Compact, has everything you need

This sewing kit has everything you need, and it is small enough that you can travel with it easily. It comes with several extra needles so when you lose one, you have a lot of backups. It comes with two needle threaders and my only issue with these are that they are very fragile but if you are careful, you'll be fine. I like that it comes with several different colors of thread, and each spool has plenty of thread for your basic needs like sewing on buttons, or sewing a patch over a hole. The case is sturdy and the inside straps will keep everything from moving around when the case is shut. Everything is in place when you open it which is much better than just throwing everything into a big basket like I used to do before. Now I don't have to waste time looking for a certain color of thread or a needle. You get everything listed in the description, and I can say that everything is of good quality. Bottom line: this case is sufficient for basic sewing needs, and its compact design and carrying kit make it well worth the purchase.

Good enough

A great kit for the price, and a decent kit overall. What you get: The product image has everything. In short, you get everything you'd ever need to do basic sewing. A case of needles, small scissors, a seam ripper, a good selection of small thread spools, garment tape, and even a thimble. Plus straight and closed pins, and more. It's a very exhaustive little kit. What's missing? Nothing really, but the closest to notable omissions are a pincushion, more sizes of needles, a garment pencil, and a magnifying glass. All things you can do without. How good is it? All the pieces are decent quality. The scissors are perhaps the weakest point as they're a little flimsy, but they're TSA-approved so it's hard to argue. They get the job done. Strongest point? Lots of kit for the money. This is a very complete kit for clothing repairs or quick around-the-house jobs, at a very reasonable price. Plus it all zips up into a wonderful case, it's very convenient. Weakest point? The needles look like they only come in one size, because the included sizes are quite similar. I found the largest needle was a little too flimsy for the work I needed to do with denim, but it did manage to do the job. The needles also seem like they're not the sharpest I've ever used, again with the small needle taking a lot of work to push through denim. But it did the job, and that's all I really care about. For more regular fabrics the included needles are fine, although I'd certainly look to upgrade in the future. Overall recommended. Fits in a pocket, and just manages to mend denim. That's exactly what I needed it for.

Amazing Customer Service!

Amazing Customer Service! We ordered the kit as part of our granddaughter's "first year away at college" Christmas presents. The quality of the contents is very good...I was impressed. But the zipper on my order wasn't working to close. Before I even decided to return, I received an email from the company asking if I was satisfied with my order. I sent a response, explaining the issue, but since we are celebrating with her before Christmas there was no time to return, and still have one to give her. Within the hour, an email arrived noting that they had placed another order and would be sending a replacement......just wow! Highly recommend as a great stocking stuffer or a gift to someone newly away from home. This company delivers!

Everything (and more) for a starter

Recently got my own place. My mother had the entire sewing kit, which was far more than I needed for occasional repairs. This has EVERYTHING you will ever need to get started in a very compact form (assuming you know how to use it all). The needle dispenser is nice, but a little cheap; it's made of the kind of plastic you expect to harden over time and become brittle (and prone to breakage). End-user might want to invest in a pincushion of sorts in case it does break. Extra pins are a plus - from my experience, when you do need them, you NEED THEM, so it's great to have them included. Overall excellent product.

Love the thoughtfulness of the kit which includes multiple needles

Very convenient and compact sewing kit for someone who doesn't sew but whose children manage to need everything under the sun mended in many different colors (including stuffed animals). My husband benefits from it as well, even though he gave me the "Did you really need that?" look when it first arrived. Love the thoughtfulness of the kit which includes multiple needles, thread, scissors, measuring tape, safety pins, regular pins, etc...and that thingy-ding that helps you thread the needle. Love it!

Portable sewing kit

This kit is small and the quality is good, great size for camping/travel etc. The scissors are stainless steel and sharp, there is a good assortment of needles, pins and accessories The thread colors are OK but I will be replacing a few spools with others. The overall quality is good and priced right.

Best organized kit I've ever had

I really love the kit that I bought and use it all the time. I almost didn't give it five stars because I don't like the needle holder. I find it hard to get the needles in and out and prefer the traditional paper method of holding them. But, overall is just too darn good to deduct the start for something as small as that. It's the handiest, most well organized sewing kit I've ever had.

Great sewing kit!

As someone who used to make a lot of my own clothes "back in the day" (when it was cheaper to sew them than buy them), I am VERY pleased with this well-designed and compact little sewing kit. It has everything you'd need for a quick mend job. The safety pins are a bit on the wimpy side, but at least I have some now! (It's been years since I've bought any, so maybe this is the standard "gauge" of metal used now??) Anyway, I'm very happy with this product and the handy zippered carrier is a nice weight and well-organized. Overall, I'm very pleased with it!

This kit is pretty complete for a travel set

This kit is pretty complete for a travel set, and would have been very handy except that the eyes in the needles are too small to get the thread through! The needle threaders don't fit through either. This "small flaw" renders the entire kit unusable. UPDATE! The seller contacted me due to my negative review, wanting to make it right. She gave me a refund of the kit price, so that I can buy a set of needles with decent eye size. I'm very happy with this solution and would buy from this company again.
