Cute but Expensive
I love how this book has the cutest animal designs and all the places to put the important moments. If you're one to write tons of notes, then this might not be the best for you, but I just wanted something to fill in real quickly and a place to put some cute pictures. Speaking of pictures, a lot of the boxes are 3X3, which is a really strange size. Many of the others are 4X4. There's places for ultrasound, pregnancy photo, family tree, day of birth and stats, first holidays, firsts like bath and dr. appointments, hospital bracelet and birth announcements, footprints, and extra pages at the end for more stuff. Even though the book is really cute, 35$ seems like a steep price.

Great baby book
This book is so cute! Saw it at Nordstrom's originally and just had to buy it! Breaks down by month and baby firsts with plenty of options for pictures. Includes a page for baby hand/foot prints, adding baby hospital bracelet, writing a letter to baby, etc. Really love this book!

Love this book!
Such a cute baby book! I love how simple it is but it still has so much story to tell! The colors are bright and vivid and the illustrations are really cute. I like the monthly pics and the baby's firsts in the back along with the holidays. There are a bunch of blank pages in the back that you can customize however you want. I didn't want anything that I had to journal in or write a lot because I still haven't finished the pregnancy journals I have because it was just too much so this book is perfect. Also, FoxPrints is a great company where you can print photostickers that fit perfectly in this book. All the photos are either 4x4 or 3x3 and these stickers make it super easy! If you use the code: LUCYDARLING you get twelve 3x3 stickers free.. I found this on the LucyDarling website.

The best baby book by far...
The best baby book by far... I've seen other baby books and many of them appeared to be a chore and overwhelming to complete. This is probably why some of my friends with kids have never completed their books although they initially intended to do so. I loved the simplicity of this book. It covers everything I'd like in the birth/first year and there are separate pages for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th birthdays as well as the first day of school - certainly days I'd like to have remembered. The illustrations are colorful, modern and attractive. The hardcover, sturdy and pages are thick like cardstock although I do not recommend writing in ink/marker that would bleed through. If there is a page that does not apply to you or you don't care to complete, you can easily tear it out as the pages are bound by a spiral spine and are not numbered. I'd love to receive this as a baby shower gift and would probably pick this up for the next shower that I attend.

The most adorable baby book- simple enough that you will actually fill it out!
My son is 4 months old now and I have loved filling out the monthly page each and every month. There are monthly pages for 0-12 months and then yearly till year 5. Would have loved to get it before my son was born because there are quite a few "pre" pages before birth. It would be a great shower gift for any Mom-to-Be. My husband actually loves this too. Its super cute!

Great Book that Won't Take Up All of Your Time
Favorite baby book concept I could find. It's simple and allows a busy parent (which we all are) to capture major milestones. Originally, I ordered a 5 year baby book and it had so many details to fill in that I found it intimidating and that it would be too much of a time commitment. This book offers a place for pictures through the first day of school as well as some blank pages, so you still get to document events without spending hours upon hours doing so. Also a great gender-neutral choice for parents who don't want something pink or blue themed. This book covers the essentials!

Sweet, simple, gender neutral for those who have surprise gender
Sturdy pages with sweet and simple illustrations. Perfect for the parent who wants a simple baby book but doesn’t need the very elaborate pages where you record every sneeze and weigh-in. It’s realistic that a busy new parent could actually fill it in. Now I just need to explain to my older son why his little sister will have her baby book filled out while his huge one is blank...poor guy. Don’t forget to bring it to the hospital with you and the nurses will add the baby’s footprints and even hands if baby cooperates! Update: After over a year of filling this in, my only complaint is that the spaces for the baby pictures are all square, so every picture you print to add you have to cut to the right size, sometimes trimming more than you’d like. But if you decide not to trim then you might cover up some of the lines provided to fill in info for that month. It’s a small book but rectangular picture places would be better.

Sweet illustrations, perfect book for the most important memories/milestones!
This is such a cute little memory book for baby's first year. While I love the idea of journaling and writing down lots of memories for baby, I know myself, and I would just fall behind if I had to keep up with too many milestones! This book has the perfect amount of space to write a few memories/milestones for each month, and the pages have very sweet little illustrations. I love the animal theme for baby boy. I also appreciate that there are some blank pages in the back where I can write down more details, of the day of birth for example. One critique would be that the pages for pictures of "first holidays" includes a lot of holidays that I wouldn't necessarily need. Example - Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Cinco de Mayo. They're fun holidays, but as a mom who doesn't buy themed clothes for every minor holiday of the year, these photo slots aren't necessary for me, and will probably stay blank! Overall a great book, and I hope Lucy Darling makes a few additional designs so that I can buy these for future babies without using the exact same book over again!

Very simple and basic
Love how this is a simple book. It contains pages for every birthday up to age 5 and the first day of school. Also there are pages for each month and on the page you write the same four things each month: what they love, what they don't like, what they can do, and we'll never forget when... Also a couple extra pages for the birth announcement, hospital bracelet, first scribble, our home, pregnancy information. There are some blank pages in the back to write whatever you'd like (I wrote what occurred during the hospital stay and the first few weeks home). Also there are spots for pictures of all the major holidays. The slots for pictures are small but my recommendation is to download the shutterfly app and order 4x4 photos for free. They are still a little too big but you can cut the photos to fit or lose a little of the background. If you like to have a LOT of information for each milestone and month, this isn't the book for you. It is what it states, "A simple books of firsts" which is exactly what I was looking for. :)

Perfect for a first time mom wanting to capture the highlights of that first couple of years.
This is perfect for any new mom who has felt the want and need to document baby's first year, but also could not follow through due to the bulky books having too many fill in the blanks. Lucy Darling captures the highlights, but helps it not be overwhelming by requesting too much of a new mom. The pages are designed so beautifully. This book also has several pages at the back to add whatever pictures extra you may want. I love that it has the firsts and the birthdays, and months covered, but doesn't go overboard like so many other baby books do.
