Crucial for Beach Cabanas
We bought this for "EasyGO Products Weight Portable & Comfortable Cabana With Uv 50+ Protection, Brown Leaves," and have used it at the beach for the past week. We have had variable wind and the Sand Anchor is the reason that the Cabana did not blow, though we used it along with the "Canopy Weight Bags for Pop up Canopy Tent, Sand Bags for Instant Outdoor Sun Shelter Canopy Legs, 4-Pack (Bags Only, Sand Not Included)". I believe that if we had not had these two additional products our Cabana would most certainly have broken or flown away. The additional items make the Cabana considerably more expensive, but they make it work. The Sand Anchor securely turns into the sand so that the pole does not pull out; again it is crucial to get the extra Weight bags as well. So, while I am not making this review for the Sand Anchor alone, I believe that it is excelllent and strong even though it is plastic, it is hard plastic. This is the reason for my 5 star review.

I haven't tried the darned thing yet, but was so enamored of their follow-up email that I felt I had to give it 5 thumbs up. But honestly it is solidly built with good reinforcement of the arms so they won't be breaking off when it's screwed into the sand. Hopefully we'll be trying it out for real in a couple weeks and I'll come back and re-rate it if it doesn't live up to my expectations.

Stronger than others
I like this umbrella sand anchor better than others because the handles are stroger and the screw is wider than others, so you have a very good hold on your umbrella if the wind is heavy. I have bought other brands and the handles brake easily if the sand is hard and you can lose the screw because it is not attached to the anchor. So, this anchor cost a little bit more, but it last a lot more time than the others. I go to the beach every weekend all year long, so I know my anchors and my umbrellas.

The BEST and worth the money!
This was a tough purchase for me. The cost was high in my mind...a sand anchor for how much??? In reality, it was the best money I've spent on beach gear per square inch by far. I bought an Easy Go Cabanaba...which is basically an umbrella with four fabric corners. I love the product, but it came with a really flimsy anchor...that's why I bought the Beachr. The Beachr umbrella stand holds my umbrella cabana firm even in the strongest winds. I had the only umbrella on the beach not up-lifted from the sand, 2 beach trips ago...to boot...my umbrella, didn't even shift in the wind. No readjusting once set in place. I have found that to be true of the Beachr umbrella stand, time and time again. I highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate. High quality product, came in time frame promised and in great shape. I have included pictures with my review.

Does the job and holds fast.
I've used my beach umbrella in the past (very large one with side flaps that come down) and had issues with it coming out of the sand despite it being screwed into the sand 1' deep. this this feels like it will last, didn't budge even with holding open umbrella in beach winds for over 24hrs. anchor held strong. This will definitely be put with my other beach stuff and i believe will be used for many many years to come.

Check your umbrella first!
I bought this anticipating needing this, and actually didn't-my umbrella had a screw bottom already. But we used them on vacation at Fort Walton Beach and this thing is the bomb! I ended up giving it to a family of four whose umbrella kept falling over. They had never seen one and loved it.

Pound for pound the best Sand Umbrella Anchor
This is a great Item. Light weight, yet sturdy. This is my second Beach Umbrella Anchor and I have had great luck with my 1st for three season at he beach. I've tried other sand anchors and pound for pound this is the best. The metal anchors do not hold up well with salt water and start corroding and rusting. Some of the other plastic anchors do not have the larger screw threads that the Beachr has and therefore do not screw in as well. Make sure you get this screwed in at 12 inches and you will be good to go. The only drawback is the largest umbrella shaft the anchor will accommodate is 1 ½ inch diameter. I have one great 7ft umbrella that has a shaft larger than 1 ½ inch and it will not work. Bottom line-- if your looking for an anchor that works look no further.

Rock solid and built like a tank. No more flying umbrellas at the beach. Buy it now!
Great product, I should have purchased this product ages ago. The last time before I purchased this umbrella the wind was bad at the beach. We nearly lost our umbrella several times. Enough was enough. Red the review and purchased this one. Went to the beach and it worked flawless. This makes the umbrella rock solid in the sand. I tried to pull it out without Unscrewing it . this thing was going no where. One thing my wife did was to put arrows on it to dictate the direction to turn it to put in and pull it out. Yes a simple thing but speeds up the process even more. Would highly recommend it.

Lifesaver - must have if you're using an umbrella
I really hemmed and hawed over spending $20 on an umbrella anchor because I like to keep things simple at the beach and carry nothing more than a towel, a book and water. This summer, I decided I needed an umbrella so I could find some shade throughout the day so I didn't burn out after the first hour. The umbrella was a great idea and this sand anchor is a must. Digging the umbrella into the sand is no easy task and most of the time, you can't get it in far enough for the umbrella to stay. This anchor really helps out tremendously, you just turn the handle into the sand (no need to push hard) until the sand comes up to the blue line and attach your umbrella into the hole. The hole for the umbrella is large enough to fit almost all umbrellas (we have used it on three different sized umbrellas with no issue), there's a little screw in there to secure the umbrella and you're done! I will say the anchor is larger than I expected but I wouldn't dream of not taking it when I'm using my umbrella. It easily fit into my beach bag (sticking out a little) and was very easy to hose off of any sand once we were done. Everything is plastic so you don't run the risk of the salt from the ocean rusting anything - perfect for many days at the beach.

Just tried this out on a fairly windy day in Fort Walton Beach, FL. I was able to twist it in fairly easily, and then I inserted a beach umbrella I bought at Target. This sand anchor held firm, and the umbrella didn't come out, despite the wind. I will probably buy another.
