This is the 4th battery tester we have bought in the past year. We have small ones, a large one, digital, and a battery operated battery tester (sounds like an oxymoron). In any case, none of them did everything we wanted. Some would test button batteries well but not "regular" batteries, another we have works great on everything but nine-volt and button. The last one we bought was the battery operated most expensive and we found it said everything we tested was fine. This one seems to work on all sizes and I have purposefully tried to "fool" it and it still comes thru. Finally!

I love rechargeable batteries but it's hard to know when they're going to need a recharge. This awesome little gizmo is super quick and easy to use--a quick clamp and you can see how much power is left in the battery. Also, I am a musician with a lot of 9v and other size batteries in my gear. When there's a sound problem, I'm always left to wonder if there's a dead battery somewhere (where??). This battery tester has been making troubleshooting a breeze!

For $7 and PRIME delivery, this little unit is an absolute bargain. Checks every size of 1.5V battery as well as 9V batteries. Easy to use, easy to read, and will save you a lot of $ on batteries and a lot of confusion on whether the battery or the device is bad. Example: I had three identical table top stereos with identical remotes. I was preparing to advertise them for sale and had just replaced all of the AA batteries with fresh ones out of a package. I couldn't figure out why one remote wouldn't work. Used this tester to determine that one of the brand new batteries was DOA - dead right out of the new package! I also use this to assist in knowing when I really need to replace smoke detector batteries, since our detectors are connected to AC and only use battery on those rare occasions when the power is off. This little tester is a real gem! It's paid for itself 2-3x over already.

I tried it on all types of batteries that it supports. So quick and easy! None of the unnecessary features like amp test, ohms test and no wires! Just place the batter between the red and black poles, slide the red one tight to the battery and voila! Your test is done in seconds. I just removed two AA batteries from our nice battery charger. I test both and the meter shot right into the green indicator. I expected that too happen. Very nice! I then took a couple very old (still in packages) C and 9v batteries that I have had for over five years. They were copper-top brand. To my surprise both batteries made past the middle area of the green. The D-fantiX Battery Tester is light weight and should not be tossed or dropped on hard surfaces. This is a home-use gadget that should be handled by responsible adults. My suggestion would be to put it back in it's package after use, especially if it's going into a tool box. AND! No battery is needed inside the tester. Each battery is tested using whatever power level it's at. What a great invention and certainly has a great future for home use. I highly recommend this product.

I needed a new battery tester because my current one is at least 10 years old, it seemed to be inaccurate and does not test the smallest batteries used in watches and the lazer we use for our cats to chase the dot it makes on the floor. So I went to Amazon to find one. There I found many different ones and even the same one I currently have and not wanting the same type I chose the D-FantiX. I ordered it and received it very promptly and tested the batteries in my tv controller that my old tester registered as good but the controller was acting up. Using the D-FantiX it registered the batteries as poor. I put in new batteries and the controller worked much more efficiently. I am very happy with the D-FantiX and recommend others to buy one also.

Super easy to use, minimal adjusting to test different types of batteries. I use a wildlife camera out back to record the squirrels and birds and when it showed the batteries were going low I was able to figure out it was only two of the eight batteries. Had I not had this I might have foolishly tossed out 8 batteries that we're still perfectly good! Wish I bought one of these long ago.

Work well, nice price, clumsy to use. This is the fourth of fifth tester I have with this design. I buy them and give them to friends with the admonition to keep good batteries in their emergency equipment. It only takes a minute to be safe by keeping full-power batteries in flashlights, radios, garage door openers and smoke alarms. But if those devices fail in an emergency and someone is injured, you may never recover. One thing I don't like. It's clumsy to use. It's left-handed. It's hard to see from the picture but you hold the device in the right hand and your thumb is on the right side. Well, you can't move the left-sided red slider into position with your thumb on the opposite side. It takes gymnastics to make it work. Or a table. Or three hands. So, it's not perfect, but it's inexpensive. It works. And it could make a huge difference in an emergency. Buy a dozen. Give them to your friends. So why do I buy this one? I haven't seen another one that looks easier. Batteries testers are clearly designed by engineers, not users.

I love this handy little gadget-- I tested all the batteries in the drawer of new ones, all the batteries in different devices, and suddenly realized there are batteries in my Swiffer floor mop, and that the fact the mop was not working was because the batteries were dead. This thing is essential for a functioning household, My husband had some kind of complicated thing that tested percentages of voltage, and it was useless. Everyone should have at least two of these Battery testers in their home, and buy some for the grandkids, too. Only slight problem is that one needs to use special care to make sure the batteries are positioned exactly right, they can easily slide to one side.

I do have another battery tester, but this FantiX battery tester covers more bases. Since I can even use it to test button cells. I like the manual version of it.....sometimes basic is best. As I've tested several button cell batteries, alongside of double AAs and 9 volt batteries....the readings, thus far, have all proved to be accurate. Accuracy counts because it is a time saver. The caliper style gauge is super easy to slide and manipulate---and it appears to be well constructed. Only a couple of weeks into using it, and already, it's paid for itself by saving me time.! I've definitely pleased with it......I keep a stock of batteries on hand, for use in various implements during adverse weather......this battery tester is the perfect accompaniment to my select group of batteries.

Primary use is AA and AAA batteries. Many electronic devices, such as remote controls and LED flashlights, do not work well unless this tester needle is near maximum. Even if the needle is still in the "GOOD" green range, they will not work. Knowing this the tester saves me time in knowing whether a replacement battery is really good enough. It is a very good value that performs well.
