbs and the cushion is managing my weight with no problems. It starts out very firm and softens up a bit after about 30 minutes but does not go flat. I have to say it again - I am impressed!

I ordered one as a trial with the hope that it would help facilitate a very elderly person's needs. The cushion came as expected via Prime. Very good quality contruction with a nice feel to the upper fabric. After being used for just a few hours I planned to order another which I did. Very comfortable. The gel is cool for at least a little while, certainly better than plain memory foam. The no skid bottom is very much appreciated as securely staying in place on hardwood and upholsterd chairs. Helps with the spine as well as providing a little extra lift and comfort when used in a wheelchair. I trust the cushion will hold up as well as expected. Will probably order one for myself.

I sat on it for two hours and immediately bought another one for work

This seat cushion is SO GOOD. I have had a lot of problems with pressure on my tailbone and resulting back problems, and they've been getting worse. I will be honest, I have only tried the old-fashioned medical donuts, so I don't have much to compare it to. However, this cushion is nicely thick, and the cutout and contours are so perfect and they take all pressure off my tailbone. After working for a few hours, I got up and for the first time in almost a year, didn't have pain. Normally, the pressure on my tailbone becomes pretty bad while sitting, but produces an even sharper pain upon standing. Feeling so great for the first time prompted me to buy another for work so I could keep this one at home and never be without it! Hopefully, reducing the pressure on my tailbone will also help it heal, but even being free from pain is wonderful.

Works better than a cushion costing 5x more!

I have been suffering from an intensely painful tailbone condition. I first tried a $175 cushion from a local pain store and while it was nice it was just too much cushion, made me sit too high in my chairs and was not practical to take with me, so I returned it. I next tried a wedge cushion (which, to be fair, was designed for use in a car); it is nice in the car but smashes down too much in my chairs. So, I ordered this cushion because I have gel mattress toppers and have loved those. This cushion seemed too firm at first but after a few minutes it softened and provided the perfect amount of firmness yet is very comfortable. The gel ensures that it does not smash down too much, and it does not make me too high in my chairs. I took this cushion with me to a restaurant last night. If I had not had this cushion there is no way I could have sat through dinner!! I am so thrilled with this cushion. I can now sit for long periods and get out of the chair easily and without nearly screaming from pain.

Happy does not start to describe. Suffering with a deformed coccyx bone for year means very painful to sit for any considerable length of time. I havw tried other set cushios with cut outs that have "fallen flat" and I am not overly heavyset (maybe could lose 10lbs). Thaf said tried this cushion because took my grandson to Disney, I dreaded the plane ride and due to other spine issues that would prevent my walking all day I would need a scooter chair, that meant sitting mostly all day. So I looked around and decided on your ComfiLife cushion. Well, I guess this is winding up to be a testimonial, because for the first time in 15 years I could sit through the day, scooting around throughout Disney one day, Universal another Disney Hollywood the third, with my family! No more numb bum.

As an audiobook narrator, I spend a great deal of time propped on my bum. It's difficult to concentrate on the book you're narrating when your bum goes numb. I HIGHLY recommend this seat cushion. I am a receptionist and sit pretty much all day long. I've had back and neck issues from a car accident, and sitting just aggravates things more. About 6 months ago I started having shooting pains from my left hip down the side of my leg, and even worse sharp and shooting pain from just below my right butt check down the back of my leg.
