Works great!
I love my new Roxant Grip Scope. The design is simple and functional and it fits my hand very comfortably. It feels like a top quality item and based on all the other products I looked at before deciding on this one the price is very reasonable. I bought this mainly for birdwatching. I can see every detail on the birds through the crystal clear lens of this scope. I have a desk next to my living room window and the scope sits right next to my computer ready for action. This scope has a very small foot print and a very big joy factor!

Great scope-I like it better than the mini
The grip scope is a really nice mono-scope for the price. The optics seem to be high quality and the wide field of view makes the image less jumpy and brighter than the smaller 1/2 priced Roxant mini-scope. It's easier to acquire your target, track it and keep it in focus than with the smaller but slightly higher magnification mini. I can use this one with or without my glasses, a big plus! I have both and was surprised at the small size of the mini, despite having read the description. I will likely use the grip scope more often for boating, shooting, nature watching, concerts/sports and keep the mini as a backup in my car glove box. Update: 5/01/2016. I tried using this scope yesterday to view hits on targets at 50 yards at an outdoor shooting range. This scope does not have the magnification required for detailed images at this range. It's still useful for the indoor pistol range at 25 feet or checking on archery scores, but if you want it for shooting longer distances, just spring for the more expensive 30-60x scopes made for this purpose. It's still a very nice compact scope for nature watching or sight seeing, etc. and is a great addition to any backpack, car, or bicycle bag.

Excellent Monocular Spotting Scope!
After reading and watching several positive reviews on spotting scope websites and YouTube, I purchased this economical Roxant High Definition Grip Scope. It is an excellent day or night monocular viewing tool, with a high quality/solid build. This sturdy-rubberized scope contains an ergonomic focusing ring, as well as a retractable eyecup in case you wear glasses. With 6X30 power and very wide field of view, its multi-coated optics deliver sharp pictures in a very portable package. I use it for many round-the-clock activities, including target practice, nature viewing and astronomical observation. The convenient package includes a case, carrying cord and polishing cloth. In addition, I have received excellent customer service feedback directly from Roxant regarding product features and capabilities. If you are looking for a top-performing yet cost-effective spotting scope, this Roxant Grip Scope would be a wise choice!

Ordered 4 different monoscopes. The Roxant is the winner.
I actually purchased 4 different monoscopes when I ordered the Roxant 6 x 30 wide lens. In addition to that, I ordered a Polaris 10x50, a Carson 6x18 and a MiluoTech 16x52. I planned on using the scope for several reasons. 1) Bird watching to get a better look at the species that are checking out our bird feeder. 2) To be able to look down into the pasture and see where the goats are. 3) To look out and see boats and/or whales in Puget Sound. The Polaris is nice as it has a larger zoom factor, but I do find it always a tad bit soft in focus. The MiluoTech is was blurry and worthless and is going back. The little Carson is a nice little scope, but I am probably giving it to a friend because of the Roxant. The Roxant is a great scope and it has the same 6x zoom factor as the Carson, so I don't really need the Carson other then it's so small to fit into a pocket when out walking on trails with wildlife around. The bumps on the Roxant will be great for holding on to it when using the scope while wearing gloves. The bumps seem to be comfortable bare-handed and don't become annoying because they are too sharp or hard. The rubberized feel is just right too. The weight and size is just right for my hands. I wear an X-Small Universal Glove. The instructions are great! The adjustable eyecup is very nice to have. I really like the wider lens with the 6x zoom and the image is so crisp and clear. (The wider lens on this Roxant would be the reason I'm probably giving the Carson away....) While bird watching, I find I like the Roxant as it allows me to quickly find those fast little birds and watch them move around. Once they actually stay on the bird feeder and don't move, then I switch to the Polaris pre-focused at the feeder so I can achieve the close up details to look the bird up in my bird books. The price does seem fair and the quality of the build appears to be there. (I don't intend to do any drop tests!) I am very pleased I chose this scope! This is going to be the scope I reach for most often. Thank you!

Awesome! Perfect for Surveying Any Area from a Safe Distance!!!
This Roxant monocular is a perfect addition to my survival collection. Sure, you can see the equivalent of 10 city blocks away from a good vantage point, but with this, you can see much more detail. I took it to the window to look about 1/4 mile away, and was able to clearly read the writing on storefront property doors, such as suite #'s, see the edges of the buildings and the areas on the sides and behind them with much more clarity as well. Basically, it's not supposed to magnify the expression on someone's face, though it is clear enough to see whether or not they're smiling! But the point of this, for me anyways, is to be able to clearly identify activity, to clearly see and identify movement, and with this monocular, i will be able to survey any location from a safe distance prior to entering the area. There's a con though! The little bag this comes in is a good bag, granted. My issue with it though is that it's not padded at all. It's just the thin material of the bag protecting the lenses, both of them. I tell you that if you drop this while it's in the carry case and either side of it hits the ground on top of a lucky raised up and pointy object, it will probably be damaged. So i cut out two 1 1/2" X 12" strips from a Life cereal box and thoroughly electrical taped them together to form one longer, circular protective covering. If you do it right, you can fit the monocular inside of the thin long piece of cardboard and stretch it around it very taut. Then, keep it in that shape and push the monocular out of it, secure the cardboard that way, then complete the tape wrap & it will be perfect. Bend it this way and that and in about 20 minutes, you'll have a very, very tough circle of protection that you can squeeze the monocular into. Then you can take the included cleaning cloth and slide it into the side of the monocular's new protective housing, connect the included strap to the loop that the monocular is fitted with, tuck that into the side of the housing, and it's all done. Then, stuff it back into the carry case and throw it against the wall or out the window if you want, it will hold up to anything except a deliberate and very heavy crushing. I'm sure there are other ways, i tried using a thin strip of towel, even squares to cover the lenses, but this ended up being absolutely the perfect protection because it is thin enough to fit inside the bag and certainly tough enough to keep it from giving if it lands vertically on either side (sides as in where the lenses are). Lastly, the adjustable eye piece is perfect because it truly helps with clearing up the picture. Take advantage of it! I couldn't have asked for a more professional device with which to survey areas from afar. If SEHTF, my little girl and me won't ever be walking into any situation which could have been avoided simply by paying $40 for an awesome monocular that is super-compact. Buy it, you won't regret it. Not for this price and for the amount of zoom that it provides. If you're looking to have power-vision with a monocular, don't complain about this product. Go spend a thousand dollars and you'll barely accomplish a better result.

Straight to the point
I purchased this model for myself with the possibility of purchasing more for my family members in the future. My reasoning for my purchase may seem strange. I am not one those preppers, but I did purchase this scope for my go bag, which stays with me. I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and the possibility of our large earthquake always has me thinking of ways to ensure safety during times of crisis. I currently work 15 miles from my home, so if the big earthquake did hit, the only way I would get home is on foot as our road system would be destroyed. I wanted to use this to literally scope out things farther away in order to facilitate safe travel. Using this at concerts, events or looking at nature are also on the list of course! I love the ability to use this scope with or without glasses on, the expandable eyepiece is a really nice feature. I find the weight to be perfect, don't want too many heavy things in my go bag. The clarity and distance are just right for my needs. The price, I thought, was more than reasonable. It is compact and feels like it has been constructed sturdily. The rubber grip and textured focus ring are easy to distinguish and use while looking through the eyepiece. My only wish would be the ability to not have it in the case it came in, so a pop off cap for the scope would be awesome. I'm currently using the small microfiber cloth that came with it to cover the eyepiece while it's in its case. The strap is a nice feature, I put that on right away!

Roxant Grip Scope--The clear winner!
I was looking for a monocular that stows easily for day trips and canoeing. I wanted excellent optics and a reasonable price. The Roxant Grip Scope fits that bill. I was honestly surprised at the clear sharp image that this monocular provides. Admittedly, at 5 inches in length and 1 and 1/2 inches in diameter, it is not the smallest unit on the market. But I tried some of the smaller models and found the focus lacking. I don't mind carrying a little extra heft in order to get much better viewing. I did not weigh the Roxant but it seems about the same as a cup of coffee. If you don't want to lug a full size set of binoculars, but still want to view wildlife, concerts, or mountain vistas, I think you will be happy with the Grip Scope. While on a cruise just for fun I help the Grip Scope up to my cell phone and took some shots. Obviously this is not what the Grip Scope was designed for. I am including three pics to give you an idea. The first pic is of a beach with no magnification. The second pic is with the 4x magnification standard in the Samsung Galaxy S4. The third pic was shot through the Roxant with the cell still on 4x power. There was no tripod, all were shot hand held. Again these were just for fun, holding the Roxant to the phone, and clicking. You are not going to get a perfect picture every time, balancing the cell phone and Roxant together, but what you can get with the Grip Scope is soooo cool. Lots of FUN. Highly recommended.

Great as a pocket spotting scope!
I like the size of the view, it's big enough to have a good area, but not too small My usage of this item was to fit inside a pouch on a tactical vest for Airsoft events, and it fit just fine! I'm using it to spot enemies, where eyesight is difficult to spot camouflaged enemies, and a crisp image with a monocular might help out. I am happy with what I got. Some of my friends say it might not be necessary to have in a tactical battle, but I say it can never hurt to have one on your vest! I haven't used it a a distance long enough to need to focus yet, but I like that ability to do so. I also like the eye relief on this device, as the relief distance coincides perfectly with the goggles I have on, which makes looking though it a lot easier instead of holding it out in front of my eye. My only two cents is I wish it was a little smaller yet, but at the same time the wide view is nice. I definitely wouldn't go any bigger though. I like the rubber grip, it feels real sturdy to hold, and doesn't feel like I would have any issues handling it at all. I'd say for the quality of this item, the price is reasonable. However when I was searching for a pocket monocular my original price range was a little lower, in the 20$ range. This seemed worth the extra money, however, and it had good reviews.

life has gotten better. As a family use it for birdwatching
Not a while ago I purchased a german made/designed monocular called “DOCTER” 8x21 also the price was 5X your product. I purchased it because of its compactness and the DOCTER name. It was a total disappointment/waste of money. Eye relief was my biggest issue, you cannot wear eyeglasses and get the full field of view… Now that I have your product , life has gotten better. As a family use it for birdwatching, outdoor sporting events, games, etc…. And 6x magnification is easier to use/focus in most situations. Here is my feedback Pros: Ease of use & focus Very good Grip Very good eye relief Solid build Light weight - is very easy to hold steady with virtually no shake Wide view Excellent Price Range By far has the brightest and largest image area and is the easiest for quick target acquisition. Cons Warranty should be clearly stated on the accompanying how-to documentation or on Amazon Marketplace (I may have missed it) It has a very limited focus range hard/stiff knob located directly underneath the eyecup Overall It is a great balance between optical capability and usability. I am very happy with my purchase and I highly recommend the product. Really nice, solid made monocular, and priced reasonably for the performance and quality it delivers.

Well made, easy to use, clear vision, and magnifies better than my 10x90 scope. A winner.
A really neat Monuclar scope. Comes in a nice case. . Rubber on outside with nubs to help you hold it without slipping. Metal inside and a nice weight. Very comfortable to hold. I wondered about perhaps it would not give enough magnification as it was 6x. I do have one that is 10xxx90 and it is nowhere near as good as this. I have better magnification and a wider view with this one. I am able to see my neighbors roof tiles that are probably over 300' away. I can also with the slightest adjustment see the flowers on my deck very clearly while with the other one, I have to fiddle with it to try and get to see what I want. The lens is very good and I can see everything without blurring. It took a second to adjust the eye piece. You just turn it counter clockwise and it extends. I had gotten my granddaughter their smaller one for college and she thinks it is great. Easy to take with her and see things she needs to see in a small version. Unlike the other reviewers, this was not a gift, nor did I get a discount for buying it. I liked what the seller had to say about it when I wrote a comment on what my granddaughter said. I get a lot of birds at my feeders and thought this would be easier to use than my binoculars that at 10x25. And so it is. I live with wetlands behind my home and this will help me enjoy watching everything that comes into it even more. A really nice, well made monocular. and a really good price for this quality.
