>.. These are a repurchase. That is, several years ago I bought six of these, and now my Sweetie needs some more. Do they work? Yes they do. If you use these in proportion to the volume of wet clothes, they can cut drying time by about a third, and they produce nicely softened clothes without odor. [Unless you perfume them as some do.] >.. Watch for these balls to end up in sleeves of long sleeved shirts, even unbuttoned ones, as they can get caught in them and arrive in the folding space [if not in your laundry room itself], hidden until folding. There is nothing holding these balls together [no glue, etc.] so, after several years [5 in our case] of daily family use, they do occasionally leave behind fibers. That is your clue to get new balls. >.. Are these economical? I would say yes. We used a fresh dryer sheet in every load, maybe 10 per week. Boxes of 50 are just a few dollars, but we didn't want the scents on our clothes. Now five year later, we have NOT bought (10 boxes a year times 5 years) 50 boxes of dryer sheets so we saved a net of $150 over that time. Not a huge amount, but in our case saving money, without loss of function, is valuable in itself. >.. Can these completely replace dryer sheets? Yes. If you want scented clothes [not for me or Sweetie], you can add your own scent[s] to the balls and I am assured that fragrance will reliably transfer to your clothes. [No personal experience, we bought these to AVOID the scents.] >.. I have given these as gifts, and they have been well received. Just a thought.

HOW HAVE I JUST HEARD OF THESE? I was so excited to try these out. With our loads of towels we always have to do a timed dry instead of sensor and always have to run it at least and hour, NOT ANYMORE! That was the first test I put these through and I could have the towels on a sensor dry for only 40 minutes! They were completely dry and fluffy! We do have a bit a static (I don’t care) and they make a little bit of noise (again, don’t care) but they have drastically cut back our drying times! For the towel loads I use all six and most other times also use the full six except with my toddlers load of laundry which I only use 3 and they work so great. Money well spent and I’m no longer using dryer sheets after finding out how bad they are for the machine.

This is my second set of these. With a large family (I have 10 children) and lots of laundry, I seem to lose wool balls in the "To Fold" piles of clothes. I purchased another set to increase the number available. I do find that the laundry dries quicker in the dryer. As a thrifty mom, I wouldn't have spent money on another set if I didn't think they were worth it. Plus, it is cheaper to buy these high quality ones instead of making your own. Very happy with the purchase (again)!

I can't say enough about theses wool dryer balls. I have been using them all weekend and they work perfect. I am using two at a time and a a few drops of essential oils to each ball. I dont even have a static problem! I will be ordering more soon to give away for my oil classes! Thanks for the great product! Oils not included

I've always used dryer sheets, but decided to switch to these dryer balls on a whim. I can't believe it took me this long to discover them! They really do reduce wrinkling, drying time, and they're very easy to use. Whenever I want to remove wrinkles from a clean dry shirt, I dampen it and throw it in the dryer with these dryer balls. Comes out completely wrinkle free. With dryer sheets, I still saw some wrinkles. These dryer balls seem like they'll last for a really long time - years! In the long run, it'll save me a lot of money and it's more environmentally friendly than discarding dryer sheets after every use.

First off I would like start by addressing the negative comments/reviews about these dryer balls. 1. They don’t leave lint all over your black clothes!!! I wear black cotton leggings everyday. And these were certainly put to the test when I put all 5 pairs of my black leggings and other black clothing in the dryer with these balls for the first time. NOT A SINGLE PIECE OF LINT WAS LEFT BEHIND. 2. NO STATIC. Honestly it’s probably the quality of your dryer or how high you put the heat on if your clothes still have static after using these. Because after I used these balls in the dryer with all my sheets and clothes there was absolutely NO static. 3. They are not noisy!!! Common people do you really think that a soft ball of wool is so annoyingly loud that you have to leave a bad review. My dryer didn’t make any more noise then it usually does when drying a load of clothes. I suppose you can hear a small thump here and there. You can tell that they’re in there. But with a bunch of clothes it’s not some unbearable sound. Sounds like a normal load of laundry. 5. There is no scent. They’re just a ball of wool. They don’t smell like anything unless you put some essential oil on them. Which is Great! Overall I love these dryer balls! The price is great! They’re going to save me money in the long run so I don’t have to buy dryer sheets so much. I might still buy a pack here and there to add some scent to my load of laundry. But either way I think these are fantastic. They take all the lint and hair off my clothes and sheets. I have very long hair and sometimes after drying my clothes WITHOUT these balls I would find clumps of hair stuck to everything. But WITH the balls they collect all the hair and then I can easily take it off and dispose of it. Now I can’t tell if they cut down on dry time. They seem to help make the load dry slightly faster because they’re blouncing around and pummeling the clothes. But I can’t exactly tell with heavy heavy loads like with my boyfriends Carhartt work pants. Either way it doesn’t matter to me much because that is not the reason that I purchased them! I highly suggest purchasing these and trying them for yourself.

I made some wool clothes dryer balls years ago from wool yarn, just tightly wrapped it around and around (and around, etc.) itself into softball-sized balls, and used them in the dryer to alleviate static cling, reduce wrinkles, and negate the need for fabric softener in the wash (I hate the smell of towels and clothes washed with fabric softener). They worked, but were bigger (and heavier) than these balls, therefore they made a lot more noise as they tumbled in the dryer... not a big deal, just an observation. Also, over the years my homemade dryer balls would occasionally unravel a bit, gradually reducing their size as I trimmed off the unraveled string (in hindsight I probably could have just tucked the end back into he ball instead of cutting it off). Anyway, these balls are smaller (and lighter) do not unravel, and therefor don't possess any of the negatives I found with my homemade dryer balls. Plus, buying these is WAY easier than spending hours winding yarn into tight balls by hand. This pack of 12 balls is enough for (2) families... so we gave the extras away as gifts!

This is my third order and I am 100% happy! Other than the fact they get wound up in sheets and sometimes do not make it back in the dryer, they get the job done. I have noticed no static even with athletic pants/polyester or towels, and I don’t have the loose dryer sheets all over the house. Plus the scent of my detergent is not masked on dry clothes with artificial dryer sheet scent. Yay! I have been using the first set for at least 3 weeks, or 20 plus loads, and they hold up great. Upon opening there were no bugs, mold, or bad smells.

I love my balls. Yes, you read that correctly! These things are cool and I like how they move my laundry around in the dryer and clunk with each rotation...it's the rhythmic, soothing beat of my balls. I scent my balls with essential oils and let them do their job of making things smell good and fluffing the laundry. Definitely would recommend and would buy again, although I don't see that as being something that would be soon since they are so well made. Get some balls, you will be glad you did!

After reading multiple reviews, I'm confused as to why people act surprised when they use these for the first time. They're balls. They make some noise. They're wool. They're unscented. If you want sheets that are smelly, go back to your Bounce. Honestly -- read the product information, folks. 1. These are great. I use 3-4 for regular sized loads. 2. Static? Gone. 3. Wrinkles? Fewer 4. Dry time? Much less (this is a huge bonus) 5. They CAN be cleaned. Wash in warm water/gentle cycle, and dry in the dryer. They are reusable. 6. Size? A tad larger than a tennis ball. 7. Noise? They're balls. They're not as "hard" as a tennis ball, though, and make less noise than zippers and buttons (from clothes) do. 8. Essential oils? You can use them. Instructions are online everywhere. I have yet to try this.
