Fancy and robust

Had to return this because of the cost, but the features on this scanner are incredible! It also comes with a set of software that will make home business users' lives much easier, such as a business card organizer and advanced document search features.

This scanner does the job well!

I have one of these at work and knew I wanted this model for home. Yes, sometimes it isn't always the greatest at feeding the paper without a little babysitting, but it doesn't happen all the time once you figure out how to meet its needs. I have scanned many items and am pleased with the quality it gives me. One of the things that sold me on it was how user-friendly it is. All of the software features are easily understood and provide convenience in working with documents and photos. I like the feature that allows it to read both sides in one feed. Being able to add additional scans to what was just scanned is a great feature for me. Even removing a jammed document is simple. I suggest once you've installed the unit and loaded the software that you re-start your computer. It has a tendency to not recognize the scanner until you do. Make sure you turn the scanner on before you click the scanner icon or you'll get the same message. It's a little annoying but no biggie. If you've dealt with difficult scanners before, you'll find this one to be a relief and a joy.

Excellent color scanner for legal size and longer document.

This is a very nice flatbed and sheet-fed color scanner suitable for clear crisp legal size documents. The sheet feeder works very smoothly and reliably. I got it to save trips to FedEx copy center. Interface to computer is through a USB2 cable (not Ethernet or Wifi). This scanner is exactly what I needed to scan legal documents in a small office environment.

I think this is a great product and use it almost daily. Bought my first for at home and ended up buying a second for my small office. The document works better than expected. It is most useful with the pay Adobe Acrobat -- can scan and edit forms with ease. I have recommended this product to friends and will again. I love HP products!

This scanner comes with very intuitive software packed with features. What's good about the software is the ability to alter the scans after scanning is complete by changing colors, brightness, contrast, page order, and adding or removing pages. All of the scans come out clear, with high resolutions not taking too much time. By far, this scanner exceeds all of the competition with its single pass duplex scanning. This feature alone has made scanning much faster than the previous method of using a flatbed scanner to scan every page alone and having to handle every page scanned. Overall, this product performs very well.
